“An’an, are you done buying your dance costume?” Li Junxun ran out from the beverage shop opposite the store they were in. He passed the milk tea to An’an, “I’ve bought you a cup of milk tea.”
An’an took it from him and came up on her tiptoes, whispering in Li Junxun’s ear. “Li Junxun, I’m sorry. I don’t have any feelings for you, I was merely using you earlier on.”
Li Junxun was stunned after hearing the truth but he quickly responded with a bright smile. “An’an, I know.”
He was aware of everything, when An’an mentioned that he was her boyfriend, of course he knew that she was lying.
“Why did you put up an act with me though, is it because of… Master Yan?” Li Junxun asked softly.
An’an fluttered her luscious lashes and didn’t reply.
Li Junxun lifted his eyes, spotting that Li Junxun was standing in the store and he was looking in their direction, studying their every move.
Li Junxun bent down, moving closer to An’an’s ethereal face and planted a light kiss on her satiny hair. “Since we’re already putting up an act, we should complete it. Master Yan is watching us right now.”
As Li Junxun got closer to her, An’an could smell an unfamiliar boyish scent. It didn’t smell bad and was rather pleasant, but An’an’s body quickly stiffened. Her body was rejecting the advances of other men around her.
She stood still, feeling a toxic and dangerous stare coming from behind, almost piercing into her.
She didn’t even turn around to realize that it was Lu Yan, he was staring at her.
Lu Yan witnessed the entire scene and he was seething in rage. He wanted to punch someone and just ruin them to vent his frustrations.
He could see An’an and Li Junxun standing closely together from where he stood. The good looking boy had planted a kiss on her cheek. They were of similar age and were suitable for each other, they were both in their prime.
This was what he had hoped for, for her to take that step out and forget about him. For her to start afresh.
He hoped for her to meet the right one, a man who would love her and dote on her. A man who would treat her as his priority.
But why was his heart wrenching in pain?
A girl he had spent a long time raising was going to be taken away by someone else.
It was as though someone had snatched his heart away, his chest felt empty and at the same time, was burning and throbbing in pain.
Li Junxun had his arms around An’an’s waist and he walked over. “Master Yan, we’ll take our leave first. I’ll take An’an home.”
Lu Yan pursed his lips, glancing at An’an.
But An’an didn’t reciprocate, she didn’t look at him and her eyes were fixed on Li Junxun. “Let’s go.”

Li Junxun retracted his arms awkwardly, revealing a wry smile. “An’an, let me take you home.”
An’an shook her head, she didn’t continue smiling and transformed into her usual self, just like an ice princess. “There’s no need for you to do that, I’ll walk home by myself. Li Junxun, thank you for today.”
An’an then turned around and left. When she passed by a trash can, she threw the shopping bag containing the costume into it.
She wasn’t going to let other men see her in that skimpy costume. She was merely agitating him earlier on.
She was leading a good life ever since her return to the Gu family.

But she figured out that she was already all grown up. She should be able to bear with the pain, she forced herself to smile while greeting him, calling him ‘Daddy’ as though nothing in the past had mattered.
Li Junxun watched as the girl slowly disappeared before him. She seemed desolate, this girl was cold and even the insides of her heart was ice-cold. No one would be able to walk into her heart.

It was nighttime and a Maybach parked in front of a six star hotel. Lu Yan handed a room key card to Flora, who was seated on the passenger’s seat. “Flora, I’ve arranged a presidential suite for you. Have an early rest tonight.”
“Master Yan, aren’t you going to accompany me tonight?” Flora rapidly held his muscular arm and she couldn’t help but want to just throw herself in his arms, not leaving his embrace.
Lu Yan stretched open his arm and caressed her head, Though he sounded like he was gentle and coaxing her, he was in fact just hoping to cajole her into leaving him alone. “Be good, sleep by yourself tonight. I have something on tonight.”
“Master Yan, what’s more important than us having a good time together? Are you thinking of climbing into another’s woman’s bed tonight?” Flora questioned Lu Yan while simpering.
Lu Yan’s arm was grabbed by her and he didn’t seem to mind it. He stretched over, finding a pack of cigarettes and took one out. He then held it between his lips and lit it up with a lighter.
He continued smoking the cigarette with one hand and looked at Flora, exhaling the smoke on her charming face. “I have a jam-packed schedule and I can’t even find some time to rest. I’ve got to accompany someone else tonight, be good, I’ll come over two days later to… f*ck you.”
He laughed out loud while saying that. He was using such explicit language without giving a damn, perfectly demonstrating the attitude of a bad boy.
Flora’s body went soft, she almost liquefied. She was successfully seduced by him, to the point that she was bewitched. She lifted her head and tried to kiss him on the lips.
But Lu Yan turned his head around, avoiding her kiss. He placed his finger on her forehead, with the same head he used to hold the cigarette and managed to push her away. “Don’t you understand what I’m saying? Are you asking to be f*cked?”

Flora hugged his arm again. “How would you even get stood up by my Daddy for no reason? He didn’t appear because the Interpol currently have their eyes on him. They’ve been after him for a few decades already and if not for my father’s mysterious whereabouts, he would have been arrested long ago.
“Though you’ve already taken over all the piers in the Capital and monopolized the trade, my Daddy isn’t actually that fond of you. He wasn’t interested in working with you initially, but I begged him multiple times because I’m fond of you. It was only because of me that my Daddy decided to consider working with you.
“You should be patient, my Daddy promised that he’ll arrive in two weeks. When my Daddy arrives, it’ll be your time to shine.”
