8 – Dynamic Mission
The roar sounded once more, but the frequency and pattern were somewhat different. In the next instant, a Nightmare moving at a high speed suddenly changed directions and, like a hunting goshawk, dabbed at the SUV.

The man screamed in fear, his hands clinging to the ground in an attempt to hinder the Nightmare. But no matter how he exerted himself, no matter how bloody the tips of his fingers were, he was still dragged more than ten meters away by the Nightmare.
Immediately after, the surrounding Nightmares flocked over. Amidst the sounds of a body being torn, the man was ripped apart at a visible rate, as blood spread on the ground alike a red carpet. The viscera scattered on the ground nearby was stepped on by the Nightmares and burst alike balloons.
Among the human squad, a man, who was unresigned, took over for the dead man and climbed into the co-pilot seat, before opening fire at the Nightmares. However, the Nightmares didn’t give him any opportunities. They started to move at a high speed again. Even though they were occasionally hit, but with their thick hide, they were not affected in the least.
Very quickly, the same play was staged once more. Following a strange howl, the Nightmares repeated the same trick. First was the dispersed formation to contain the fire power, followed by a surprise attack on the lone man in the SUV. The man was dragged out of the vehicle, torn apart, and consumed.
Everyone was so frightened that no one else dared to go operate the machine gun, and could only keep firing with their outdated weapons. However, without the suppression from the machine gun fire, their weapons were basically of no threat to the Nightmares. All resistance had become futile.

If you were to come across a legendary Lord-rank creatures like the Vampire Queen, the Swarm Empress, and the like, then you could only wait obediently for death to come.
However, the good thing about dynamic missions was that there was no penalty if one didn’t complete them, which was considered to be a rather user-friendly aspect of the Cube.
Luo You was now feeling a bit awkward regarding the dynamic mission. Although the B-level difficulty was not unreasonable, but it was also not at a degree he could easily handle.
The Nightmare Leader should be an evolved form of the Nightmares. Seeing as it could command the other Nightmares with its roars and it comprehended evasive tactics, it should have some intellect.
