Once in his room William began analyzing all the spells relating to mind control.

"Out of the 4.2 million spells I've recorded, about ten thousand are mind control type spells. Let's organize them further, system..." thought William.

[Ding* Organizing [Mind Control] spells based on: Power, Duration, Mana requirement, effectiveness, etc.

[Ding* Uploading results to host.

"I see over 90% of mind control type spells can only be used against those of equal or lesser rank than the user. However, the reason I chose this spell type to be my first spell is for that 10%." thought William.

[Ding* System reminds host, that not all spells have been recorded from the tower.

"Yes, but those are for other races I can't use those anyways-" said William but stopped suddenly.

[Ding* System was referring to spells written on scrolls.

"System! Since you can compile books and fix flaws are you able to analyze spells from other races and modify them so that a human can cast them?!" thought William suddenly

[Ding* The only spells in system's file that belong to another race are 190 warlock spells recorded from general Ja'aduk.

[Ding* System lacks sufficient spells to fix all flaws on all warlock spells.

[Ding* System lacks sufficient spells to attempt modification of all warlock spells.

"Are there any spells that you can modify for humans to cast?" thought William

[Ding* Analyzing...

[Ding* System has found 9 spells which can be modified for human casting.

"So that means it is possible, I just need more books on warlock spells. I might as well record spells from other races as well." thought William

[Ding* Would host require system to take over motor functions to record books.

"No, not now. Let's see, out of those 10% about 7% of those spells will at most work only now while I'm at bronze on silver rank but would require lots of soul stones mid tear or above. The other 3% percent will work no matter how high I go as long as I have enough soul stones to make up for my lack of mana." thought William

"Out of those 3% only 1% has no limit on how many cultivation ranks above myself, are the individuals I cast them on as long as I have enough resources to cast them. That's 98 spells, not bad" thought William as a smirk appeared on his face.

"But the spell I'm most interested in, is definitely what motivated me to pick mind control as my first spell. A spell that all warlocks fear, originally I was thinking I could find a similar one but if system can modify it so that I can cast it. I'll be unstoppable, it will require an unimaginable amount of resources to cast. So, I'll have to come up with a way to get those resources." Thought William

[Ding* Host is referring to the spell known as [Obedience].

"Yes, "Obedience" a spell that can only be cast by a warlock of at least one star platinum. A spell that can only be cast once in a warlocks entire life time." thought William with a smirk.

[Ding* System cannot assist host in casting the mind control type spell known as [Obedience] as it conflicts with primary function, override is required.

"System don't worry about that, you said so yourself I'm pretty much immortal. I can't age past the age of 25, so even if the spell does consume life energy it won't have any affect on me." thought William

[Ding* System requires further research and testing regarding [Life Energy] to accept host's override.

"Fine, I won't be needing it for now anyways as I'm not even close to reaching Platinum rank yet. I'm going to go practice some spells on the local rodents of the forest, as there seem to be none in the tower." thought William

William went out into the forest and practiced all sorts of mind control spells on rodents for two hours until his mana was depleted.

"My cultivation is still too low, the mana I have runs out too quickly and I rather not use my soul stones." thought William

"From what I know the only way to recover mana, is either absorbing soul stones or sleeping and letting the body recover naturally. However, I don't require sleep I wonder if it'll recover without sleep."

[Ding* Although host recovers naturally from fatigue do to the IPRM, sleep is also useful to recover from psychological stress.

[Ding* System suggests host sleep in order to remove any psychological stress.

"I suppose things have been stressful for me, and I haven't slept in over three years now. Getting a good nights sleep always calmed down general Ja'aduk as well." thought William as he began to walk back towards the tower.

William returned to his room, layed on his bed and proceeded to sleep after three years of skipping it. He had a dream about his father, whom he hadn't thought about in over 3 years he's been on Xerxes.
