As expected.

When Suǒ Lun snuck out and circled around pretending to pass by, there stood two fully armed guards stationed at the gate.

There should be something valuable inside!

Since he didn’t have the means to enter Suǒ Lun could only seek out his next target, there were many lock-picking opportunities in the wharf, plenty enough for him to promote to a rank 3 or above Rogue. When the occupational is promoted to rank 3 ordinary locks will not be able to improve his banditry skills, he could only find ways of sneaking into Amber City to pry open more advanced locks.

Merely being a rank 3 Rogue was already sufficiently convenient, under normal circumstances, each city would have a hidden treasure hideaway.

Inside besides traps and monsters, there will also be an treasure chest.

These were extraordinary items only accessible by early access players, the value was absolutely breathtaking!

Generally.

A team of 5 adventurers would be needed to for the hidden treasure hideaway, however there lies the superiority of the Rogue; if the skill level were high enough a single rank 3 Rogue would be enough to infiltrate inside.

The cavern is a special geographical environment in which rogues receive a +5, dark caves make it much easier for them to sneak.

All skill points were allocated to stealth.

In one breath Suǒ Lun’s stealth skill finally reached 68, theft currently wasn’t very useful, with 35 points into theft it would be enough to steal from a slow reacting target. For the once-legendary Rogue this area was very relaxing, Suǒ Lun could easily judge which pot-bellied merchant would be unaware of him stealing thing. Lockpicking had more than 45 points now, this was now more than enough to cope with ordinary locks; it was possible it would need to be upgraded after entering Amber City.

The lowest skill was currently  trap, this was used to remove some simple alarm devices, to deal with the hidden cavern most likely wouldn’t be good enough!

Next time Suǒ Lun promoted his Rogue class rank he’d need to upgrade his trap skills to 30

***************************************************

“When seen in this light.*”

“Waiting until Rogue class is promoted to level 3 you’ll be able to get additional occupational expertise.

Suǒ Lun figure weaved through the crowd, when he emerged inside of his hands were a few more silver Deleur. Having agility reaching the super-human ranks of higher than 20 points allows him to respond before others can react; allowing him to steal what he wanted. Not to mention he still had two very good personal skills.

Deft* Left Hand [Personal skill]

In long-term training a Rogue has an incomparably deft hand

Permanently enhances agility by 1

Theft, unlocking, and disarming gain an additional 3 point bonus

(It was said that doing exercises that waste paper one could also increase the dexterity of each hand by alternating between the right and the left would increase agility by 2, but one would have to be under [Physical immunity] or else 3 stamina will be lost.)

Eidetic Memory [Personal skill]

In long-term training gives you an Eidetic memory letting you remember everything you’ve ever seen

Permanently enhances intelligence by 1

When recalling memories obtain bonus 3 points

(If able to recall the name from over 100 seiyuus intelligence permanently increases by 3 points, but charm would be reduced by 5 with a chance of grasping the aura of deviant hentai.)

*(A/N): (Please ignore everything inside these parentheses. — Buddha)

The former is a very rare personal ability.

The latter could be obtained through training, but it’s not so easy to obtain a special ability.

Many in the field of sorcery spent lots of effort to become one of those who possessed the Eidetic memory skill.

A day’s time quickly passed.

Suǒ Lun pried open more than 10 locks while simultaneously stealing some goods.

If it were ever the case of someone charging in now, a gang of one or two rank 5 warriors; Suǒ Lun would not be their match. A qualified fighter has more than 15 points allocated to strength and have exceptional weapons skills as well as corresponding fighting skills. Occupational warriors ranked over 5 have an innate skill, letting the strength attribute reach more than 18 points; once that happened without undergoing the professional combat training Suǒ Lun wouldn’t be their match.

No gang could press him for these items, they belong to him alone!

This is a relatively rich income.

Suǒ Lun stole a total of 12 Deleur; this was sufficient enough to last him and Weiwei more than a month, and he also accumulated his occupational experience to more than 200 points.

More than 500 experience points was needed to advance to rank 3 Rogue.

At the current rate of progress, one day was enough to raise the rank of the Rogue class.

Class 10 civilian / rank 5 Rogue.

This was considered the scope of entry into the second-order class, when that time came Suǒ Lun could acquire the special ability ‘Shadow kill’.

In the second-order class.

A Rogue specialized in stealth using the ‘Shadow kill” attack are the most dangerous.

Having the ability to kill others in one strike.

The Slums.

When Suǒ Lun returned to his shack, he immediately heard the sound of voices coming from inside.

He shoved the door open and went inside, as he entered he saw a lucid and elegant priestess sitting on a stool. Upon seeing Suǒ Lun her expression immediately turned cold, she softly  hummed a greeting, afterwards she turned to the nearby little Weiwei An with a smile and said: “Now that he is back.”

“Then I would leave.”

“You’ll want to be more careful when by yourself, if anything happens come find me at the Temple of Dawn’s Light.”

Weiwei An cleverly nods her head, immediately expressing gratitude: “Thanks elder sister An Yali”

This young lady was a apprentice priestess of the Temple of Dawn’s Light which representative faith being in the God Ka’er Souros, before the chaotic age when the gods fell from the sky. Ka’er Souros was one of the radiant Gods, and was the first to come under attack of the abyss fiends during the chaotic era; the number of radiant gods that fell were more than half!

Perhaps the young woman would soon lose some of her divine power

Her name was An Yali, after accidentally meeting Weiwei An she took a liking to her and the reason she helped Suǒ Lun was because of her.

Unfortunately, her divine skill ranking was to low, leaving her no means to treat Suǒ Lun’s injuries.

As a priestess of the Temple of Dawn’s Light An Yali actually loathes the Rogue Suǒ Lun, therefore she never met him with a good face.

Maybe in her opinion, it was because of thieves and robbers that the law and order in Amber City was so poor.

“What happened?”

Following the departure of the young priestess, Suǒ Lun squatted down and caressed Weiwei’s little head and asked: “Why did she come?”

Weiwei looked him in the eye and answered in a low voice:”Today someone was secretly hiding nearby.”

“Probably Ke’er’s subordinates.”

“Fortunately Sister An Yali came and made them run away scared.”

“Afterwards she also treated the wound on my back!”

Weiwei An’s small hand lift her clothes, the small black and purple bruises had dissipated. Suǒ Lun had already bought a slight therapeutic agent that wasn’t easily found through special channels. The slums didn’t have blacksmith shops nor medicinal shops, wanting to buy these items must be done through a blackmarket dealer, many weapons are also bought through these means.

“Ke’er?”

Suǒ Lun eye’s let out a burst of murderous intent, he hadn’t thought the other party would be so unexpectedly bold. Just because he refused, he dared to send someone over.

He really thinks he’s one to act shyly?

“Tomorrow I’ll take you to the city, we’ll first look for an inn to stay in.”

Suǒ Lun handed Weiwei some stolen candy that he’d shoplifted, saying in a soft voice: ”The city has patrolling guards, and the public security is also better compared to here.”

“You staying there is much safer.”

Weiwei An lightly nods her small head; extending a small hand to take the candy, after she disassembles the wrapping she places the candy into her mouth, immediately smiling happily: “Ge!”

“It’s sweet and yummy!”

“You also eat a piece of it.”

Her small hand placing a piece of candy into Suǒ Lun’s mouth, she was always so easy to satisfy, even the slum’s cheap and inferior candy could also make her this happy.

Suǒ Lun’s face also revealed a smiling expression, also chewing a piece of candy.

Very tart, very sweet.

This was inferior malt sugar that many of the aristocrats wouldn’t spare even a glance.

But in the slums there was only this.

Weiwei stood up on the bench, her small hands patting the dust from Suǒ Lun clothes, whispering: “An Yali sister is a good person.”

“While you were in a coma, no one wanted to help us.”

“Only she was willing to help.”

Suǒ Lun flicks her fine jade like nose, in a small voice: “I know.”

“She really is a good person.”

“Given the opportunity, we will repay her.”

Although the young priestess dislikes him, it is undeniable that he owes her a favor.

Suǒ Lun’s gratitude and grudges are distinct.

The sky turns to dusk.

Two people started to busily prepare supper, Suǒ Lun brought smoked meats, with some oil, salt and seasonings.

The corpses of the stove tavern had been discovered.

Others nearby looked at him with eyes that held traces of fear, occasionally smelling the fragrant aroma that transmitted from the meat as they swallowed their saliva.

Weiwei ate a lot.

Her small stomach having started to bulge, at seeing Suǒ Lun’s teasing gaze her small young face couldn’t help but blush red; she waved her small fist somewhat humiliated and angry.

Today was very satisfying!

Suǒ Lun lovingly caressed her small head, the two freely talking until it grew dark; then crawling into bed.

Darkness fell.

Suǒ Lun all along closed eyes open, he carefully extracts his arm being held by Weiwei.

He soundlessly crept out of bed, put on clothes, and took up his dagger placing it at his waist.

Some issues.

Nevertheless the earlier solved the better!

Suǒ Lun looks at the still sleeping Weiwei as she lay quietly in bed, he carefully closes the door as he departs.

The dark of the night is the time for slaughter.

Suǒ Lun didn’t have time or energy to worry about these minor issue, he doesn’t want these people to threaten Weiwei’s safety.

Since they dare to pay attention to Weiwei’s body!

Then they can all go to hell.

Under the cloak of darkness, Suǒ Lun with a deadpan expression submerges into the shadows; immediately his form gradually fades his eyes emitting an ice-cold killing intent.

The cross lane is still as lively as before.

Relative to other parts of the slums this is the liveliest place.

Ke’er became the new leader.

He has gathered the local thugs and rogues to compete for fatty meat in the slums.

There were also some prostitutes many of whom were quite beautiful, occasional wharf workers came to play; therefore whoever grasped the this area of the slum would receive an important source of income. Because the area was contested by some thugs a few days ago, many people crossing the streets carried weapons and few guests came to play. Prostitutes stood idly, occasionally Ka’er’s men would pull up one of the curtains and entered into a shack.

In the darkness.

A figure quietly appeared, approaching from the shadow in the corner.

The slaughter has just begun.
