As Sophie opened the door, she saw Chris laying down on the floor facing the celling. She dropped everything in her hands and ran to him while calling his name repeatedly, his body was very hot like a fireball. She helped him to get up and took him back to his room, she lay him on the bed and went to the kitchen to get a cold bowl of water.
She went to the living room to grab the medicines she bought and hurried back to his room, she went to his bathroom and took a small towel. She soaked the towel in the cold water and gently rub it on Chris's face down to his body, she kept doing it for about 1hr and then she noticed his temperature started to drop, she then stop using the towel.
She opened a small leather bag and took out a small box of tablets, because he is in no condition to swallow the tablet, she had to put it in a bottle cap and add some water on it. She waited until the tablet diluted into the water before she took it and poured it into Chris mouth, he tried to spit it out but she pressed his lips close which made him swallow the medicine. She went to the bathroom to get fresh cold water, she came back and continued to rub it on chest down to his abdomen, she kept doing it until she fell asleep.
Chris's fever lessened with time, he opened his eyes slowly and saw someone lying on his chest as they hugged him, it was a girl and because he didn't have any shirt on, he could feel the warmth of the her body on his chest. He was surprised, he didn't want to make any sudden movement because it seems she was sleeping, he slowly moved his body from under his chest and stood up. As he turned to see who it was, he froze..
"Sophie, what is she doing?, how did she know am here?"; he thought in his mind, before it came to his mind. He asked her to bring some document for him to sign. He tried to remember what happened to him, then it struck him. He was feeling dizzy and he had a headache when he woke up in the morning, he finished talking to Beatrix, then Sophie called, he told her to bring the documents to his house and he hung up. He then stood up to go get water from the fridge, that's when everything went dark until now.
He turned and looked at Sophie who was sleeping peacefully, he took the wet towel from her hand and pull the blanket and covered her up, as he turned to leave, he noticed something on the bedside drawer. He take it up to get a closer look, it was medication for fever.
"So she took care of me?"; he thought as he glanced at her again and smiled, he dropped back the medicine and left the room. He went to the living and sat on the couch, he looked up at the clock, it was 9pm. He turned to pick the T.V remote on a stool next to him then he saw some papers on the stool, he picked them up and checked.
This must the paper she was talking about; He murmured in a low tone as he checked them on by one, he went to the study room and began to check and sign the document. By the time he was done it was 12 midnight, he came back to the living room and lay heavily on couch, he began to sleep.
