Erza fireballs kept coming non-stop and the amount was increasing. The power behind those fireballs were also increased. Soon, Veronica was starting to run out of stamina and she had received numerous injuries all over her body. Her battle outfits were mostly burned away and people could see the white skin beneath. Even though she was still a 12 years old girl, she was very embarrassed exposing most of her body.
"I admit defeat!" Veronica finally admitted her defeat. The fight then came to a close. Erza looked at departed Veronica with a sneer. Without her realizing it, she had changed. She intentionally went to embarrass Veronica. If she just wanted to simply defeat Veronica, there were many other ways to do it.
Third Lady and Elsa were amongst the few people who realized Erza change. They were planning to talk with Erza later on to understand what was going on.
The second fight went underway, then the third fight, next was the fourth fight. The winners were all expected students. They were amongst the favourites.
Finally it was Qi Long turn to fight. On the fifth fight, Qi Long was up against a boy named Vincent Ward. Vincent was a rogue, just like Linda, a mix between warrior and thief.
Both contestants started the fight by dashing toward one another. Qi Long was holding a long spear, while Vincent was using dual daggers. Both daggers clashed with the long spear.
Vincent launched an attack from close range. Subsequently, Qi Long turned his spear around to parry the incoming attack. Vincent followed it with an attack from another dagger. Qi Long moved his spear around very quickly to parry the attack while dashing backward. The fight continued on.
Both fighters fought in a close range. Weapons clashed numerous times. As a rogue, Vincent speed was very quick. On the other hand, Qi Long was also moving very fast, especially after he buffed himself with 'Speed Up'.
Slowly but surely Vincent was on the losing side because of the strength behind Qi Long attacks. As a warrior with a power buff, Qi Long strength was tyrannical amongst his peers. However, it was still not enough to defeat Vincent. Vincent was using 'Smoke Screen' and 'Camouflage' to avoid some of Qi Long pursues.
'Pagoda Blessing!' Qi Long casted another buff on himself. His focus, perception, and stamina were improved.
'Pagoda Restriction!' Even though Seven Colour Pagoda clan was known for their supports, it did not mean that they did not have any attacking spell.
There was suddenly an illusionary pagoda floating above the ground. It radiated a suppressing aura all over the place. The pagoda had seven floors, each had different colours. Hanging above the pagoda, there were three moons in similar sizes shining magnificently.
Soon, Vincent found himself much harder to move around. Even breathing was also suppressed. He tried to fight back but the pressure was getting heavier. In the end, Vincent had to admit his defeat.
Except those from Seven Colour Pagoda clan, everyone was very surprised with Qi Long performance. It was very rare to see 'Pagoda Restriction' used by younger generation. Once again, it proved how high Qi Long talent was.
The sixth match went on, then the seventh. After a while, it was finally Linda turn to fight. She was up against Meghan in the eight match.

In the end, the judge was forced to interfere with the fight since Meghan was bleeding heavily from the wound on her shoulder. As for Linda, she was frozen into an ice sculpture and the judge also needed to save her.
Even though it seemed like a tie, the match still needed a winner to fight in the next round. People were discussing who would be chosen as the winner. No one knew why but eventually Meghan was chosen as the winner.

However, against a mage, defensive warrior was at disadvantages. Most of them were slow so they would allow mages to complete their spells. Their damage outputs were also lower than other kinds of warriors, hence they would take a long time to break mages barriers.

The eleventh and the twelfth match went on as expected. On the thirteenth match, it was Paul turn and he was actually matched against Lisa. Lisa sighed and walked up to the stage. Lisa was silently cursing her bad luck. However, she would still give her best.
"Unlucky girl, she was actually matched with the young boy from Glacier family." Sir Adam gave his opinion. Madam Olivia did not reply him and just bitterly smiled at her granddaughter luck.
