She closed her hands around the scroll and the light slowly faded away. She untied the scroll and rolled it put in front of her. Before she could take a good look at the scroll, her mind was flooded with information. A female voice like a system announcement in a game echoed in her ears along with the influx of information.
"Welcome to the Eternal Sea of Raging Flames, the place most representative of Hell in the world of the living. Herein lies three different powerful flames who will only be contracted to the Master this space chooses. The first flame will be unlocked when the Master has met the requirements. Subsequent flames will be contracted to you when you advance every two stage. Please bear in mind that these flames are powerful and sought after so be careful when and where to use them. Hopefully the Master will have a safe journey through this life." The voice quickly faded away.
'So it's aware that this place looks like Hell? Anyways what was that? There wasn't a system announcement when I unlocked the Wind Shrine. Does the space upgrade as I unlock more of the space or as I advance? Well, I'll probably not get any answer to these questions right now. Maybe it'll tell me itself when the time comes.' Shen Tianyu carefreely threw her important questions aside.
She looked down at the unfurled scroll in her hands. On it was the same things as the scroll she found at the Wind Shrine. The fire symbol, though, was surrounded by a flame alongside the Wind Shrine whose character was surrounded by a shrine. She reached her hand out to touch the flame symbol as she did with Wind symbol before. The same information that had flooded her head a moment ago rushed into her. She frowned. 'Was this part of the upgrade? I was only able to find out about the Wind Shrine and the rest of my space by touching the symbol on the scroll, but now the information came to me as soon as I opened the scroll.'
Her expression regained it's calm demeanor as she tied up the scroll again. She looked around for a place to put it, but not seeing any, she put it in her sleeve. She thought it would be better to keep it at the Wind Shrine so it wouldn't accidentally get burnt here. It's important to her after all.
She walked around the Flame Sea, looking at all the flames. After walking through the entire Flame Sea, she couldn't find the special flames that the system announcement said were sealed here. The green fire that could burn anything physical to dust, which she has already named as Greek Fire; the blue flame that could burn and damage the soul, named Soul Flame; and the purple flame named the Rebirth Flame were all descriptions she got from the flood of information. But after walking around the entire Flame Sea, she still couldn't find them. Even if the other two were sealed, she had unlocked the Greek Fire, how come she didn't see it? She frowned and turned around to leave. She had plenty of time to find it since she wasn't intending on causing major trouble anytime soon.
As she was about to leave, she felt something heat up in her sleeve. Worried, she took whatever it was out, which, surprisingly, didn't burn her. It was the scroll she had put away earlier. She unfurled it. On the scroll appeared some words that were not previously there.
"Scrolls may not be removed from their designated dimensions." It read.
Shen Tianyu shrugged and tied the scroll up and put it on the ground. Since it gave such a warning then it was meant to stay here. In that case, it most likely won;t be damaged by the flames. As she straightened her back and looked forward, she almost jumped out of her skin.
A green flame was floating one Chi(1) in front of her like a will-o-wisp(2). She regained her calm composure after her initial startle but reprimanded it in her mind. 'What was that?! You are not the Soul Flame, why did you appear like a ghost?! How long has it been here?'
She knew it was the Greek Fire she had just unlocked just looking at it, it was green just like in the description. Despite her initial fright, she reached a hand out to the green flame. As she touched it, it condensed into a green ball of light the size of decorative pearl and flew inside her spirit body.
Now that she had gotten all that she came for, she satisfyingly left the Flame Sea and returned back into her body. By now her spiritual power had stabilized and she slowly opened her eyes. In front of her was the face of a man and a white wolf. She tilted her head to the side. "What's wrong? Why are you staring at me, weren't you cultivating?"
"I was just worried about you so I decided to wait for you to open your eyes." Rong Jian replied. Though he had confidence in his wife's abilities, as a man, he was still worried about her.
[He was pacing back and forth. With his distraction, I couldn't concentrate so I decided to wait too.] Xue Lang told her.
"By the way, did you sense anything just now?" She asked Xue Lang through soul communication. Since they were soul contracted, would her being in her space attract attention from him? Like, her soul felt diminished in presence or he could hear her thoughts when she was in there. Even if they were contracted now, they had fought not too long ago. Besides, the less people knew about her space, the better.
[Sense what?] The Snow Wolf asked. He hadn't sensed anything weird at all.
Shen Tianyu sunk into her thoughts. 'Was it because the space was a part of her, attached to her soul, but also not a part of her soul so that's why though the bond was still there, the snow wolf couldn't hear her?'
