It was so thick an unlike anything they had felt before, they could feel their breath stopping between their lungs and their mouth.
"Let go of me!" Norris seemed like he couldn't bear it any longer and forcefully remove his hand from Ed's clutches. Ed had grabbed him so hard there were still finger bruises on his wrists.
"How dare you?!" Norris seemed enraged and drew his sword.
Ed could see that things would escalate fast and also summoned his Shusui. The moment the blade was taken out of its sheath, people could feel its lust for battle. People stepped back and maintained a safe distance from Ed; he was just too scary for now. Even Emilia and Hayato seemed like they couldn't believe who Ed was at this moment.
Suddenly Norris lunged forward and slashed at Ed, who easily intercepted his attack and pushed him away making him smash against a wall. It seemed like he forgot he had to lay low according to his plans due to his anger from Norris' threat. Some people couldn't believe what had just happened; the beast woman was one of them. She had 'fought' against Ed before and in her eyes, he was just a weakling, yet now he handled someone from A class with ease. Norris' results were enough to make him at the top of the academy so he was considered to be very powerful.
"You bastard! It seems you want to die!" Norris emerged from the smoke and pounced at Ed seemingly wanting to kill him. Ed was prepared and was about to fatally injure him, people like this never learn and would pursue Ed for all of his academy life.
When the two were about to clash once more a figure darted from afar and got in between them. Ed noticed this and stopped his sword while Norris didn't seem to care, or just didn't notice and slashed his sword. The figure caught the sword and pushed Norris back.
"That's enough from the both of you" It was Harry Ed's teacher. Ed knew this man was powerful so he wasn't surprised while many students from E class had some doubts about him. These doubts were almost all cleared away because of this incident.
"Students cannot fight without any authorization. You can engage in duels that are overseen by teachers or just wait for the school tournament to fight to your heart's content" Harry suddenly introduced some new elements of the academy to Ed and Norris, as well as the surrounding students.
"You're lucky you were saved, failed prince" Norris's hate for Ed kept increasing every time they met. Ed's patience towards him was also reaching his limit and he would probably end up causing a war between their countries since he would probably kill him in case he tries to hurt one of his friends again.
Ed continued his meal in silence while Emilia and Hayato did not mention anything while eating. After finishing Ed suggested with a smile that they head back to classes. Seeing his smile made the other three feel relieved and chatted up again with him as if nothing had happened.
The afternoon classes were more theory classes and a physical class. The physical class this time only had some running; however, it was running across the entirety of the academy which made almost everyone drop to their knees.
After the classes were done the group of four headed to get some food once more, thankfully the morning's incident didn't repeat itself and Ed returned to his place with Suika. There he decided to rest for about an hour before heading out to the training room. Ed wanted to train his new monsters so he recalled Suika and got Raikou to overlook the training.
Ed summoned his three monsters who were now equipped with swords and started their training. Ed summoned his three swords and equipped them as well; he put Shusui in his mouth, Ame-No-Murakumo in his left and Muramasa in his right. It was Ed's first time using the Three-sword style.
"All three of you come at once. It's time to train" Ed's monsters had no combat experience since they were never out before. Ed decided it would be best to train them himself since his experience with swords could be said to be the best in this country.
The three monsters followed Ed's orders and attacked him, they all slashed at different places but Ed could easily read their movements without using any skills and blocked all three swords. The monsters were surprised and seemed like their pride suddenly moved them as they exerted more strength.
They kept slashing at Ed and every time it looked sharper and stronger, their evolution played a big role in this as they were smarter than usual monsters and their capability to learn was much higher. Ed was satisfied with their improvement since at one point they almost injured him, although he wasn't using his maximum abilities it was still a praiseworthy achievement for him.
After a while, they were exhausted and couldn't move anymore so Ed treated them to some food he had cooked before which they enjoyed a lot. Especially the Kobold, who seemed to enjoy meat more than the others. After they ate, Ed recalled them and summoned Suika. He got her to train her poison attack from a range while he sparred with Raikou.
Raikou could feel that Ed had gotten stronger once more and especially the threatening feeling he got from his three swords. The two went at it as usual with Ed using ranged magic slashes and Raikou countering with his speed and magic fireballs. This time Ed cornered Raikou by using a tornado that was strengthened with Ame-No-Murakumo and Shusui. Raikou got kind of annoyed of this and activated his lightning mode and the two kept going at it for about two hours.
After they were done, they cleaned up the place and left to sleep along with Suika. His next day would probably be more tiring was what Ed kept feeling as he was trying to sleep.
