After getting assurance from Caleb that nothing can change their friendship, Hayley felt relieved and satisfied. She turned around and started to look at the case in front of her which holds lots of different types of dolls.
Suddenly out of the blue Hayley felt Caleb's hands snaking around her waist and holding her there, firm and secure. She panicked and her hands automatically moved and gripped Caleb's hands to remove his hands from her waist but then she felt Caleb move closer and pressing his body against her body and whispering "Please Don't" in her ear. There was begging in his tone he was begging her not to move his hands away but why, this thought crossed her mind and she lets go of his hand and stood there motionlessly.
"I love you Hayley " there he said it finally. Caleb felt a sense of relief coursing through his body. He again felt Hayley motions against him. " Please hear me out before pushing me away" he pleaded. She stopped, she decided to hear him out.
When Caleb got confirmation that she won't push him again he started his confession "I fell in love with you when I saw you for the first time in our club. I was smitten by you and all I want to be was to get close to you. So I took every opportunity to get near you even if it meant to go to grocery shopping with you. I never wanted to fell in love because I saw it with my own eyes how vunlerable and defenseless it can make you. I never wanted to feel weak, but soon I realized that love never makes you weak it gives you power to face adversities. Alas I am too late to realize that when I realized my love for you and was ready to take actions you were already in love with Aaron." Caleb took a pause and Hayley thought that his monologue ended and she should turn around but in next moment Caleb opened his mouth and continued.
"The moment I realized that Aaron likes you I wanted to fight him for your affection but then I got to know that you also have feelings for him and then I found myself on cross-road and didn't know which way to go. At the end I chooses our friendship your and mine and mine and Aaron's. Apart from those three you are the only one I consider as family and I didn't want to loose my family." He stopped again and this time she was about to turn but he tighten his grip and said "Please turn around with that friendly smile of yours and don't treat me differently just because I confessed my feelings just remember I am your best friend always." With that said he let go. Hayley took her own sweet time before turning back but when she turned around she was same Hayley who entered this factory with him, his friend. " I am hungry" with this statement Hayley conveyed this that she will always consider him friend and whatever happened today doesn't going to dampen their relationship.
It was around eight in evening when Hayley entered her apartment. With Caleb's confession to his family history to Keith's story there were lot of thing happened in last two days. She dialled his number almost knowing that his secretary will pickup the call and will tell her that he is in surgery or with a patient but to her surprise Aaron picked her call and instead of saying hello he said " Open the door."
