Chu Li glided along. Li Ruolan, moving beside him, was as fast as the wind as well. Her robe was flapping as the Thin Elder and the nine middle-aged men chased after them from behind.
The remaining men were taking care of the injured trio. Since their inner energy was depleted, they would be helpless if they were to be ambushed now.
“Are they trying to attack us again when they gather enough numbers?” Li Ruolan asked.
Chu Li nodded. “They haven’t given up yet.”
“Why don’t we retaliate now?” Li Ruolan frowned. “We’ll be at the disadvantage by the time they gathered.
Chu Li harrumphed. “That depends on whether they have the courage to. Let’s go!”
“Fine. I’ll follow your order.” Li Ruolan said.
She had absolute trust in Chu Li to the extent that she would not bother using her brain at all. She would follow what Chu Li had in mind.
Chu Li and Li Ruoland glided and they soon traveled across the canyon, reaching the other end of it.
Chu Li stopped out of the blue as he turned around and fist-saluted the Thin Elder. “It’s been a long journey. You can stop seeing me off now. We’ll bid our goodbyes here!”
“Zhao Dahe!” The Thin Elder harrumphed. “You can’t kill the disciples of Hai Cang Mountain whenever you please!”
Chu Li frowned. “What do you want then? Are you really going to fight me? I’ll kill all of them before that!”
“If you kill all of them, the Hai Cang Mountain will definitely avenge them!” The Thin Elder said coldly.
Chu Li said. “Why don’t we test it out! The reason I decided not to attack is that I don’t want to become the enemy of Hai Cang Mountain. Killing Zhao Haiyun is necessary. He must die, or the hundreds of people who died in the Li Dynasty would not be able to rest in peace… However, the rest of the disciples of Hai Cang Mountain have nothing to do with this. That’s the reason why I haven’t been retaliating. It is you people who’re trying to kill us!”
“Hmpf!” The Thin Elder scoffed.
He hesitated. Zhao Dahe seemed to be a person who was able to differentiate hate and justice. He seemed to be a good person by nature, an emotional person who would only kill if he had to.

“Compensate the victims,” Chu Li said calmly, “He founded the Sky-Crossing Camp and killed at least a hundred of innocent people. Some had their entire families killed, while some still have some relatives living in this realm. Hai Cang Mountain should compensate these people.”
“How much?” The Thin Elder harrumphed.
Chu Li said. “At least a thousand tael silvers.”
“Are you saying that you can find out who’s the victim?”
“Naturally!”
“Fine… If that’s the truth, it’s only natural to compensate them,” The Thin Elder said calmly, “The Hai Cang Mountain shall bear this responsibility. But, you too need to give us an explanation for entering the Qiu Dynasty to kill the Hai Cang Mountain’s disciple!”
“How should we repay you?” Chu Li scoffed.

Chu Li’s blade energy had increased tremendously. The blade energy which he could fuse something onto had increased drastically as well. The Thin Elder was no match for him, seeing as he was forced to a halt when he was attacked.
“Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!” Chu Li kept waving his arms as another four slices of blade energy were unleashed.
The Thin Elder waved his sword as if it was lightning. He placed it in front of him as he protected himself. His legs kept moving back relentlessly and sighed after taking four steps back. He was extremely gloomy.
Chu Li scoffed. “Still coming in for more?”
The Thin Elder felt rather hopeless. Zhao Dahe’s Light Blade was godlike. He was not able to get near Chu Li if he were to go against the Light Blades. Lil Guo and the rest were even less likely to attack, or they would be killed.
Chu Li said indifferently, “I’ll show no mercy if you were to follow me again!”
He glided away with Li Ruolan the instant he finished speaking.
The Thin Elder and the other nine middle-aged men stood motionlessly as they looked at Chu Li and Li Ruolan disappearing into the distance. One of them said anxiously, “Master’s Junior Liu, are we not going to chase after them?”
The Thin Elder tilted his head as he glared at them and said coldly. “Chase? Do you guys dare to chase after them?”
“We’ve nine of us. I don’t believe we can’t win against those two!” Lil Guo who spoke earlier added, “Master’s Junior Liu can just keep him occupied, and we’ll handle that girl. I refuse to believe that he’s able to do what he pleases once we’ve restrained that girl!”
“How naive!” The Thin Elder scoffed.
“Master’s Junior Liu,” Another middle-aged man voiced out, “Is Zhao Dahe really that amazing?”
“Even someone like me isn’t a match for him. What do you think?” The Thin Elder scoffed.
“Master’s Junior Liu, the difference between the two of you can’t be that far, right?”
“We’re heaven and earth apart!”
“He’s still so young. He mustn’t have trained for a very long time!”
“His Light Blade is extremely advanced. Once he’s decided to kill, I may be able to protect myself, but all of you will be resting here!” The Thin Elder responded, “Send a message to Elder Sun and the rest by the river to retreat immediately!”
“Master’s Junior Liu, why don’t we group up with Master’s Junior Sun and attack together?” Lil Guo suggested.
The Thin Elder checked him out as the former looked up and down.
Lil Guo became so anxious that he started touching his own face.

“Master’s Junior Liu, is this Zhao Dahe guy really that dangerous?”

They turned around as they headed back towards the canyon. They climbed up the Pinnacle of Precipice once they reached the canyon and released the signal. A blinding longsword appeared in the middle of the sky out of the blue. It resembled a flash of lightning that froze in the sky.

Li Ruolan looked back as well. “Are they sending a signal to the people at the front?”
Chu Li smiled. “Hai Cang Mountain seems to know their place. That must be the signal for a retreat!”
“You’re combining threats with inducements and it looks like you’ve managed to persuade them. You can now retreat without dyeing your sword red with blood.” Li Ruolan laughed.
She felt that the words Chu Li had been saying were worthless, and they were just a bunch of nonsense. In fact, it would be just showing that he was the weaker one. However, she did not expect it to have such an effect. That Elder had stopped his pursuit. He seemed to have given up on chasing after them.
