"There it is I can feel it, two star OPEN!" thought William as he broke through to two star bronze.
William didn't stop and continued to cultivate.
Another month quickly passed...
"Three star OPEN!" thought William as he broke through to three star bronze.
William attempted to continue cultivating using low tier soul stones, but was unable to continue absorbing mana from the soul stone.
"It would seem that's the end of the road for these guys, I'll ask Nin Li if she can head to the city and exchange these for magic stones." thought William as he got up and started walking towards the door.
William headed downstairs, and after searching for a while he was unable to find Nin Li or Moj Dak.
"That's odd, I guess they must've gone out." thought William
William walked out of the tower to look outside.
"Huh? What's this doing here..." said William as he noticed Nin Li's small golden baton on the floor.
William picked it up and looked at it momentarily.
"Why would Nin Li leave this here? I've never seen her part with it..." thought William.
"System do you know where Nin Li and Moj Dak went?" asked William
[Ding* Subject Nin Li and subject Moj Dak where last in the tower three days ago.
[Ding* Several noise cancellation spells were cast through out the tower by Moj Dak.
[Ding* System was unable to obtain further information afterwards.
"Noise cancellation spells... he must've not wanted me to know what he was doing if he did that." thought William.
"Moj Dak and Nin Li sometimes they act quite strangely, I know they have some big secret. System do you anything about that?" asked William.
[Ding* Subject Moj Dak and Nin Li are constantly casting noise cancellation spells.
[Ding* Most conversations between subject Moj Dak and subject Nin Li, when host is not physically present are missing from system's files.
"If they don't want me to know perhaps I should not meddle" thought William.
"Still it's odd that Nin Li left this outside, I hope nothing's happen to her." said William as he looked towards the forest.
[Ding* Should subject Nin Li be in danger, host is not capable of assisting her with current magical cultivation.
[Ding* Subject Nin Li is a six star gold rank, host is currently not capable of defeating an opponent more powerful than subject Nin Li.
"You're right, I need to cultivate and get stronger." said William as he headed back to the tower.
Before going in William looked towards the forest once more.
"Please be OK..." thought William and went into the tower.
William went to his room sat down on his bed, took out a mid tier soul stone and began to cultivate.
After spending five mid tier soul stones over the next month, William was finally able to break through to four star bronze. Another month later and eight soul stones less William broke through to five star bronze.
Meanwhile in the first floor. Moj Dak and Nin Li suddenly teleported in. Both their clothes were torn all over, their bodies were completely covered in bruises. Nin Li was in her human form and had a dislocated shoulder. They were both drenched in sweat and were breathing heavily.
Moj Dak quickly cast a silence spell around the two.
"Master, I'll have the puppets warm up the baths. We should quickly get changed, we don't want to risk William seeing our condition" said Nin Li as she pop her shoulder back in place only slightly flinching as she did it.
"Agreed" said Moj Dak.
Once the two were bathed and changed into fresh clothes they went back to doing their normal activities, Nin Li worked on her puppets and Moj Dak was reading some scrolls in in his office.
Another four months passed, William had finally reached the peak of bronze rank.
"I've finally cultivated to nine star bronze, I think I might still have enough mid tier soul stones to cultivate to one star silver." thought William
[Ding* System has calculated that host will require five more mid tear soul stones to break through to silver one star.
"Really?! Well I guess it can't be helped, I'll have to use the high tier soul stone I have. I wanted to save it exclusively for the silver ranks, hopefully it'll be enough to cultivate all the way to nine star silver." thought William
[Ding* System cannot calculate silver rank consumption of soul stone at this time.
"System are Moj Dak and Nin Li back?" Asked William.
[Ding* Subject Nin Li and subject Moj Dak returned four months ago.
"Should I go down and asked them what happened a few months ago...? No it's best to just let them be, I should continue cultivating." Thought William and continue'd to cultivate.
Three more months passed and William finally broke through to one star silver.
"Finally, one star silver. System how far can I go with this high tier soul stone?" Asked William
[Ding* System has detected that silver rank consumption rate is much higher than bronze.
[Ding* At current rate of consumption host will reach three star silver before high tier soul stone fully delpletes.
"Three star silver, that's not good. It's way less than I was expecting. I'll go see if Moj Dak has any more before using my last one." Thought William.
William went down stairs and quickly found Moj Dak.
"Good evening Moj Dak, I'm wondering if you have anymore high tier soul stones laying around." Asked William.
"High tier soul stones laying around... Do you think those things grow on trees?!" Yelled Moj Dak.
"No, I just assumed-" replied William but was interrupted.
"You think I can just walk in the yard and just pluck them right off!" Yelled Moj Dak.
"No, I only meant. Never mind, I'm sorry to have disturbed you." replied William and began to walk away.
"William wait! I'm sorry I'm a little stressed is all. Maybe Nin Li could give you some ideas where you could find some." replied Moj Dak apologetically.
"No worries Moj, I'll go find her" replied William with a smile as he walked away.
William found Nin Li soon after.
"Hey, Nin Li" said William.
"Young master, are you done cultivating. How far along are you on your cultivation?" Asked Nin Li.
William quickly revealed his cultivation and Nin Li was impressed.
"Nin Li I found this outside a few months ago, when you and Moj Dak were away" said William as he passed her golden baton over.
"Oh thank goodness, I was worried I lost it." replied Nin Li.
"Nin Li the other reason I came to you, is to ask if you know a way I can obtain some high tier soul stones?" asked William.
"Well do you still have the high tier soul stone Moj Dak gave you?" asked Nin Li
"Yes, why?" replied William
"Good, so you can still turn that into two then." replied Nin Li.
"Wait you're not gonna suggest-" replied William but was interrupted.
"Gambling is an easy way to multiply what you have." replied Nin Li with a smirk
