When I was 5, I innocently asked my parents as to why they keep on arguing and fighting. Mom answered me with her warm contagious smile, she said "Honey, me and daddy are not fighting. We are only playing."
"Playing? What game is it? The teacher said that during a game one must accept if she loses and not argue with the winner." I said this with a puzzled expression on my face.
Father then ruffled my hair before saying "This is a different game sweetheart. It's for adults only. And your teacher is right. One must accept defeat." Father said as he gave mom a knowing smile. Mother rolled her eyes at my father in return.
I stared at my mother and father for a long period of time before nodding my head in understanding. "So, when I become an adult I can also play with mommy and daddy?" I said excitedly.
"Of course honey~," Mother said as she pinched my cheeks.
"Then can I also make a little Elrae as mommy and daddy did? Mommy, you said that you won when mommy and daddy played! I want to play too and make a little Elrae!!" I cheerfully exclaimed. My parents are now looking at me with weird expressions on their faces. My smile slowly faded as I see my father's ice cold expression as he glared at his wife. "Daddy? What's wrong?" I asked in a low anxious tone of voice.
Father instantly smiled as he lifted me off the ground and into his warm strong arms. He kissed my forehead before saying "Nothing's wrong sweetheart. Daddy is just tired because of work. Do you want to go and eat pastries with daddy?"
"Mommy said that I should not eat too many pastries or else I would become ugly and daddy will not like me anymore," I said pitifully.
Dad chuckled as he kissed my forehead. "Daddy will always love his little princess." I looked up and stared at him intently before saying "Really? Even when I become ugly?"
"Sweetheart, you will never become ugly as long as we have money for plastic surgery. ouch!" Simon Tan winced in pain as his wife secretly pinched him.
"Come on, let's go to the garden. Your brother is waiting for us." Mother said as she swiftly snatched me away from my father's embrace. She then elegantly carried me towards the garden.

I am now inside my room reading an article about the Yuan family. Neo still hasn't made a move since we last met. He also did not do anything against what we agreed upon, so basically, everything is good so far. My brother is in town until tomorrow so I'm sure that Vincent will not show himself for the time being.
Vincent will not come unless my mother calls him personally. Qian is not that fond of Vincent. Even though they basically see each other almost every day when he was still living here with us, they don't get along at all. Vincent is not the type to let himself get bullied that easily so they end up teasing and quarreling everytime they see each other. Vincent only started to avoid Qian a few weeks after he introduced Alyssa to me as his girlfriend. I really don't mind their sudden change since I think that them not seeing each other is better than them always quarreling and fighting each other.
When night came, Julia came to my room to tell me that dinner is ready. I hastily walked out of my room to avoid my brother being impatient and personally entering my room like this morning. When I arrived at the dining area, I saw a familiar back facing me. A crease formed on my forehead as I saw my brother cheerfully talking to someone. Is it his friend? He said that Elthon is busy at the moment that is why he didn't come with him. Elthon and Qian are childhood friends, they even call each other brothers. When Qian noticed me, he motioned for me to come closer. When I was a few feet away from them, the mysterious visitor moved to look at me. My feet suddenly froze on the spot as I saw the sly greeting smile of the devil.
Fadjie Bar!! What is the devil doing in my home? Isn't he supposed to be having a very romantic dinner date with that pretty girl in a nerd costume fiance of his? The timing man! How is this even near the 'secret admirer' role that you are supposed to play?? This is far from secret!! With an indifferent tone of voice, I said "What a surprise. Didn't expect to see the young master Yuan in our humble home."
