“Ah! Squeak!!!” As soon as the dream weaver opened its mouth, it let out a harsh squeal, desperately trying to escape.

“Shut up!” Huang Beiyue growled in a low voice, picking up the dream weaver by the petal-like leaves upon its head. She noticed that it also had tiny hands and feet.

This type of spirit beast had only ever been recorded in books; few people had ever seen it, and even Huang Beiyue had believed that they were extinct. If they did exist, though, they would’ve lived in the deepest parts of the Floating Forest and wouldn’t have come out so easily. So why were they all the way out here?

Frightened by Beiyue’s menacing tone, the dream weaver closed its mouth and didn’t dare to make another sound.

“Are the dreams they weave true?” Huang Beiyue asked in a low voice.

“It depends on one’s willpower, but as long as you’ve already experienced it, they can make you go through it all over again.”

Huang Beiyue pondered over it for a while as her clear eyes stared at the frightened dream weaver. It whimpered pitifully at the murderous glint flashing in her eyes.

Feng Lianyi looked at it and said, “They’re very timid and only dare to hide in the dark.”

“Because it’s a spirit beast, as long as I make a contract, I can communicate with them, right?”

Feng Lianyi was stunned. Did Huang Beiyue really want to make a contract with the dream weaver? Although the abilities of the creature were quite useful, creating a contract wouldn’t be easy unless the necessary precautions were taken.

“Their language is very unique. As they are a sort of psychological-spiritual beast, it’s difficult to communicate with them.”

“Is it?” Huang Beiyue narrowed her eyes. “No matter what type of language it is, there is always a way to communicate with others, and it’s by intimidating them!”

She threw the dream weaving beast to the ground and gave the tiger a command. “Bite him!”

Having the creature placed right in front of him, the little golden tiger was immediately excited and jumped up to nibble at the dream weaver.

“Squeak!!!” The dream weaver screamed, scared out of its wits.

After being gnawed on for a while, the dream weaver caught an opportunity and snuck out of the tiger’s mouth, running for its life.

How could its small legs run so fast? Although it ran with its life on the line, it was no match for Huang Beiyue, who quickly kicked him back!

“Ahhhhh!” The dream weaver screamed and was doused in tiger saliva as it was bitten once more. It now knew that escaping was an impossible feat. Its eyes blinked, looking at Huang Beiyue pitifully and begging for mercy.

Huang Beiyue squatted down and looked at him arrogantly. “Listen to me. You’re not allowed to run away.”

“Ah! Squeak!!”

“No more squeaking. I can’t understand it. But if you understand me, blink. If you don’t, don’t blink.”

The dream weaver stared at her, momentarily frozen. Suddenly, the eyes of Huang Beiyue turned cold and threatening. The dream weaver, as a result, blinked as fast as it could.

The corners of her mouth lifted, and she gave another command to the tiger. “Let him go.”

The tiger opened his mouth and spat out the little dream weaver.
