Both approached them, as it was dark already they couldn't see what they looked like, all they could see were dark silhouettes holding long metal pipe like things. One of them was trying to open the driver's door while two other were hiding him back to back and checking if somebody came closer.
"Hey what the **** are you doing to my car ?!" Eric didn't think and threw himself at them while Sam wanted to hold him and plan something but it was too late as they had already seen them, the two guards walked toward them while holding their weapons.
Eric then realized that the situation was more dangerous than he expected, he backed off to stand near Sam and said
"Will you help me ?"
"Sure but you shouldn't have screamed at them, we could have got them by surprise."
"Yeah I'm sorry I panicked..."
"No problem let's just hold on for a bit I already called the police."
Actually when Sam saw Eric running toward them he called he cops very fast, they should be here in less than 10 minutes.
"You better leave very fast, we don't mind breaking a leg or two if you guys refuse..."
Said one of the thugs, now he was under a streetlight so they could see what he looked like, he was dressed in a black attire from top to bottom and was wearing a scarf to hide his face, the only informations they could gather about him was that he was around 180cm tall (5 feet 10) and that he had blonde hair.
"That's my friends car, why don't you leave fast before the police arrive ?" Said Sam, he guessed he could fight them but he didn't want to risk getting injured as they were holding weapons so he first tried to scare them away.
"Haha we will get done with you and take the car away before the police arrive, the nearest police station is at least 15 minutes away, that's not than enough."
Said the second thug, he was almost dressed the same as his friend but he had a face mask to hide half his face, this one was shorter than his friend by 5 cm so both he thugs were shorter than Sam and Eric, being tall didn't mean much in a fight but it would give you a small advantage.
Actually Sam and Eric didn't have to be rushed, all they had to do was to gain time but then the thug in the back said
"I'm almost done just give me a minute ! "
Eric started to panicked he looked at Sam and said
"Let's beat the 2 in the front and then the one in the back!"
"Fine let's do this, be careful they are armed..."
'So it's unavoidable huh...'
Sam took a step toward the blond guy, the guy swiped the metal bar toward Sam's stomach, Sam took a step back and came back when the bar missed him, the bar came back very soon from the other direction, this time toward his head. He ducked a bit and threw a punch toward the guy's stomach, the strength behind the punch was enough to make him throw up so the guy dropped his weapon and took out a knife from his back pocket.
Sam was expecting this, a metal bar wasn't enough to scare of anybody so very often these thugs liked to hide knives. Sam took a few steps back and got ready to go again but then he heard a voice in his head.

- Level one Muay Thai skill book.]
In normal circumstances Sam would chose the level 2 boxing book because upgrading a skill was better than learning a new one, like people said "jack of all trades, master of none." But in this case he thought
'Boxing book would be good but I'll be in range for his knife to hit me, if I take the Muay Thai book I'll use my legs and stay away from his knife range.'
He clicked on the Muay Thai choice without regret. All the informations about Thai boxing got into his head, he want overconfident so he waited for his enemy to approach. When the guy couldn't wait anymore and approached in range of Sam's legs, Sam threw his leg from bottom to top, he was aiming for the guy's chin. When he saw the leg incoming the guy was already running so he couldn't stop, a second later the kick hit his head and the guy fell on the ground fainted.
Sam came back to his original position and looked at Eric, he had already taken a few hits by the metal bar but he hadn't given up and was giving back hit for hit. Sam came from behind the other guy and caught him from under the arms, he wouldn't care about FairPlay or whatever, he just caught the guy and let Eric hit as much as he wanted. When the guy fell on the ground both looked at the last guy, he was looking at them with fear in his eyes.
Sam left the last guy to Eric, he didn't like to fight so he just sat on the car and waited for the police to arrive. When they arrived they gave them the guys and told them what happened, the young policeman that was taking their deposition was looking at them with awe. Two guys had beaten 3 armed thugs and one of them was even wearing a knife, he had became a policeman 2 years ago and this was the first time he saw something like this.
When they were done with the police they took the car after Eric checked it to the smallest detail to check if the thugs had done something to it except trying to open it. In the car Eric said
"Thanks man, you really helped me a lot! Even if I was with these two guys from school I don't think I could've beaten them."
"It's ok, as I didn't give you much advices today you can count this as a repayment for your help."
"Forget about repayment, if you need someone to accompany you someday just call me, as friends this time. What do you think ? »

On the road to Annie's place they turned on the radio and the song playing was Falling down by Xxxtentacion and lil peep, both started to sing together with the radio and Sam realized that Eric didn't have a bad voice, with some training he could do rap.
They enjoyed themselves and sang all the way to their destination, at the end they started screaming the lyrics with the next songs.
Few minutes later Sam got down the car and called Annie on her phone, it was already 10PM and it was close to winter so the sky was already fully dark, he didn't want to wake up anyone that might be sleeping in the house by pressing the ring bell.
« Hey Sam, you're late. »
« Sorry Annie I got held by an unforeseen event... »
« I don't care but Em already fell asleep... maybe you should leave her here tonight and pick her up tomorrow. »
« I don't want to bother you, I'll just take her tonight. »
« I told you it's fine, I'm going back to bed! You should go to sleep too. *yaaaawn* »
Actually the main reason why Sam wanted to take Em was because he was afraid something would happen to her.
« Fine, I'll pick her up tomorrow morning to not bother you more, have a good night. »
