The next morning William woke up relaxed and restored. After washing his face and changing into a fresh pair of clothes he went down stairs looking for Moj Dak.

"Moj Dak, some of the books I've read mention something about magic stones for casting. Can you elaborate on this?" asked William once he found Moj Dak.

"Good morning, William." said Moj Dak with a smile.

"Right... Good morning, Moj Dak. Now about the stones..." replied William

"Nin Li told me what happened yesterday and how you used a high tear soul stone to cast a stronger spell than your magical cultivation allows." replied Moj Dak

"Yes, are you saying these stones will help me do the same?" replied William

"No not at all, but what they can do is cut down on your mana consumption every time you cast a spell. As you know you can only cast certain spells based on how much mana you possess, if you have about 1% of your mana left you won't be able to cast a spell that requires 10% of your mana." replied Moj Dak

"So they are basically the same as soul stones, why not just use soul stones then." asked William

"Soul stones are essentially a crystallized version of mana, magic stones are a crystallized version of the magic spells themselves" replied Moj Dak

"Can you elaborate further, aren't mana and magic the same." replied William

"Mana is what allows us to open our magic gate, as long as our magic gate is open we can cast spells. Even if you have a high tear soul stone or above, you will not be able to cast any spells without any mana. Naturally you can absorb the mana from the soul stone then cast the spell. However, magic stones already possess magic in them. Therefore, the strength required to pull spells from the magic gate is reduced. In fact, with a magic stone you can cast a spell without mana in you as long as you have a soul stone. That's basically how most magic items work." replied Moj Dak

"So magic stones help me deplete less mana when casting spells, interesting. How much do magic stones essentially cost?"

"They vary in price as some magic stones could be used multiple times, the one-time-use ones go for 100 coppers the last time I checked" replied Moj Dak

"100 coppers! That's cheap!" yelled William

"William don't listen! Master hasn't been out in ages and has no idea what things cost anymore!" yelled Nin Li as she came flying over.

"Well it should still be around the same, it hasn't been that long since I've been out!" replied Moj Dak

"The cheapest magic stones cost 10 silver" replied Nin Li

"10 silver! That's outrages!" yelled Moj Dak

"That actually sounds more believable" replied William

"It does?!" yelled Moj Dak

"You must've really not gone out in a while... Wait, is that why you gave me so little money to buy clothes that time" said William

"Little money? You mean... That time I gave you enough to buy ten pairs of nice clothing?" yelled Moj Dak

"Ten pairs!, I couldn't buy one with that. Unless I went to the old and used clothing shops!" replied William

"Master, you really need go out to the city some time" replied Nin Li

The three had a few laughs conversing for a little longer.

"William, by the way I'm surprised you chose mind control as you're first spell type. Not many choose that category of spells to begin with, and those that do certainly don't elect it to be their first spell." said Moj Dak

"I have certain spells in this category that need to be at their most powerful when I cast them." replied William

"Well there's nothing I can say about it now. Have you thought about what other spell types you want to cast?" asked Moj Dak

"Just three, I'm still undecided on the others." replied William

"Just remember that the first three spell types you cast are the most powerful. May I know what are the other three you decided on?" asked William

"The next category of spells I will cast is a light type." replied William

"Excellent choice, I'm surprised you didn't choose it to be you're first. Light type spells can be both offensive and defensive, what about the next one?" asked Moj Dak

"The third category of spells is actually a choice I made, not only because you seem to possess the most books on this type of spell. But also because both you and Nin Li use this type of spell." said William as he made eye contact with Nin Li and Moj Dak.

"Spells the fall under the category, puppeteer..." replied William.

"That... That's a good choice as well... puppets may not seem that powerful but they certainly can give anyone a run for their money" replied Moj Dak with tears in his eyes trying his best not to cry.

Nin Li smiled as she looked at William.

"The fourth category of spells I'll use is psychokinetic types." said William

"That's an interesting choice, although now that I think about it... Psychokinetic spells might be of great assistance for puppet masters. We use mana strings to give life to our puppets, but psychokinetic spells might help give them a boost of strength when fighting" replied Moj Dak.

"I hadn't considered that but thanks I'll do some further research and testing on your theory. I originally had another purpose for learning it but this only motivates my decision." replied William

"Good, are you going to cast them now?" asked Moj Dak

"I was planning cultivate but I suppose there's no harm in casting them now. I don't want to second guess myself further." replied William

William proceeded to casting light, puppeteer, and psychokinetic spells in that order. Three more tattoos appeared under the first tattoo, they were all small circles with small letters on the inside.

"There it's done, no going back now. I'll be in my room cultivating." replied William

William went up to his room and sat on his bed. Soon, he calmed his mind took out a low tier soul stone and began to cultivate.
