This looks like a romantic scene in a romance movie but to me, it is a very dangerous scene in a thriller movie. I am now sitting two feet away from Neo in our back garden after my older brother successfully bribed me with ancient artifacts from across the world. How can I say no to those priceless treasures?
Accompanying Neo in exchange for such precious items is a pretty good deal. I can deal with the devil as long as he does not use underhanded means like for example blackmailing the beautiful and innocent me. He better leave soon while I am still in a good mood. Unfortunately, he is nowhere near my expectation because right now he is standing in front of me and is looking down at me intently.
I frowned at his actions. What does he want now? Is he challenging me or something? "Is there anything wrong Mr. Yuan?" I asked him.
He shook his head and sat back down but now he is sitting right beside me on the long bench. A crease formed on top of my forehead as I stayed still. "Do you think I'm a good guy Ms. Tan?" a cold indifferent voice said which made me shiver in shock. I was surprised that he actually started the conversation with me. "No. I don't think so." I said to him with a serious tone of voice. I straightened my back and intently looked at the roses. I dont think that lying is going to work so i better answere this question with sincerity. Everyone calls him the demon king anyway.
I almost jumped to my feet when I suddenly felt warm air brush by my right ear. A minty smell then reached my nose and a seductive yet very intimidating voice sounded right next to my ear. "Aren't you aware that being too honest will only get you into trouble?"
Goosebumps then run through my spine as I tried my best not to show him how surprised and affected I was because of our closeness at the moment. I still remained calm and collected on the outside acting as if the demigod, who is now a point away from my skin, is invisible. I stared straight in front without moving an inch, afraid that a slight movement will cause a very big damage to my still recovering dignity. I can hear him perfectly! Why does he have to get this close and to the point where his lips are now almost touching my ear?! Is he trying to provoke me?
"Mr. Yuan, do you need space? Because it seems like I have to ask for a longer bench next time you visit." I said to him.
I felt Neo move a bit away from me which made me feel relieved in an instant. Good! It seems like this guy still have a bit of sense left in him.
"I think that a longer bench will be a waste of money and effort. You better request for a shorter one instead." Neo said in an indifferent tone of voice.
Me on the other hand almost lost my calm and indifferent demeanor when I heard him say those words. A shorter bench? What does he mean by that?
