Xiao Tian and Xiao Liang met at the entrance of the army camp. Xiao Liang had just hopped off the horse when he saw his second brother coming from a distance. A soldier from his brother's camp accompanied him. Once they were face to face, they both looked at each other questioningly.
"Second brother, why are you here?" Jiang Xiao Liang asked.
"Elder brother asked me to come," Xiao Tian said. He frowned as a thought crossed his mind. "You too?"
Xiao Liang replied with a nod. "Do you know what is this about?"
Xiao Tian shook his head. "Let's meet with Elder brother and find out."
He could not understand why their eldest brother summoned them for a meeting at his camp. If he had something to say, then, couldn't he say at home? Why is he so secretive? Could it be something confidential?
The two brothers arrived at Xiao Xian's camp and entered once one of the soldiers ushered them in. Jiang Xiao Xian stood up immediately. He spoke something to the soldier and walked towards his brothers.
"Elder brother," Xiao Liang looked at his brother tensely. "Why did you invite us both here?"
"Sit," Jiang Xiao Xian sat down and pointed at the two chairs across him.
His two brothers looked at each other before they sat down. Soon after, the soldier returned with some tea and refreshment before he retreated.
"By now, I'm sure that both of you had met Yang Yun." Jiang Xiao Xian poured the tea into the cup. Then, he looked at his brother alternately. They both did not answer to him. They were watching him in confusion. His gaze stopped at Xiao Tian. "It has been a long time since the three of us did anything together."
Jiang Xiao Tian leaned forward. "Eldest brother, what are you trying to say exactly."
"It won't be long before Mingyue's wedding," Xiao Xian did not answer to his brother's question. His lips curved into a playful smile. "Before Mingyue married that boy, as her brother, we should find out whether he's worthy of Mingyue."
Xiao Tian swallowed as a thought crossed his mind. Somehow, he did not like where this conversation was heading. Their third brother, however, had a big smile on his face. His eyes shined brightly.
"Eldest brother," Xiao Liang spoke. "Whatever you're planning, I will listen to your arrangement."
Xiao Tian glanced at the third brother with disapproval. Then he looked at Xiao Xian. "Eldest brother, Don't tell me that you don't like Yang Yun. I thought he is a soldier under you. Shouldn't a soldier chose by you to be a captain of an elite troop received your approval by now?"
"Just because he received my approval as the captain of an elite troop does not mean that I fully approve of his relationship with our dearest sister." Xiao Xian said.
Xiao Tian stared into his elder brother's eyes. He heaved a sigh once he knew that Xiao Xian was determined to test Yang Yun. "Are you sure you wanted to do this?"
"You're against elder brother's plan?" Xiao Liang questioned.
Xiao Tian shook his head. "I don't agree. Mingyue would not like this. If she founds out…"
"If no one said anything about it, Mingyue wouldn't know anything." Jiang Xiao Xian said. He looked at Xiao Tian with a sharp gaze, as if warning him. "Besides," his lips curved into another playful smile. "Whoever said that we're bullying this boy? This is a bonding session. if he wanted to become a part of our family, we would have to do our best and welcome him."
