By now the two of them should have met each other. Asuka opened her eyes and gets up. She walked over to the balcony that overlooked the town. As of late, she's only been allowed to stay at home. It's not like Hisame to restrict her so much, so she can pretty much guess who did this. That idiot. He really has no shame at all. However, he's the person she's in love with. She still doesn't know how to go about divorcing Hisame, and when she does. She has to tell those two the truth. Kiryu's a smart boy, so he's probably picked up on it already. He's probably just waiting for her confirmation.
It's Akari that she's worried about, that girl will blame herself even further. That's why up until now she hasn't dared to tell the children the truth. But they are both grown up now. They are both searching for their path and working towards their goal more earnestly than before. Unlike when they were both confused and simply wandering, the two have grown a lot stronger. The reason being, not due to anything she did for them but because of that girl.
Seeing that stage, it reminded her of the past. No, that girl is different from her mother. It's different from the miracle Sumire created before. Lila-chan is clearly different, so she doesn't know how this will end up.
Asuka wondered, what sort of future those two will create?
Will they be able to overcome this obstacle?
Or will it break them?
This test, as cruel as it may be has to be done.
For now, she will grant them this short time to calm their turbulent hearts.

Kiryu watched as she scrambles off and runs his hand through his silver locks; indeed, she really is something. His gaze caught a glimpse of her phone and spotted the charm. Though she was using that before, it wasn't in a visible place; now it is. He wondered, exactly how close did she get with Karashima?
