"Alright then. We'll just go with that. If they ask more questions, you'll answer them." Sung Ming internally sighed. 'This Master of ours... what is she up to?'
Shen Tianyu got up, stretching. "Ah, that damn bastard woke me up so early in the morning! Show me to my room, I'm going to sleep until tonight. Might as well adjust to the Night Life."
Though not knowing what this 'Night Life' that his Master talked about, Sing Ming could understand it due to the context. He stood up and walked in front of Shen Tianyu and led her to a big room on the third floor. On the way, guards and maids greeted Manager Sung, while they tried to subtly glance at Shen Tianyu, this woman who could run Sir Mu around like a servant, informing everyone she was inviting everyone for a meal tonight. Unfortunately for those curious workers, she just smiled and returned their greeting, neither of them making any move to explain. The disappointed servants left after idling around and the two continued on. Soon, they arrived in front of the Master room, the Birds of Paradise room. There are also guest rooms on the floor for people considered important by her, including other Managers. Sung Ming's bedroom was also on this floor, but was smaller than the bedroom they were standing in front of now. Sung Ming pushed open the green wooden door with birds of paradise flowers painted on it and stood to the side, inviting her in. Shen Tianyu strode in and couldn't help but sigh in awe.
The lowest ledge of the large rectangular framed window, that nearly covered the entire wall, on the opposite side of the room was up to right below her breasts. Below the right side of the ledge was a chaise padded with cotton-stuffed linen. Further in, on her right, was a big framed bed with a big circular opening, about 7 feet in diameter, facing the center of the room. The frame of the opening was carved with Chinese dragons on each top corner, a flower emblem between them, and more flowers on the bottom. Bright red curtains were tied with golden tassels to each side of the frame to reveal a luxurious king-sized bed with red bedding and a folded turquoise blanket embroidered with gold and orange scenery. The other sides of the framed wooden bed were just plain lacquered black walls. Across from the bed, on the other side of the room, was a big lacquered wooden table with a lamp on the corner closest to the window. In front of the table was a lacquered black chair with carvings on the back. On the wall above the table was a painting of a plum blossom branch with a poem on the bottom left. In the middle of the room was a low table with a sofa chair on the right side and chairs opposite, the same set up as the conference room. In front of the door, on the left side was a big space, about as big as the bed which took up a quarter of the room, was separated by two folding screens. On the right side, next to the bed, was a small bookcase. Due to the rarity of books, even Lavender Palace who the emperor deferred to couldn't gather very many books, though the collection right here would already make even the prime minister drool. In addition, most books available had to do with Confucian teachings, the contents of the Imperial Examination, and were of little interest to Shen Tianyu. ('Hey. Author, don't bring your modern world analysis into this, printing hasn't been created, of course books would be rare and hard to get.' Shhhh.) Next to the bookcase, was a laminated dark red closet as big as she was.
"Sigh. This room is beautiful... I love it." Shen Tianyu's face blossomed into a beautiful, bright smile.
"I am glad Master likes it." Sung Ming, who was stunned by her smile, recovered his wits quickly.
Shen Tianyu stretched again and turned towards Sung Ming. "Okay then. I'm going to take a nap right now. Send someone to wake me up when the sisters wake up."
"Understood, Master." Sung Ming responded and retreated from the room. Shen Tianyu opened the closet and took out a plain, light green sleeping robe. Holding the robe, she walked towards the corner separated by the folding screens and changed into it. Then, she put her previous robe into the closet and laid down on the bed and fell asleep.
