Nine caught the faint tremble in Mildred's body, as if she already knew what was going to happen. Nine didn't like to do this often. Not because she didn't enjoy it, no, but because she was afraid that she would go too far and lose herself on this dark path.

Where before she might have happily walked down the path on her lonesome, she now had people that were dear to her, that she didn't want to see the darker sides of her personality. Though she knew that they wouldn't begrudge her anything, knowing about it logically and thinking about it emotionally were different things.

So, yes, Nine would enjoy this immensely, but she would make sure to keep herself in check.

The temperature in the room dropped, and the Elf couldn't help but shiver. She tried to clench her hand to give her more support, but her hands had been tied in such a way that she could hardly move them at all. The best she could do was twitch.

Nine pulled out a surgical table from within her interspatial ring. This was the first time that she was glad she had prepared for everything. Setting the table on the floor to prevent it from moving, Nine pulled out a set of interrogation tool from within, sharpening and cleaning everything before they began.

The tremble in Mildred's body was more eminent now. The Elf tried to hide her terror. She never wanted this. She just wanted to cleanse the world of sins! Why? She had not done anything that should have warranted this sort of reaction.

The way that human – that being – cleaned the set of interrogation tools, Mildred already knew that the other had done this before. In fact, the stunning being in front of her could be an expert. Why else would everyone else leave the room, leaving only herself and this man?

The more she thought, the more Mildred sank into the terror of being tortured. She had hoped for a quick and painless end, not endless suffering and torture.

When Nine hauled her up onto the table, Mildred's faint tremble became a full body flinch as she tried her best to get out of Nine's hands.

Nine let out a laugh. For all her earlier fearlessness, the Elf now was plenty terrified of her already, and she hadn't even started.

The Elf was so terrified that she never noticed how Nine had cut the ropes on her legs to move her to the table. Within a split second from when they were free, her legs had been cuffed down. It was only when her hands were untied that she reflexively lashed out, realizing that this would likely be her last chance.

Nine caught the fists sent her way without a lick of effort. After turning into a Vampire, her reflexes were already off the charts. Only other Vampires would be able to properly match her blow for blow in a spar or fight, let alone an Elf which preferred using magic to take care of problems rather than use their body.

As Nine finished securing her interrogation partner, the Elf found out that to her despair, she still couldn't call up her magic. On the verge of a break down, Mildred's last strand of resistance gave out. Tearing, the Elf directed watery blue eyes at Nine.

"Please, I'll tell you anything you want, just kill me quickly."

Nine was slightly surprised but didn't let it show on her face. "Oh?" she said lightly, smiling down at the distraught Elf. "And how will I know that you aren't lying to me?"

Mildred shook. Just from those words alone, she knew that there was no way she would get out of this. Now crying heavily, the Elf couldn't even get another word out as Nine picked up a scalpel.

The glint of the scalpel shone in the light, piercing through Mildred's rapidly deteriorating mental state. Shivering on the cold metal table, Mildred stared fearfully at Nine's peaceful looking expression.

Nine's eyes glinted. There was something that she had been wanting to test out for the longest time. Unfortunately, she was not willing to use it on those who were close to her, and there had been no enemies that she wanted to use it on.

Reaching within her, Nine lightly unfurled the magic that had been keep so close to her chest. Though she couldn't get rid of it completely, most of the effects had been negated after those around her got used to it.

The 'Charm' that was so unique to the Vampire race had manifested extremely strongly in her, and she had been worried about the extent of which it played with people's minds. In here, there was only herself and this Elf, so she would be able to use it to its fullest.

Instantly, the atmosphere in the room changed. Mildred's tears stopped almost as abruptly as they began. She couldn't help but stare at the being in front of her.

Human or not, did it matter? What did it matter this godly looking person in front of her was? Just their presence alone was able to stem her fears. Mildred felt like the more she looked, the more entranced she became. She could not move her sight away, nor could she think any other thoughts.

Her entire mind was filled with Nine's being. Slowly, without her realizing it, her resentful and terrified gaze changed, leaving only an awestruck and worshipful expression. Even when the Elf looked at the dangerous scalpel in Nine's hands, she didn't look like she rejected it at all. In fact, Mildred looked like she would gladly welcome the damage to her body as long as it came from Nine's hands.

Nine watched the change happen in front of her over a period of time, her eyes glinting curiously. Just how far did this 'Charm' of hers work? Would it be dispelled with pain?

Smiling, Nine watched the Elf's eyes follow her every movement. Even when her clothes were vanished, Mildred did not utter a single complaint. Within her eyes was an expression full of acceptance and happiness.

Nine lightly cut into the Elf's flesh, watching her expression all this while. Mildred gave a soft gasp, but her eyes remained dreamy and worshipful. She had definitely registered the pain, but she was still under Nine's Charm, and made no move to resist.

Completely intrigued, Nine continued with her ministrations, peeling flesh away from skin layer by layer. Blood flowed like a river, and Nine watched the beautifully tinted red blood run down the Elf's body.

Though Mildred was in agonizing pain, when she looked at this divine being's face, she felt like she could undergo any tribulation and suffering to be able to look upon this person just a moment longer.

Steadily, Nine's ministrations got worse and more painful. She played with the nerves in Mildred's hands, which was one of the more delicately packed regions. Even as Mildred's hands spasmed, the Elf continued looking up at Nine with a giddy smile.

The Elf felt like she had been living for this moment. She didn't realize how empty she had been earlier. How could she ever have gone on in life without knowing this divine being in front of her? The worshipful feelings she had for this being made her feel light and blessed. Gladly, the Elf gave up her pain for the being's pleasure.

Nine hummed, stopping at last. She wasn't enjoying this at all. Usually her victims screamed and flailed, which was the main part of them satisfying her sadistic tendencies, but since Mildred didn't do anything more than gasp and lay pliantly on the table, Nine felt slightly bad.

She felt like she was cutting into an innocent person instead of the heinous criminal that the Elf should have been instead. Nine wondered if testing out her Charm beforehand was a bad idea. For some reason, it just didn't feel right with how willingly the other offered up her pain.

The Vampire retracted her Charm, but the gaze in the Elf's eyes didn't change, causing Nine to frown and lightly furrow her brows.

It was at this moment when the System's unwelcome chime echoed in her ears. Almost mockingly, the familiar interface lit up.
