"Anyways, what are you here for, senior?" Shen Tianyu put down her cup and interrupted them, knowing that they'll be going at it for a while if they didn't.

"Ah, Wangfei. I got what you wanted ready." Se Boli turned to her with a respectful attitude and waked over to the box that he brought with him. He held it with delicate hands and walked up to her before bowing and presenting it to her with a bent back.

Shen Tianyu got up from her chair that hasn't even been warmed yet and carefully took hold of the box. Se Boli then retreated backwards before straightening his back.

"Since the item has been safely delivered into the client's hands, this old one will return to his workshop." He said, his stance still respectful.

Shen Tianyu smiled at him, being careful with the box in her hand. "Senior can stay for some tea or even dinner if you'd like. After all, you're the Royal Glass Maker, having you leave so soon after arriving doesn't seem quite appropriate."

"No, no. This one couldn't possibly impose. Besides, I still have some items to make and refine."

"Then this consort thanks senior for taking time out of your busy schedule to hand this to me." She carefully bowed to him at a casual angle.

Se Boli soon left with Rong Jian not having moved or said anything since their little argument ended. Shen Tianyu turned to him with an excited gleam in her eyes, still holding the box in her hands. "Come with me back to the room."

"Does Tian'er want to try out the lamp?" Rong Jian asked as he fell into step behind her.

"Of course. I've been looking forward to this little delivery."

As soon as they got back to the room, they shooed all the servants away again. Rong Jian put cloth on the windows and doors as Shen Tianyu attentively put the wooden box on the table in front of her chaise in the middle of the outer room. Rong Jian let enough light from the nearest window come in so they wouldn't be fumbling in complete darkness. She slid the door of the box up to revel a heavily nestled inside. The door of the box as well as the inside were lined with silk. Curious, she reached a hand to touch the silk lining and discovered that it was filled with cotton. This was perhaps the best protective layer a package could have in this kind of time period. Done feeling the lining, she cautiously slid the door all the way up, her fiancee standing silently at her side. When the contents were revealed, they saw a beautiful lamp, just like the one they saw in the workshop, lined in gold and silver. Two rubies were put in place as the fenghuang's eyes and it's seven tails were each painted in different colors. The top of the lamp was detachable so that one could put a candle inside once night arrives. After staring in awe for a bit, the recipient finally snapped out of it.

"Hurry, hurry. Get some candle or light source." She hurried as she gingerly took the lamp out of it's box and put it on the table right next to the vessel. Removing the top of the lamp, she looked into the lamp. The candle holder was in a special shape. It could hold a candle but also a night pearl if the owner chooses to use the other instead. A night pearl was definitely less dirty and cumbersome as it naturally released light.

Rong Jian made a noise in answer and went to the other side of the room to pick up the candles the servants use and brought an unused one back to the excited girl. She swiped it from his outstretched hand and gently placed it inside the candle holder in the lamp. She then used a matchstick to light up the wick before placing the top of the lamp back on. They both stared in amazement at the flickering colors of both the lamp and the lights that fell all over the room. Depending on where the light was coming from, the tails the eyes or the unpainted glass, the colors and concentration of light was different. It was almost like a light show but with natural light that didn't hurt your eyes with it's glare.

...

"Master, Miss. It's time for dinner..." A knock sounded followed by a small voice. The couple who had been staring at the lights made by the lamp all afternoon finally snapped out of it enough to realize they had been admiring the lights of a lamp for a whole afternoon. Shen Tianyu coughed into her fist and Rong Jian scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. She then removed the top of the lamp and blew out the candle, encompassing her hand in spiritual power to remove the candle in the process. Thankfully, the wax hadn't reached the candle holder yet so it was still pristine as when she got it.

"I'll be using a night pearl tonight then. It's also a good opportunity to see the difference." She commented as she put the lid back on. For extra assurance, she put the lamp back into it's silk and cotton lined box before closing it. "Alright, we'll be eating dinner in your Master's dinning room!" She shouted to the maid that was still waiting at the door. She answered back and hurried away to inform the other maids and eunuchs.

Shen Tianyu helped her fiancee take down the cloth covering the windows and doors to see that the sky has already turned into the color of a sea of flames. In the middle of it, Shen Tianyu's stomach made a loud rumble, causing the Zhu Wangye to freeze in place for a moment. He slowly turned around to the source of the sound to find a lightly blushing Zhu Wangfei.

"Eheheh. I seem to be quite hungry." She laughed at her to-be husband. "Let's finish this quickly so we can go eat."

He nodded and went back to work. "...Say... Can I come tonight to look at the lamp?" He hesitantly asked when they were done with their respective portions of the room.

"Sure." Shen Tianyu easily answered.

"Really?" He sounded somewhat shocked.

"What do you mean?" She questioned as she turned to him with the bundles of cloth that had been used as makeshift blinds.

"Well, this morning..."

"Oh. I'm not angry about it anymore. I'm not that petty, don't worry. Besides, we got that resolved didn't we? I don't like going to bed angry or upset so I try to resolve any issues before that, if I can." She explained as she went to put the things in her arms on another table in the outer room, away from the chaise. She also had tables and chairs that can be used as a dining space but she reckons she''ll probably never have to use it.
