Everyone had a different perspective of him now simply because he was fine after being in solitary confinement.

There were many inmates who had been sent into solitary confinement for seven days but an inmate coming out fine was truely abnormal. Regardless of whether it was the inmates or the guards, it was human nature to bully the weak and fear the strong. Naturally they would be nice to Yang Yi since it wouldn’t cost them anything. It was one of those simple facts of life.

Yang Yi wasn’t too concerned with his improved status. His only concern right now was how he could quickly achieve his next objective. The first thing he did after he was done eating was to check his account. There was cash in it.

It was exactly one thousand dollars. Thus, Yang Yi immediately settled his debt with Buddy by transferring the money directly into Buddy’s account.

It was free activity period after meal time. So, Yang Yi took the opportunity to call Xiao Ran, “I have received the money. Thanks!”

“Originally I wanted to send more but my friends advised against it. They said it wasn't a good idea to have too much money in prison. So, I only sent a thousand dollars. Let me know if you need more. It’s what I owe you.”

Xiao Ran was being too generous. After checking his surroundings, Yang Yi softly said, “I might need more money in the future. I will call you if such a need arises. I won’t say too much since it’s not very convenient for me to do so. Goodbye.”

Yang Yi let out a breath after ending the call. He had decided not to call Xiao Ran again unless he needed help so he wouldn't cause any problems for Xiao Ran.

After returning the phone to Buddy, Yang Yi lowered his voice and said, “I have the money now. Let’s settle the other matter we have previously discussed. Help me by being the middleman.”

Buddy casually replied, “Sure but not today. You will have to give me the money now. I will arrange for a meeting during tomorrows free activity period.

Yang Yi giving it some thought before asking, “Can it be today? It’s urgent.”

Buddy shook his head and laughed, “Don’t joke with me bro. That’s just impossible. I need to find the right opportunity. It might not even be tomorrow but I will definitely arrange a meet up.”

Yang Yi could only relent since it wasn’t possible, “I will just follow your arrangement then.”

Yang Yi extended out his hand and did a Black man style hand shake taught by Buddy to seal the deal.

He returned to his cell once free activity period was over. Yang Yi wasn’t able to sleep well while he was in solitary confinement. Thus, he immediately went to sleep the moment he was back in his cell.

Yang Yi was sound asleep when Chris shook him awake.

Yang Yi woke up grumpily due to the interruption. Chris then informed him, “Wake up, the guard is looking for you.”

Yang Yi sat up and looked at the guard who was standing outside the cell. The guard expressionlessly said, “Come out, inmate 3387.”

Yang Yi was handcuffed after exiting his cell. He was then escorted away. He was sent to meet senior guard Owen again.

Owen might not be the prison’s head guard but he was most likely ranked second or third in the hierarchy. However, it was still just a guess since Yang Yi wasn’t entirely sure how the prison system worked. Yang Yi was brought back to the same room but this time he was not cuffed to the chair.

All the guards had been dismissed as well leaving only Yang Yi in the room with Owen. The room remained silent for quite some time before Owen finally opened his mouth, “You’re lucky this time. The feud between you and the Boxing King will end here. A warning though, don’t cause anymore problems in the future. Do you understand me?”

Yang Yi was amazed to hear that he wouldn’t be receiving any additional punishment.

After seriously injuring five other inmates, Yang Yi had believed there was no way he could avoid getting his sentence increased and being moved to the felony section.

Why was there no additional punishment? Yang Yi started to wonder after the sense of amazement passed.

A prison could not unilaterally increase an inmate’s sentence. It would first have to report the matter to the judiciary system and open an investigation that would need to be conducted before a decision could be pronounced. This would mean Yang Yi would have to be interviewed multiple times by outsiders sent over by the judiciary system but the crux of that was Yang Yi’s identity as a substitute.

It would expose Yang Yi’s identity if a request to increased Yang Yi’s sentence was made. Thus, such a scenario would be avoided at all cost and it could only be handled in a low profile matter where everything was down-played.

Yang Yi was happy when he discerned the reason. However, his happiness was short-lived when he realized he wouldn’t be moved to the felony section.

“Sir, is it possible to move me to the felony section? I won’t be able to cause anymore problems once we are kept apart.”

It might seem bizarre for an inmate to request being sent to the felony section but Yang Yi had to make the attempt.

Owen glared at Yang Yi loathingly before retorting, “Shut the hell up! You don’t have the right make any requests. I will break your ass if your dare to cause any more trouble. Now roll the hell back to your cell.”

Owen was without a doubt boiling with anger. Yang Yi was still wondering how he had offended Owen when two guards came in to escort him back to his cell.

This meant the Boxing King would still be a threat to him. Not only was Yang Yi upset, the situation also gave birth to a new sense of crisis. Nonetheless, he could only obediently return to his cell. It had totally ruined his mood to continue sleeping, though.

Yang Yi’s triumph over the Boxing King and his four men in the bathroom wasn’t because he was a capable fighter. It was inevitable the feud with the Boxing King would continue once he recovered. He would definitely bring more men the next time and Yang Yi would definitely not escape.

As such, he had to resolve the whole issue with the Boxing King as soon as possible.

*****

During breakfast on the next day, Yang Yi had heightened his vigilance in case the Boxing King’s men would seek out vengeance but it went by peacefully. He had planned to ask Buddy how things were progressing but he couldn’t find Buddy at all. Buddy hadn’t turned up for breakfast.

This caused Yang Yi to be rather anxious but it was quickly assuaged. Buddy somehow appeared out of nowhere to meet him during free activity period.

Buddy had completed his task. There was a guard standing on the other side of the fence.

There was no need for pointless ice breaking in prison. Thus, Yang Yi immediately asked the guard through the fence, “Can you arrange for me to be transferred to the felony section?”

“The felony section? I can give it a try... It shouldn’t pose too much of a problem.”

Yang Yi was pleased that the guard had agreed so easily, “Thanks. I hope you can make this happen as soon as possible.”

“Sure, I will update you.”

The guard immediately left after agreeing to Yang Yi’s request. Yang Yi now felt at ease. It was definitely nice to have money. He could easily resolve any problems even after he had been transferred to the felony section.
