Such a gentleness, such kindness. Lila didn't know how to feel. But one thing was for sure, right now she couldn't look him in the eye.

Lila couldn't say anything. Quite some time has passed since somebody kissed her so gently. She felt very embarrassed.
\"What's wrong Lil-\"
\"H--hold on,\" Lila pulled away from him. She turned away and crouched down onto the ground. Her heartbeat kept beating louder and louder.
\"Are you perhaps embarrassed?\" Kiryu mumbled.

Kiryu looked at her with a gentle expression. He also crouched down, and brushed their forehead together. \"I only wanted to reassure you. Sorry if I went overboard.\"
\"Kiryu, I didn't know you could kiss like that.\" Lila mumbled.
\"Huh? Oh, well I guess.\" Kiryu nodded. \"I didn't kiss you like that before?\"
She shook her head. She would remember something like that wouldn't she?
\"Sorry to scare you,\" Kiryu apologized again.

Huh? Lila looked at him puzzled but it was already too late. Kiryu was kissing her again. The same gentleness as before but it was slightly more passionate.

\"I know,\" Lila mumbled, \"I mean, how can I not? You told me repeatedly already...rather since this morning, you have told me a thousand times.\"
\"It's good to know your keeping track.\"

Kiryu replied gently. \"Well, even if you don't notice. I will repeat it until you understand.\"
Lila's cheeks reddened. \"You're a pervert.\"
\"So hey, can I do that again?\"
Lila immediately covered her mouth. \"O--f course you can't.\"

Why is he even asking something like that? They obviously can't. Maybe he enjoys seeing her flustered. But wait Kiryu isn't a weirdo like Haruka. Then again, even if it's Kiryu. He is still a normal high school guy.
Kiryu ran his hands through his silver locks. \"I got a bit worked up kissing you, maybe I should take a shower.\"

Lila nodded and he stood up. He extended his hand out, and helped her up.
'His cheeks look red.' Oh, his ears are red too. Was he that embarrassed kissing her? To think Kiryu can still make her feel such strange emotions. It seems like she needs closure after all.

Lila awkwardly followed Kiryu out of the building. She made sure she wasn't standing too closely. After what happened, Lila didn't know what else he would do. Kiryu is a gentleman yes. But he seems to enjoy kissing her a lot. How many times has he kissed her since she came back? She already lost count.
'At least he tries to be a gentleman about it.' Before she married Haruka. Lila couldn't forget the times he forcibly kissed her. Not exactly force, he asked for permission. But he was very brash about it. On the other hand Kiryu always apologizes whenever he does it.
\"Is it really okay for you to be missing so much school?\" Lila
Although his injuries had healed already, Lila noticed that Kiryu wasn't returning to school. Quite some time has passed since Eita-san instructed her, Kiryu and Haruka to stay in the hospital. Lila tried to listen to those instructions. But it was very difficult. The apartment is closer than the hospital. So when she is tired from a long day of work, going home is quicker than returning to the hospital.
Her condition is the same as ever. So Lila didn't see the need to go. But, she ought to be more careful. There are times where it feels like she can't breath. Then again, 'isn't that normal already?' The feeling of not being able to breathe. It's already something normal.
The more time that passes by the more Lila realised how much closer they were to summer. It's almost April, almost a year since she started her journey. In the past year, she has learned a lot. She has met a lot of people and experienced many things. Her gaze fell on the man walking a few steps ahead of her.
'One thing that hasn't changed is Kiryu.' Even now he is still by her side. But how much longer? She can't expect Kiryu to be there for her forever.
\"It's fine actually. The school gave me permission for time of. I don't know whether they believed the rumours or not but clearly I'm quote ' undergoing difficult times right now' which means I'm pretty much free to do what I want,\" he explained.
Its not as if she disliked his company. No in fact if possible she wanted these moments with him to last forever. But, 'that thought of hers is so very selfish.' Even though she was fine earlier. It seemed like her sudden emotional outburst caused her body problems.
Her completion hasn't been looking good recently either. She has to be more careful. Her thoughts broke off when she felt Kiryu reaches over and placed his hand on her forehead.
\"Are you feeling alright?\"
Lila smiles, \"You've been worrying quite the bit I see. That gets you bonus points.\"
\"Lila, maybe you should---\"
The sound of her phone ringing interrupted them. Her gaze landed on the screen for a few minutes. \"Is it Haruka?\" Kiryu asked.
Lila blinked, \"No, it's mother...\"
\"Ah Lila-chan? Where are you right now?\"
\"I'm at HYOU4's headquarters with Kiryu, were leaving the grounds.\"
\"Perfect timing, please head home.\"

Eh? Her eyes widened when she hears those words. Mother found him?
\"You see Lila-chan, I saw him when I was on my way back. He was loitering around the forest near our home. He looked like he was suffering a lot so I knocked him out and brought him inside.\"
Her sweat fell when she heard that. Oh mother, it seems like that part of her hasn't change. \"I will head right over. What's wrong with him?\" Lila felt more assured knowing that Haruka was with mother.
\"He was drugged quite heavily. It's the upgraded version of that drug from before. The hallucination side affects are awful.\"
'Upgraded from that drug before?' The previous drug mother mentioned is the drug that lead to Haruka cheating on her with Rikka-san. Lila recalled the sight from earlier before they parted ways. She felt her gaze turn cold. \"Was, was there anything different about him?\"
