Sophie suddenly said "I never thanked you for saving me the other day. Thank you sir".
Chris was surprised, amazed, shocked, happy, he just froze looking at Sophie straight in the eyes, he face was emotionless. Mrs. John and Sophie were all surprised by his reaction. He was absent until Sophie called his name almost five times.
Sir, sir, sir, sir, sir are you ok; Sophie asked looking concerned.
Um, oh Sorry. Congratulations on your recovery and am so happy for you; Chris answered still emotionless.
"Hmm, why the sudden change? or maybe he is still shocked about it?"; Mrs. John wondered.
I hope all is fine sir; Sophie asked still looking concerned.
No its ok, well now that you are healed, am thinking of myself, i have to go back to the office after almost a month; Chris answered as he stood up from Sophie's bed and walked towards the door.
Oh, ok goodluck sir. I will also resume soon; Sophie asked as she smiled.
Yea sure but take your time before you do. And i have paid all the hospital bills; he replied as left the room.
Mrs. John was just watching there conversation like its a movie, she is still amazed by Chris's sudden change, he was so different. His smiles left, his face lost its glare and he was just looking dull.
As he went to the car pack, he stood and talked to his self.
"Now that she is fine, i don't have to worry anymore. My conscious is now clear, i have paid for what i cost her. So now we are even, she isn't my problem anymore."; He thought to his self and drove to the office.

As he arrived at the company, all the staffs started greeting Chris like they have never seen him before. He went to his office and asked Mr. Wong to bring him the office report for the past month.
Am sorry but master John came to the office and took it; Mr. Wong answered.
Ok thank you Mr. Wong; Chris said as he turned his swivel chair around to face the window behind him.
Young master, do you need anything?; Mr. Wong asked with a cold voice.
No, thank you. You may leave now; Chris replied without turning to look at him.
Mr. Wong left the office in cold fashion. Chris stayed at the office going through all the files that was left for him to sign. He worked till 10pm, Before he went straight home. He didn't bother to check on Sophie, but Sophie and her mother were both worried why he didn't come today. They thought something happened, but they just said maybe he was busy because he resumed after a month so he is bound to be busy.

Its been almost two weeks since Sophie last saw or heard from Chris, she was finally discharged from the hospital. So she decided to call Chris to inform him, but when she called, their conversation was too formal. Chris was having breakfast while reviewing some documents in his room when his phone rang.
Hello; Chris answered the call with a cold voice.
Morning sir, its Sophie. I just want to inform you that i have been discharged from the hospital and that i wish to resume work soon; Sophie answered with a suspicious feeling.
Ok that's good, call me when you want to start working, i will assign a driver to you; Chris replied with a formal feel to his voice.
O...Ok thank you sir, i appreciate it; Sophie said as she hung up the phone.
"Hmm i hope i didn't do anything to get him angry"; She mumbled to herself.
She wondered what happened, what she did, why he changed, why is he suddenly formal with her. Chris didn't know but Sophie generated feelings for him during there one month together at the hospital. And for that reason she want to go back to work so she can see him again.
