I sit right at my brother's right, he's the master of the household so he'll sit at my father's old position. There are three black folders laid on the table with Parker's Pen. What are these for?
"Help yourself, you'll need to eat a lot since it's a day off--"
"A day OFF!!!" My tone rose up as I am beyond surprised with his sudden announcement. Damn, and here I thought I'll be working my brain again till I drop dead.
He smirk evilly, my eyebrows are pulled in a tight knit. What is he planning to do now?
"I wanna take you somewhere" he get back to eating like the bomb he dropped meant nothing.
"Where would that be?" I asked
He sighed "a special place where mom and dad used to bring us when we were younger" his expression became unreadable, but it held pain and longing. Does he miss mom and dad like I do?
"Oh and before I forgot, you need to check these papers and get them signed." His gaze fall on the three black folders that's seemingly important and expensive. The thought of knowing the unknown make me nervous.
"What're these?"
He rolled his eyes.
"Folders with papers"
I give him a deathly stare "I'm serious, what are these papers for?" My tone change into a harsh one. He chuckled and flick my forehead.
"Who says I'm joking, besides you have eyes. You'll need to read these papers and use that little brain of yours to understand what's written word by word and period to period. I want you to learn the art of handling things on your own."
I shifted my gaze on the papers in front of me, should I check this now? Or should I check it right after the trip that my brother was babbling.
"You can sign them after the trip. So put these in your safety vault, I don't want these papers to be mishandled. These are too important for your future and everyone else's. Guard it with your life as much as possible." He smiled, but deep down I can see through him, and he's swallowing back the pain. But pain of what?
