When an organization is first founded and starts to gain power, there is bound to be spies, traitors and the like. Shen Tianyu was not stupid, of course she knew that would happen. In addition, there weren't many experts that didn't pursue fame and wealth in the first place, so there was not enough manpower in Yaodu to man even the headquarters of her stores. Only a year or two after her businesses were established, she swept through them again with a merciless purge. The organizations that had sent spies were punished by Yaodu, the individuals that wanted to raise hell or seize power were rounded up and resulted in another business opening up. As for the heavy offenders... Even now, the members of Lotus Pavilion and Lavender Palace shuddered just at the thought of what happened to those people. Though the Master had not sent down any orders to people outside of the top brass, and was pretty much hands-off, the other members would never dare to have disobedient thoughts.

Back to the Auction Hall, the young man was positively fuming. He wanted the poison for his organization, but also, he didn't want to let the other person win. Even if he had an inkling that the other had a very special status as the auctioneer has not uttered one word about suspicions of malicious bidding on the part of the other party, such a grudge was not easily forgotten especially if the day had not even passed yet. Plus... the boy man was young and a young master at that. His pride compared with the recklessness of youth made for a good combination, in a bad way. Grudges would be easily made and held on to for longer.

'70 million, than 70 million it is.' He thought. "80 million." He, too, had started to lose his enthusiasm. No organization has unlimited funds, he would have to give up at some point. 'But so would she.' Since she said she "thought she didn't bring much money", she shouldn't have too much on her. At the very least, it wouldn't exceed the assets he bought with him.

The other man in the room just shook his head with a helpless look. He was dressed in less extravagant-looking clothes than the youth but that didn't impede or diminish his aura of nobility in any way. He looked like a "silent noble" type. He had accompanied the young master out for some fun at the auction. Since that was the case, he didn't need to stop him too soon and ruin his funds. And with the Master's doting, as long as the bid din't exceed the money they had, he would give it to the Young Master.

"80 million 500,000." Shen Tianyu's voice sounded after a short silence. Her bidding was also no longer as excessive. 'Since he's bidding for it, he can buy it, it'll be a profit for me anyways. But, he's starting to lose steam...'

"81 million." He said in an even tone. 'Still not done yet? How many is "not a lot" in your mind?!'

'He's almost done.' Shen Tianyu sighed. 'Consider this compensation for the last time, I won't push you to the edge this time.' She looked at the young master's window with a twinkle in her eyes. "I concede."

As soon as he heard that, the auctioneer started counting down. "81 million going once! 81 million going twice!"

The young master clenched his fists, afraid that someone would jump in at the last minute again.

"81 million going thrice! Sold! To the young master on the fourth floor! Please pay for your items at the 'Cashier'." This was a new concept Shen Tianyu brought over. Of course, the cashier here was just someone that handled taking the money and pacing the items over. If the items were too big, the guests would be led to a room where it was placed, alone so as so avoid anyone trying to steal someone else's item.

The auctioneer turned to the rest of the audience. "This concludes Lotus Pavilion's Specialty auction for this year! For those that didn't manage to win an item, we wish you better luck in the regular auctions or next year's specialty auction. We wish everyone returns for the next year's specialty auction." The auctioneer bowed before his straightened up.

The guests were led out by the female staff as the male staff guarded the corridors. After all, who could bare to cause trouble in the presence of a beautiful lady, was the concept behind this arrangement. And it had worked so far, so they weren't thinking of changing it anytime soon. The guests that won a bid on something was led away by higher ranking maids wearing a lotus badge to the cashier, which was a regular room, just used as a cash register whenever there was an auction. The auctioneer waited for all the guests to leave before he himself went backstage.

...

A maid had come into Shen Tianyu's room when the auction was over and respectfully asked her if she was leaving. The maid didn't dare to lift her head even though, when she entered the room, she had saw the peerless masked man whom Shen Tianyu was still sitting on.

"No, I'm going to the Manager's Office. You can continue your work." Shen Tianyu replied. The maid answered and backed out of the room, head still bowed. She didn't need to worry about this guest being untoward, because first of all, she had a man already. Second, she was the Master's friend, if she had any big flaws, the Master would not treat her so well to give an unending Fifth Tier badge to her.

Shen Tianyu smiled and got off of Rong Jian's lap. She turned to face him with a smile. "Are you okay? Are your legs numb? I'm sure I was heavy."

Rong Jian also got up with a smile, shaking his head. "Not at all, Tian'er was as light as a feather." At this, he had a longing look in his eyes. "I wished we could have stayed like that a little longer. Tian'er smells good and the curves-"

"Ooookkkaaayyy. Let's go then." Shen Tianyu interrupted and turned to go. Rong Jian chuckled to himself and followed behind her.
