First, it was the rocks that weren't touched by the Lava and soon almost 1/3 of the room was turned into multiply layers of ice clashing with the heat...
Seeing he had managed to gain his foothold, he pumped more magic as he placed his hands closer and then moved them forward...
Gray : Ice Make Magic!!! Missiles!!!
He started launching countless missiles here and there as they fell on the Lava rapidly even though they went out with sizzling sounds before small explosions happened at their spot but he didn't care...
He kept firing and firing, while Levy watched him and tried to analyse what he wanted to do, soon enough at the edges of the Lava a new bedrock started forming as at that point it started cooling down...
Soon the area was half Ice and half Lava but with the constant barrage from Gray, he started winning over and slowly managing to get attacks on Levy...
Gray : Ice-Make Magic!!! Geyser!!!
Gray used both his hands as he pumped all the magic he had gained slowly and created a single tower of ice spikes that was comparable to 30 meters upwards and 20 in diameter trapping Levy inside.
Levy : Uggnn...
Gray : Goddam it that was powerful!!
Ur : Little Levy has grown up... Is she was facing the examiners perhaps she would have passed...

Just as she turned to speak and speak to Gray they heard the Ice shatter from trapping Levy and when they looked at the one who released her they were shocked once again...

They had seen him having a grey like silver colour when using his Iron skillset, however, when he used his evolved version he gained somehow by eating something in the Phantom Lord's attack his body had changed...
He had a light-dark grey coloured skin all over his body but now his body was glowing with a silver colour all over his body...
He had managed without his knowledge to unlock another type of power-up through metals...
Gajeel : Gege, shall we continue??

Not waisting for them to answer he started his assault towards them with the most signature attacks of a slayer his breath...
Gray : Ice-Make Magic!!! Shield!!!
Gray hurridly created a shield and when the two clashed, Gajeel's breath melts the exact spot it hitted and passed through leaving behind a gaping hole in the shield...
Gray, noticing this ducked down as the attacked passed above him and watched at it didn't stop until it hits the walls on the area before it dissipated...
Seeing his powers now, even he himself was stunned and finally looked at his hands and the rest of his body to see that he wasn't in his Steel Form but a new one...
