All the master were staring at Lako and Mako and all they could do was look straight ahead.

It's not like they could explain themselves and say 'hey we didn't know', that would be even worst and would confirm what all of them were thinking 'they don't belong'.

But the other master thought even less of them, to teach a technique that belonged solely to your people to another race just to win a competition was utterly disgraceful.

Right now in their minds, they were cursing Kakar for teaching Azreal.

"To sell out your own race just to win a competition, how much more pathetic can one get?"

"Sickening is what it is! Disgraceful!"

The masters weren't speaking in hushed tones either they spoke loud and clear for Lako and Mako to hear.

When they saw the mantis get its eye ripped out none of them had any reaction their mood had already been ruined.

Kaz although surprised by his beast losing an eye just sat there smiling smugly while looking at Lako.

"Even with them teaching that human bloodlust he's still going to die, he can keep running around all he wants"

....

The mantis didn't immediately attack Azreal it just stared at him.

Creak!

Hearing the sound while keeping a close eye on the mantis Azreal tried to find the source, it seemed like it was coming from the back of the mantis and it's back was even vibrating a little.

'What is it doing?...wait don't Mantis have-'

Just as the thought crossed Azreal's mind a pair of transparent wings slowly rose from its back vibrating a little, as the flapping wings rose from its back so too did its body rose from the ground.

Seeing this Azreal didn't know if he should laugh or cry just it's front legs alone was so hard to deal with and now it was gonna start flying?

"You've got to be fucking kidding me right?"

By now Azreal was standing up, his face completely stoic.

Even though he hadn't healed his wounds he used his divine energy to slow down his bleeding he still wasn't willing to heal it.

Wooossh!

In a split second the flying mantis had covered more than half the distance between them but just the same Azreal didn't waste a second activating bloodlust increasing the distance between them.

Azreal really didn't want to use Divine Energy but no matter how hard he thought about it there was no other choice.

According to Kakar, this whole competition would go on for two more days, tomorrow there would be one on one battle to decide who would move on to day three but since there was an uneven about of participants one would automatically be promoted to the final.

The master would come together and vote and whichever participant had the most votes would move on without fighting and deep down inside Azreal knew he wasn't that blessed.

The mantis refused to give Azreal any room to think or breathe, whether it's through its relentless pursuit or just the expanding and contracting of its exoskeleton that made it hard for Azreal to take a break.

"Ughhh fuck it!"

The moment Azreal said that his entire body went up in purple flames only this time in the heart of the fire there was now a bit of red mixed in.

Even If Azreal had been given time he would've lost the match one way or another, since he refused to heal the wound his body was still losing blood then added to the fact that he's using bloodlust and jumping around the cage none stop, the only reason why he's even standing was because he slowed down the bleeding.

"Come here you oversized cockroach"

The moment the word cockroach entered the mantis' ear it flew into a rage.

ROOOAAAAAARRR

...

During the time when Azreal was just jumping up and down around the ring most of the masters had found something else to look at.

And what they decided on was a ring with a slightly larger than usual wolf, a humanoid elephant not much taller than three meters and a humanoid ratel.

"Wow, that wolf…..why isn't it using its humanoid form?"

"It can't...no matter how hard I tried it just remained in that form but if that was a problem I wouldn't have brought it here"

In the cage, the elephant and the Ratel stood opposite the wolf. Both of them had wordlessly entered into an alliance, the fight hadn't started as yet but just making eye contact with the wolf made their hairs stand on end.

Meanwhile, the wolf stood opposite to them seemly looking down on them.

Grrrrr

Slowly the wolf moved walked towards them and they both subconsciously took two steps, realizing their mistake them looked at each other seemly silently formulating some kind of plan.

Both of them ran off them their position deciding to flank the wolf from opposite directions but still the wolf paid them no mind, it just kept walking forward.

Seeing the otter disregard the wolf had for them both of them sped up deciding to slam the wolf full force.

Boom!

Craackkk

Just as they were about to come in contact with the wolf its body turned slightly illusory and it vanished but the couldn't stop themselves so they rammed into each other head-on, most of the bones in both their arms had practically shattered on impact.

In retrospect, that idea might not have been the best but the moment they all woke up they felt nothing but fear from the wolf so to them the best way to get rid of that fear was to crush it completely.

Grrrrr!

Before the elephant could turn around had already sunk down its fangs into its neck while using its claws to rip into its skin.

"Aaaarrrrgggghhh!!"

In spite of the pain it was feeling the elephant refused to be stopped especially by a creature that was even half its size.

When the elephant tried to stand up and grab a hold of it the wolf seemly got angrier and with a strength that should be possible for a creature its size the wolf sunk its fangs even deeper into its neck and stared tossing its body around like a dog with a children's toy.

Watching this happen the crowd cheered while some of the masters looked on curiously while some showed anger.

But the wolf didn't waste any time after ripping out the elephant's throat it immediately pounced on the ratel.

As the crowd watched out they kept cheering the more blood they saw the happier they became.
