Chapter 42: You Will Know What Kind of Scallion I Am

Ming Yuexin followed Chu Ye into the room. The tears that she tried to hold back suddenly burst out again and she spoke in between sobs. “It was An Fen’er. She lost the key to her own room and couldn’t go in so she forced her way into mine and drove me out…”

Chu Ye frowned, “An Fen’er?” Why was this name a little familiar?

“She is in the same group as us.” Ming Yuexin could keenly see Chu Ye’s puzzlement and promptly explained.

Chu Ye let out a sigh and remembered.

She tossed the key in her hand on the sofa, pulled at Ming Yuexin’s hand and went outside.

“Chu Ye, what are you planning to do?” Ming Yuexin had no choice but to follow Chu Ye.

“Tell her to get lost.” Chu Ye’s gaze was icy. What she loathed the most were women who would bully the weak and suck up to the powerful.

“Don’t.” Ming Yuexin shook off Chu Ye’s hand and stepped back. “Don’t go, she is in the Fire Department’s 5th-grade class, which means she is a fifth-grade wizard. We are no match for her. Furthermore, the An family is a first-rate aristocratic family in Bian City which we can’t afford to offend.”

Chu Ye suddenly gave a supercilious look. She hadn’t seen this type of person who could accept a compromise. Other people would step on their noses but invariably still only know to concede.

No longer paying Ming Yuexin any mind, she took the initiative to go out herself.

“Chu Ye, there really is no need. I can sleep on the sofa…” Ming Yuexin hurriedly chased after her.

Since Room 517 was the room across them, Chu Ye stepped out and heavily kicked on the door to Room 517.

Following the loud banging noise, a furious shriek immediately resounded from inside the room. “Who kicked the door? Are you asking to die?”

“Bang! Bang!” Chu Ye was too lazy to speak up, so she kicked again for two more times.

“Who is it, courting death!” With an enraged roar, the door was pulled open, and the red-haired and red-eyed An Fen’er appeared by the door with their hands on her hips.

The students in the other rooms were also attracted by the sounds and opened the door and stuck their heads out, waiting to watch a good show.

“You, come out.” Chu Ye directed her gaze toward her, eyes unfriendly. She crooked her finger at An Fen’er.

Ming Yuexin knew that she couldn’t stop the situation anymore, so she simply stood on Chu Ye’s left side, no longer saying a word.

“If you tell me to go out, then I must go out? Why do I have to listen to you? Who do you think you are?” An Fen’er’s eyebrows rose, her face filled with unspeakable arrogance.

“I will say it once more, go back to your own room, or else, there will be consequences,” Chu Ye said expressionlessly.

“Ge ge…” Anfen giggled with a lovely smile as if she had heard the funniest joke in the world, and then with a cold humph, contemptuously spoke. “Chu Ye, don’t think too highly of yourself. Let me tell you, this is not Carles. There is no Caroline to provide you support. Do you think you are a scallion?” (T/N: Implying that Chu Ye is worse than a scallion; basically means “who do you think you are?”)

A third-grade wizard has the impertinence to challenge a fifth-level wizard. This is simply following the path to one’s own doom.

Chu Ye’s eyes closed. An Fen’er’s words have already succeeded in angering her.

Abruptly opening her eyes, a piercing ray of light appeared. The corners of her mouth raised in a dangerous arc. “I am what kind of scallion? You will know soon.”

Her voice hadn’t faded when she suddenly acted like she was escaping from a feral horse and aggressively moved.

Ten fingers grabbed An Fen’er’s thick red hair, and violently pushed her head down. At the same time, Chu Ye bent her right knee, and with a dull banging sound, An Fen’er’s clean forehead painfully slammed onto Chu Ye’s hard knee cap.
