"After the investigation, I found out that she have been poisoning me. Little by little she added poison to my food for the past 5 years." he said with an indignant tone of voice.
She poisoned him??!! Is she insane? If Neo dies then I'm sure the Yuan family will do their best to know the truth. They will know that he was poisoned and all the evidence will be pointing back at her. Unless... unless someone is backing her up inside the Yuan Family. If they succeed in killing Neo then the inheritance will fall to his cousin.
"Does your parents know about this?" I asked.
"No. It will be a huge mess if they find out. My parents and grandparents are not in good terms as of the moment, my grandparents trust the Shen family and treat Ms. Shen as their own granddaughter." Neo said.
"Then why look for a fake girlfriend? Why ask me to be your fake girlfriend? If what you said is true then doesn't that mean that you will end up marrying me? Well, that's if I dont marry Vincent." I asked.
"You're still 16, theres still time before you turn 18. I plan on collecting enough evidence that will make the elders not entrust the company to my cousin. If I succeed then there will be no one else legitimate enough to become the Yuan heir aside from me. So my marriage with the Shen family or yours will not matter anymore." he explained.
With a skeptical look i asked him "What if you don't succeed?"
