"You sit down and relax boss. Leave this to me." said William to Derrick while looking at the myriad of soldiers rushing towards them.
"Got it, but remember we just need to escape, we are not powerful enough to defeat Luthor and his generals." replied Derrick.
William took out his rope dart, one noticeable difference between standard rope darts and Williams rope dart was that instead of a rope William had a sturdy metallic chain holding the darts together. He started walking towards the soldiers rushing towards him. There was a gap of about three or four hundred meters between the guards and William.
*ZAAAP* William disappeared from everyone's line of sight.
"Where did he go??" one of the guards exclaimed.
"Don't lose your focus. Keep looking around, he could attack at any moment." said one of the captains leading the troops.
*RUMBLE* *RUMBLE* *RUMBLE* sound of thunder rumbling started coming from the sky.
Suddenly, out of nowhere dark black clouds started appearing and spiraling in the sky. In mere moments the clear azure sky was covered with ominous black clouds, one could hear the voices of people wailing and screaming in pain and agony coming from these clouds.
Seeing this, many people were scared and agitated. Thus, they started running away from the town square in a chaotic manner. Some of the guards were also scared, but they held themselves together and stood their ground.
The sound of thunder rumbling in the clouds increased tremendously, the force due to the rumbling was so great that even the window panes of the nearby building started shaking and breaking creating chaos.
Small blue shimmers of Lightning started appearing in the clouds, a few moments later it started raining heavily, but there was something different about this rain, instead of water falling as rain, it was a downpour of a dark crimson colored substance.
"What is this?" one of the squad captains checked the substance by rubbing on his fingers, soon everyone present in the square was covered with the crimson-colored substance, the squad captain checking the substance licked one of his fingers to check the taste of the substance.
He spat out and thought 'It has a slight taste of blood, but it does not have the smell or viscosity of blood', just as he finished thinking, he felt as if his tongue was on fire, "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" he screamed in pain, moments later he fell on the ground and stopped moving, one of the guards rushed forward to check on him. What he saw terrified him, the captain's whole mouth and throat had melted.
He turned around and said: "H-H-H-he's dead!". One of the other captains realizing what was going on shouted "Everyone take cover, it is blood acid, don't let it touch your bare skin.", But it was too late, screams of pain and agony started coming from the myriad of guards, some were covering their faces, some were hugging their chests as they were melting slowly and painfully. Soon, they started falling lifeless on the ground. In mere moments, nearly half of the thousands of guards that had rushed over were reduced to nothing.
Suddenly a Bolt of blue colored lightning fell on the ground, as soon as the bolt fell, blood sprayed out from hundreds of guards as their heads toppled off and their bodies slumped on the ground.
"W-W-W-WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????" screamed one of the guards terrified of the scene in front of him.
"EEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" screams full of terror, pain, and agony started coming from all over the square, bodies started dropping at a phenomenal rate. Everytime a bolt fell, hundreds of guards died, it was a scene of utter annihilation, it was as if a god of death had descended and was unleashing its wrath on them.
The guards present started running away, they were utterly terrified and scared witless, they just wanted to run away from the square, some of them even started begging and praying, but it was all in vain, none of them were spared they were ripped apart, and their bodies fell as if they were ragdolls. Limbs were being tossed around, and blood was being splattered everywhere.
*ROOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR* a loud roar came from the ominous clouds. This time a large amount of lightning concentrated in the center of the clouds and a huge blue colored lightning streaked across the sky, it was large enough to cover the whole square, as soon as it started descending, one of the remaining squad captains shouted: open your shields and take cover, they will reduce the amount of damage you receive.", hearing this the survivors opened their shields and placed them on their head and gathered around each other.
But to their surprise, the blue streak instead of landing on the whole square, condensed and landed on the center of it, but instead of being just a flicker the bolt stood where it fell for a couple of seconds.
Just as the bolt was about to disappear, *GROWL* a ghastly growl resounded in the town square.
"What was that?" asked one of the guards. Just as he finished his sentence, a blade came out of the streak and pierced through his chest; the blade was so fast that no one even saw it coming. Blood gushed out from the guard's mouth, he looked down at his chest with his widened eyes, just as he looked down the blade was blood and the guard was cut in half, blood splattered everywhere from his stomach as his body fell down in two different parts.
Seeing this the remaining guards were horrified, they were terrified of the ghastly site in front of them. "Stand your ground!!!!" shouted one of the remaining squad captains.
Moments later the blue streak disappeared, but what was now present in front of them was even more terrifying than the blue streak. In front of them was a gigantic creature with dark blue skin, it had a mouth full of blood covered razor-sharp teeth and a tail and a pair of wings and two large, muscular humanoid hands which were drenched in blood, it had a muscular built, and was about 20 feet in length including its tail. It did not have any eyes and legs. It was holding a large chain scythe in its hands. One of the scythes was drenched in blood.

"ARMS UP!!!!!" shouted one of the squad captains.
The guards unsheathed their swords.
"MOVE IN!!!" shouted the same captain again.
"YEAHHHHHH!!!" nearly a thousand guards started rushing towards the creature.
*ROOOOAAAAARRRRRRR* the creature roared and snarled and then jumped towards the guard, the speed and power of the creature proved quite overwhelming for the guards to comprehend.
The creature cleaved through the guards as if they were butter, it grabbed guards with one its scythe and then smashed them on the ground turning them into a paste, then it jumped again and landed inside the formation of guards. It picked one of the guards by piercing its fingers in the guard's body and threw him away as if throwing a small rock away.
It then grabbed one of the guards and bit his head off, it then spat the head out and said in a ghastly tone "FOUL!".
*SNIFF* *SNIFF* it then started sniffing its surroundings, a terrifying grin appeared on its face as it whispered "D. I. E.", this terrified all of the guards and captains present nearby.
"Attack." shouted one of the captains.
The guards raised their weapons, but it was too late for many of them the creature spun around one of the scythes resulting in the death of many. It then grabbed the chains of the scythe and tossed it in the air, and then pulled it down, as it descended from the air with great speed it cleaved through one of the two remaining squad captains cutting him in half from head to toe, and then the scythe pierced the ground creating a noticeable crater.
The creature with a slight pull pulled out the scythe from the ground launching a lot of debris into the air, as the debris fell down many guards were crushed to death, and some were too injured to move.
"R-r-r-retreat!!!!" shouted the last remaining captain.
The last remaining forces dropped their weapons and started running away from the town square.
The creature seeing this grinned and threw its scythe towards the crowd running away, but this time, instead of cutting through them, the chain from the chain scythe wrapped itself around the guards that were running away. The hold of the chain was impossible to break through, the creature then started pulling the chain towards itself. It pulled the chain slowly as if allowing the guards to soak in the last moment of their lives.
After a few minutes of dragging around, the surviving guards were right in front of the ghastly creature.
"P-p-p-please let us go. We never did you any wrong, please just let us live." begged one of the survivors.
The creature let out a heavy breath and said in a ghastly voice "I will, of course, let you live.", hearing this the guards rejoices, "But only if you survive this." added the creature.
Its stomach then started making a gurgling sound, a few moments later it barfed out a large amount of blood acid aiming it at the survivors. The survivors then started screaming in pain as their flesh was slowly melting.
After a few minutes, all but one of the survivors were completely melted, the last remaining survivor only had his upper body and left arm a bit intact, rest of his body had melted away.
"You get to live." said the creature. It then turned around and started slowly slithering its way towards Derrick. It's formed then started shrinking, and slowly it took the shape of a man who held a rope dart in his hands. It was William.
The man then started dragging his body with the help of his remaining arm. After reaching a certain distance, a figure appeared in front of the man. "H-h-h-h-elp." whispered the man.
The figure in front him raised his foot and *SPLAT* crushed the man's head.
"We have no place for a weakling like you." said the figure.
"I have seen that you are quite fearsome, but are you powerful enough to face me?" said the man while walking towards Derrick and William. Powerful aura surged out from the man, blowing away the ominous clouds in the sky, returning it to previous clear and azure state.
"Now, now. What do we have here." Said, Derrick, as he got up excitedly.
"I was not expecting one of the great generals of Lassnia to rush over for greeting us, this does make things a bit troublesome." exclaimed Derrick.
"Get ready Will, we are in for a tough one." said Derrick while placing his hands on the hilts of his katanas.
