Although it's night time, the whole place is glowing with orbs of light. The chief walks silently on the trail. As soon as he steps on to the area, the orbs of white light turned violet and they emit dark feelings in the surroundings. The Chief did not bother with the orbs and just continue moving forward. At first, the whole place seems to be alive but as soon as he keeps on with the trail, the whole surroundings became devoid of life. Even the moss that should be green became color grey and devoid of life. Almost all of the life in the area is already devoid of life except the ones that are already devoid of life.

"Tch, useless lifeforms. Can't even sustain the slight power I am releasing unconsciously," the Chief muttered to himself as he observed the plants wilting as he passes by.

The road became darker and darker as time went on and the road is barely noticeable. The Chief held his hand up and cast a magic spell.

"Light Orb!"

In a split second, a small orb of violet light appeared on the air. It's a dark light that you will find it strange enough. The Chief did not mind his orb of light having a color violet color. He just continues to walk on forward with a very certain goal. It didn't take him too long to reach the place of his destination.

It was a cave with very heavy aura on it. Just by being near on it gives you the goosebumps and entering it gives you the chills and heaviness. For the Chief, however, this is the ideal place for him as the darkness enveloping the area is perfect for honing his dark magic skills. He entered the cave and grab a stick on a crate and scratch the tip of it on the wall. Like a match, the stick ignited which made the cave a bit brighter. The only thing is that the darkness still dominates.

The Chief carried the torch with him as he continues to move towards the deep cave further. There are other creatures inside the cave, however, with the tremendous power of the Chief, the creatures inside the cave do not engage to the Chief without any reason. They are very afraid of the person entering the cave right now and as soon as the Chief passed by, the creatures in there seemed to sigh in relief.

The Chief continues his trek inside the cave until he arrived on an area amassed with dark aura that even normal humans can see. Any people who are not tinged with darkness would not be able to last here for long periods of time and for the people who are like the Chief who is already tinged with darkness, would never feel anything that causes any discomfort on them.

On the deepest part of the cavern, a chasm of dark energy that seemed to be brewed for countless years is currently manifesting in the middle of the cave's deepest chamber. Near the chasm is an altar with bloodstains on it's top. It means that this altar is somewhat used for sacrificing something, either, a human, elf or animals in which, only the altar knows what sort of sacrifice is being used in that area.

The Chief stood in the altar and put his staff on the altar.

"My lord, I came back to ask a favor of you," the chief spoke.

The chasm's dark energy seemed to be disturbed as it started swaying around the air like it was somewhat against the things that the Chief had said.

Surprisingly, a voice that came from the chasm started talking. "Speak!"

"My lord, the enemies that who stole the Elemental Pixie invaded my tribe, causing disturbance and chaos to the people. Even the sacrifice that escaped is also with them and are currently fighting alongside them," the chief explained.

"Is that so? Then what do you need from me? Those invaders you have spoken of should be easy to defeat by using your powers, state your business."

"Then I won't be beating the bush anymore, I want you to grant me a stronger power of darkness."

"Why do you want more powers? The last power growth I gave you last time should be enough to dominate most of your enemies," the voice on the chasm shouted.

"Forgive me my lord but the enemies are much harder to deal with and much more versatile in terms of magic spells they wield. I only managed to deal a bit enough damage to them when I used to hostage one of their companions and using the hostage as the meat shield against the attacks of the enemies but the hostage managed to escape. I have to escape too while they are distracted by my guards."

"INSOLENT FOOL!" You wasted the people willing to serve me die in the hands of those bastards. I should have punished you for being so weak. A weakling shouldn't be with my army at all. I have no needs of the weak!"

"Give me a second chance, my lord, to redeem myself from my failure. Next time, those intruders won't be able to do anything against me. I would be able to defeat them and I can use them as sacrifices to you instead. Just this one chance my lord."

The voice of the chasm went silent for a bit. The Chief waited for a while before the voice in the chasm once again started to speak.

"Alright. But this would be the last time. Next time, you will be dead if you keep on bugging me for power," the voice said.

The Chief nodded but he did not manage to react when a dark wave of energy started gushing out of the chasm, straight to the Chief. The energy is so great that even though there is no wind blowing outside, a strong gust manifested in the area. The Chief screamed in pain as the dark power envelops his body. He felt that the energy is much stronger than the last power he received from his lord. One wrong move and the energy on his body might go explode as it starts to wreck his nerves.

The Chief gritted his teeth as hard as he could that blood starts to get out of his mouth and veins starts to bulge out of his skin. His screams of agony seems to be so painful that anyone who can hear him might also bite their lips in pain due to the kind of torment he is experiencing. His screams rang out of the cave for quite a while before it stopped around an hour later.

Near the altar, a figure no longer resembles the Chief is standing, while emitting a large amount of dark energy. His stature is no longer similar to his old face and his skin is already different from his previous one. He has violet skin and his body is buffed enough that he looked like he lived in a gym for 10 years without stopping on exercises.

"Looks like you gained what you want. Don't disappoint me and you will be rewarded. I have no needs for weak people," the voice in the chasm said.

The figure bows down and as he raises his head, it reveals his face of dangerous look that looks similar to the monsters seen in television.

"Yes, I will not disappoint you, Lord Shadow."
