The night is dark.

A perfect time for night creatures to roam around the vicinity and take pleasure of inflicting havoc to innocent people.

Or the perfect hour to end someone's life.

With sweating palms I make continuous turns. Running for my life. I haven't seen their long time plot against me. I haven't seen the misdeeds and malicious intents they repeatedly gave me. I haven't seen my death ahead of me and I intend not to.

I was naive and innocent. Their betrayal carved a deep wound in my heart, and time won't heal it like how revenge would.

I was too naive that I lost count of my own loss. That I lost count of how many times I let things slip. And of how many times I had let them control my life.

I was blinded indeed.

Blinded by the love and affection that ceased to exist. The world is cruel, but the people I loved the most made lies to trap me in a living hell without me noticing at all. Sickeningly sweet words that showers my graces. Empty kisses that warms my heart. Synthetic care for a good reputation. And an artificial facade, showing immeasurable feat of life's goodness in their blood-tainted hands.

Truly award winning I might add.

But injustice never spared innocence.

I learned things the hard way, and if I could escape from death, I'll make a retribution for them to pay thrice the exact price. Things will be hard, but to try my best will be the greatest decision I could ever have.

---

A gang tails closely behind me. They appeared from the darkest corner of the company's almost empty parking lot. They have tried blocking me before I could get to my car. Two of those guys held guns and the other three bring bats. They were ordered to show me heaven and hell with consciousness. They want me to suffer. And they will do all the things I've overheard when my very own uncle planned and decided to eliminate someone who's work is done.

He already got what he wanted to have, so I'll be of no use. But abruptly dispatching me was something he had underestimated.

It is hard enough to run on time with people running after you. The rain is making it impossible for me to have a chance to change things and seek the justice that I deserve. Oh God be with me, light my way and let me live.
