Li Ming Yue is very happy with what the emperor has rewarded him but..." Thank you very much, great emperor for the generous rewards that you have given me but I can only accept the golds and the silvers that you will give me since it will help a lot of my men, instead of the ten acres of land can I just ask for another thing in exchange of it?"
The emperor frowned, "what is it supposed to be in exchange of the land? I will grant you whatever it is as long as I the emperor can give it to you?"
"I want a betrothal edict." Li Ming Yue responded.
The emperor didn't respond right away for he was thinking for a while.
Li Xian Xi, on the other hand, told the emperor that his informant told him that at the foot of the Mount Zhangduo, thugs are making a chaos in the small village situated there. Farmers are being robbed grains and livestock by those heartless thugs. Young Women were taken away by those people and were sold to the far away city to be prostitutes to the brothels.
The emperor's face darkened from what he has heard from the Old Li's report.
The emperor sighed and said " I will grant you the betrothal edict and still give you the ten acres of land as promised, but I will have to send you to another mission, to go to foot of mount Zangduo, to investigate and rescue those women who were taken by those thugs and to arrest those who doing evil in that small remote village. We should definitely help them. if you wish to be married I can only say right afteer the mission."
Li Ming Yue on his standpoint cannot accept that he will have to marry her after the mission. He wanted her to take to his estate and if he will leave her at least he knows that he will leave her to people and place he trusted the most. And so, he looked at his father with eyes begging to speak for him too.
Li Xian Xi understood right away what his son is about to say so, he said "great emperor, I understand what you wanted my son to do but can this old man of this son ask a favor from the great emperor"?
"Hm" the emperor replied.
"My son will not be at ease to go to another mission if he will not get married with the woman he loves. So, why not send him to the foot of Mount Zhangduo right after the wedding. If you can grant the betrothal edict as soon as you can, he can leave right after the wedding". Li xian xi looked back at his son, trying to say in silence to accept it and be happy with it. Li Ming Yue closed his eyes and nod to his father meaning he is accepting it.
"Well, let's do it then. I will make the imperial betrothal edict now and you can take it with you. Congratulations on your wedding General. I wish you happiness and as a gift I will add up fifteen acres of land to your estate and ten thousand gold nuggets." the emperor announced.
