"Haha." Shen Tianyu laughed in Rong Jian's ear. "Isn't this a competition? Just this little wound would cause such a fuss. These people are really sheltered."

"They are the best talents of their kingdom, of course they would be worried." Rong Jian replied.

Ling Lei finally got his halberd out of Luo Yenmu's body and the physicians quickly started treatment right there. They fed him some blood clotting pills to stop the bleeding and took off his robe to apply medicine and bandage him. To Shen Tianyu, the wound didn't look too serious, Luo Yenmu wasn't actually cut in half, just that there was a deep cut going from his shoulder and stopping just short of his pelvis. Ling Lei was sitting on the ground, breathing heavily, his bloodied halberd forgotten on the side, as the few spare physicians checked on his condition.

The bodyguards of the woman caught up to her and tried to persuade her. She turned back and gave a few commands and they stopped trying to detain her though. The guards to the stage finally let her through after seeing this and hearing her words. She raced onto the stage, her robes fluttering behind her, her bodyguards not far behind.

Shen Tianyu walked in front of Rong Jian and shooed him off his seat. "I've been standing for so long but you still haven't offered me a seat. Hmph."

"I was thinking to just let Tian'er sit on my lap, the most supreme seating there is." He said as he patted his lap without getting up.

Shen Tianyu huffed. "How could your lap be more comfortable than the cushioned seats? Let me sit or I'll go back to my seat and not talk to you anymore."

Rong Jian, not wanting her to leave, could only give up and stood to give his seat to her. She threw her sleeves and sat down in a flourish, both still looking around them as if watching an entertaining show.

The girl who had shouted to Ling Lei earlier ran up and hugged him from behind. "You're trembling." They heard her say, in a voice choking with sobs. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." They heard her as she kept apologizing to him. Ling Lei just sat there in shock and fear, not moving an inch.

The Emperors had both gotten reports about the situation by now and had somewhat calmed down, knowing the injury wasn't life-threatening. They still looked worried as they looked out at the stage. The Imperial couple from Xi Qi were trying to reassure each other, while the one from Jing Qie was just looking silently, not speaking to each other.

"Seems Xi Qi is a good place, even if it was all an act, at least the Imperial couple hid it well. The ones of Jing Qie, however... their relationship is probably beyond repair. What a pity, I sort of want to see for myself that kind of couple." Shen Tianyu mused.

"You will, Tian'er." Rong Jian replied simply.

"Oh?" Shen Tianyu raised her eyebrow as she looked at him from below. "Does that mean what I think it means?"

"Don't tease, Tian'er. I know you already know." Rong Jian gave an exasperated sigh.

"Oh? When did you figure it out?" The guards surrounding the stadium had entered and started quelling the crows already. The stadium started to finally quiet down. Those that had fainted had been carried out already and put somewhere else to be treated by some junior physicians or apprentices.

"Does Wifey really think me to have such low intelligence? You already knew from the beginning didn't you? I had used my name thinking it was fine since it was far from home and I wasn't even the first son so no one would recognize me. But gleaning your power in the Lavender Palace since I've started to travel with you, of course you would know me huh." Rong Jian stated matter of factly.

Luo Yenmu had been given first aid but was still carried off stage with a stretcher just to be safe. Ling Lei was still being hugged by his sweetheart, his halberd untouched. He finally came back to his senses enough to ask a nearby physician in a shaky voice. "How-how is he?"

"This Young Master needn't worry, the wound looks like a big deal because of the blood loss but it's nothing we can't deal with." the physician tried to reassure him. The Crown Prince was pestering the physicians to take utmost care of his friend as he walked beside the stretcher being carried out.

"Good, that's good then." Ling Lei kept repeating it like a mantra.

"I'm sorry A-Lei, this is all because of me." The girl hugging him finally choked out. He came to the realization he was being hugged by thin, warm arms and that "something" soft, two "somethings" to be precise, were pressing against his back. He blushed as he stammered a reply. "It-I- no, Your not at fault, it was because I couldn't hold back."

While those two were publicly flirting on stage, the Master of Ceremonies hurriedly got back into place and announced the result of the match, trying to get everyone's mind off the bloody spectacle. "The winner of this match is Xi Qi's Ling Lei!"

Hearing that, the girl came to her senses and realized she was making a fool of herself in public, and on a stage no less. The well-bred lady couldn't handle it and hurriedly pulled her arms back, her face red as a beet. Ling Lei blushed harder, his face looking like it could drip blood if you squeezed it a little.

"Aw, the spectacle is over. I better get back to my seat before I get in trouble then." Shen Tianyu got up, patting her clothes.

As she was walking to her seat, she leaned into Wen Ya who had shakily started to look up from her hands, face pale as paper. "Afraid of just this? Perhaps, I should retract my offer, hm?" She whispered in her ear and walked away without bothering to witness the other's reaction.
