Azreal was quite surprised by her request but all that he showed was a slightly raised eyebrow.
"Why?"
"Hahaha, because she is the future Alpha, yet she's only left here once on her own and that was with you, her father is too overprotective so she doesn't know much about the outside world"
He didn't understand why him, it's not like he was someone they knew for ages or anything like that, he should be no different from a stranger to them, just as he was about to voice his thoughts the woman spoke up again.
"Sending her with one of our own is pointless since they'd be no different from her father but you, you are an unknown, so whatever dangers she faces will be real"
"And what would stop me from abandoning her or doing something equally as bad?" Azreal asked with a smug looking smile on his face.
"Hahaha, nothing, absolutely nothing but I know your scent and there wouldn't be a place in this entire realm you'd be able to hide from me" she answered a smile that resembled his.
"I do not want you to protect her with your life, just to allow her to experience the outside world"
Azreal couldn't help but think of it as funny, he knew absolutely nothing about this realm but here this woman was handing over their future Alpha for him to show around.
"I guess I'll have to bring her back too?"
"Yes, and within a month, I can't have her missing her own engagement"
Azreal's ears seemed to twitch when he heard the word 'engagement'.
"Engagement?"
"Yes, Nala is getting married and she meets her fiancé in a month"
Azreal didn't respond, he took a quick glance at Nala but she had no reaction to the words, it looked like she was completely fine with it, but then why would she say she enjoyed traveling with him?
"My answer would be no, I don't feel like it'd be a good idea for me to bring her around in a place I don't understand myself plus she's engaged how appropriate would it be for her to travel around with two men?"
Azreal's words stunned Nala causing her to stare at him but Azreal's eyes remained fixed on the woman who didn't have much of a reaction.
"Please excuse me"
With that Azreal turned around and left, he didn't want to hear what she would come back with.
Once he was outside he released a sigh of relief at the fact that she didn't call him back.
He couldn't deny that he like Nala, whether he was infatuated with her beauty or just genuinely wanting her he didn't know but the fact that she getting married destroyed all of that.
He didn't want to be the guy who tried to steal or stole someone else's fiancé, the reasons he gave might've been a bit weak but they contained all he wanted to say but most importantly he couldn't afford for any of them to see his new weapon.
Back in the garden, Nala looked at her aunt in surprise, while her aunt looked like she wanted to laugh.
Azreal didn't go out that day, he just went straight to the house and got back to meditation, it took a while but the thoughts of what just happened eventually faded as he fell back into his grove.
This only lasted for two days before he heard knocking on the door, which he ignored at first, a whole three minutes passed but the knocking didn't stop so without a choice he opened it.
"Hey, did I wake you?" Azan greeted with a big smile and pushed pass Azreal and went inside.
"Yea you did" Azreal decided to go along with it "So what's up?"
Azan didn't answer right away instead smiling and then running up to the roof, it was night right now so the stars we in full swing.
"What is the real reason why you won't take her with you?" Azan didn't look at instead he was just staring out at the vast sky.
Taking a deep breath Azreal decided to lie.
"It's not that I don't want to but I can't be bothered to come back here in just a few weeks, I have my own stuff to work on and I don't know how much time it'll take up"
'Plus she's getting married and I can't afford for any of you to see my new weapon'

"She's never had an opportunity to see what's outside before, well not until you came along, and I wouldn't have even gotten the chance if I hadn't run away....everyone says she's supposed to take over from my uncle but in truth it's only in name until I come of age, her marriage is going to be put on hold until then but once she does, she's technically not an empyrean wolf anymore, and since she's not going to really be apart of family she marries into she isn't really anyone, I don't believe a chance like this will come again for her"
