Caesar looked up at Anastasia, his gaze lingered on the right side of her pale neck… Caesar felt as though he could see the veins under her skin. His instincts were telling him to jump on her and suck her dry however, he was holding himself back.
"Are you feeling okay Mephesto? You look awfully pale" Anastasia said in a worried tone
"I'm fine, I just need some rest" Caesar replied slowly
"Are you sure? Is there anything I can do to help" Anastasia said while walking a step forward
Seeing this Caesar frowned "Can't you just walk away woman!" He was screaming in his mind but the words that exited his mouth were vastly different.
"Haha, don't worry about me. How about we meet up at a later date"
"A d-date? I don't know if our relationship has progressed that far" Anastasia said bashfully
"This woman is a blockhead" Caesar couldn't help but think to himself
Caesar walked to the gates of the manor and said "I truly apologize but I have something I need to attend to" Caesar said with an apologetic look
Caesar swiftly walked outside the manor gates without waiting for Anastasia's reply, right as he passed the gates he put his hand on the wall and started gasping for breath. Caesar didn't hesitate any longer and ran to the nearby forest, Caesar moved swiftly through the streets like a gust of wind.
After reaching the edge of the forest Caesar started frantically looking for beasts that contained mana in their blood.
About an hour later Caesar walked out of the forest with a refreshed look and blood trickling down his mouth, Caesar started stroking his chin in contemplation "It appears the stronger my physique gets the stronger my vampiric tendencies control me, I should prepare for the next time something like this happens again"
Caesar wiped off the blood that was resting on his mouth and walked back to the manor, Caesar gazed at the sun that going down and thought "Tonight is when Riza and Anthony said they were going to complete to task, tonight should be hectic in the kingdom" Caesar smiled to
himself as he passed through the gates to his manor.
"Creak"
Caesar walked through the door to see his father and the others already waiting for him at the dinner table. Crowley noticing Caesars arrival beckoned him over with a smile on his face. "Where did you meet these three? They are very respectful and well mannered"
"I met them at a shop and offered them a job" Caesar replied
"Ohh, you have a good eye son. About the business license, It went smoothly so it will arrive in a week or so"
"Thank you father, I knew I could count on you" Caesar praised
"Haha, it is but a simple matter" Crowley replied while scratching his hair
Everyone soon began to eat the food laid out on the table, beautifully made medium rare steak, crab, soups, salads and a fresh loaf of bread. Caesar always wondered who prepared the meals "Is it Sebastian?" he thought to himself.
"BANG"
Suddenly a few knights and a minister came through the front door with frantic expressions on their faces… the minister walked in front of the others and pulled out a scroll.
"T-the second prince has been assassinated and the king calls for all of those with high status to the palace right away. The invited individuals of the Pheles family include Crowley and Mephesto.
Crowley stood up at an astonishing speed and slammed the table, shock covered his face. "How could this have happened?"
The minister didn't respond and gestured to his carriage… Crowley walked over and got on the carriage, Caesar followed and also got on the carriage. Right as they were about to leave Elizabeth came running over with tears in her eyes.
"Did daddy and grandpa do something bad?"
Caesar smiled lovingly and caressed her head "no darling, daddy and grandpa are going to go catch the bad guy that did something bad"
Elizabeth's eyes showed realization and she nodded her head up and down vigorously… "go show those bad guys!!"
The carriage starting moving right after Elizabeth's encouragement, in the carriage Crowley was sitting there with a solemn look. Caesar however was very calm "They did it a little sooner than I thought, i figured they would at least wait until midnight" Caesar thought to himself quietly
"I can't believe the second prince was assassinated right under our noses… Could it be one of our enemy kingdoms or perhaps another prince?" Crowley started mumbling his theories behind the assassination the whole ride to the palace.
Suddenly the carriage made an abrupt stop and the guard in front yelled "We have arrived!" Caesar and Crowley both exited the carriage and entered into the palace halls. Waiting for them was the king and a few other recognizable faces.
"Come sit old friend" The king's eyes held sorrow and it looked like his normal vigor was gone. The queen was not even present. Caesar and Crowley stepped forward and sat in the seats provided by the king.
The king was the first that opened his mouth "The culprits must pay" The anger in the king's voice was highly discernable. Caesar thought to himself "There might be a chance this king will go on a slaughter"
One of the dukes sitting at the conference table raised his voice "Do we know who is responsible for assassinating the prince?"
One of the other dukes said "It has to be one of the kingdoms towards the south of us… no one else has any motive"
At this time I raised my voice "Have you checked the second princes room thoroughly, perhaps there is some evidence that will lead us to the murderer?" Caesar smiled inside
The king at this time looked up and said "how could I forget such an important matter, I will send my guards to search through his room immediately" as he said this he beckoned with his hands and three or so guards starting rushing through a corridor.
The king's eyes suddenly grew serious and said "This meeting isn't only about the assassination of my son, due to this event my eyes have been opened"
The king paused for a second and continued " The three kingdoms to the south of us have banded together to form a much larger force than us…. I got word from my scouts that they have an army of 15000 soldiers only a months out from us and they are marching our way"
The mouths of the dukes around table dropped and said
"M-my god, how can this be"
"Our numbers are merely 4500, how can we fight against them"
The king looked down sadly then said "they even have 10-15 wyvern riders" Hearing this all of the people around the table lost hope in their eyes, even my father was thinking for a solution before he said "We need to evacuate the people before they reach us"
The king nodded slowly, at this time I stepped up and put my hand in front of my heart as I did a half bow.
"My king, I have new weapons of destruction being created not to mention I believe I can lead our soldiers to victory"
The dukes around the table grew enraged
"What can a mere 20 year old accomplish"
"Hmph, kids these days are so arrogant"
The king raised his hand and silenced the other dukes, and looked towards Caesar with interest in his eyes.
"What makes you so confident"
Caesar smiled slyly "With my army of 500 I defeated an elven army of 3000… why couldn't I defeat an army of 15000 with 4500"
The king stood up quickly and asked in a raised voice "Can you really do it?"
"I swear on my name of Mephesto Pheles however your majesty do you perhaps have an excess amounts of engineers. Perhaps I could speed up the process of my weapons if so"
The king stood there for a second and then said "yes, I have many engineers and blacksmiths that are licensed as our personal builders… I can temporarily leave them to you"
"That would be excellent, Its better I show all of you the potential of these weapons"
The king raised an eyebrow and looked at Caesar with interest "How about tomorrow morning"
"That would be fine, please send your engineers to Danny's workshop and your blacksmiths to Roy's shop"
The minister to the side of the king scribbled down some words and nodded his head towards the king… The king once again looked at Caesar "I hope you can pull this off, this meeting is now dismissed. We will meet again tomorrow morning at the places Mephesto has just called off"
Caesar stood up and started walking away, inside he was thinking "This is a perfect chance to show the strength of my weapons to other kingdoms. Once this war's news gets out people will line up to purchase my weapons"
Caesar could not help but let out a chuckle as he was thinking about the upcoming battle, the king and the other dukes seeing this couldn't help but think inside "Maybe this madman can really pull off a miracle…"
Caesar walked out of the palace gates and decided to walk home, suddenly two people jumped in front of him and kneeled down.
A man and woman's voice sounded at the same time
"We have completed the objective, we are going to return to the assassin's guild and write a letter to you if any notable information reaches our ears"
They both stood up and their identities were revealed, it was Anthony and Riza… Caesar smiled deviously and said "good work you two, assassinating the second prince is something that will help this kingdom."
Riza and Anthony both nodded their heads and went a away a second after. Caesar walked back to the manor and opened the door. Elizabeth was sleeping on the couch in the living room. presumably she was waiting for them to get back, seeing this Caesar smiled and rubbed her hair a bit before walking back to his room.

"Report King, the Rahvin Kingdom scouts have spotted our army"
"Just ours? Good, they will relay false information to their kingdom hahaha"
The man turned to his right and looked at the 10000 strong army of elves and looked at the princess leading them and said "To think the elven saint Anna would help us destroy the Rahvin kingdom"
"I have a personal score I must settle" Anna clenched her teeth hard after saying this
A cheerful youth to the right of her was all smiles and said "haha, Anna you said you would join my group If I helped you take down this 'evil general' Mephesto right?"

"Yoohoo, I can complete the popes objective earlier than I expected"
An army of 25000 slowly marched towards Rahvin kingdom and the main antagonist of all of this was currently sitting in his room sipping on wine looking at a new blueprint he just illustrated.
"Hahahaha, They will regret turning their sights on my family and my kingdom" Caesars room radiated a strong killing intent as well as a devilish laughter
