Nine prodded her mini-me Elemental, smiling slightly as she squeaked. By now, she had already realized that Anya had no idea what she was doing in terms of her abilities. In fact, it seemed more like she was just randomly using it whenever her emotions got the best of her, which was not good for a normal person, and absolutely terrible for an Elemental.

Just as she was teaching Anya how to reign in her emotions, a flash of blue appeared before her. The blue swirl widened as another Elemental stepped through. Nine's eyes opened slightly wider as she felt the connection between her body and the Elemental before her.

This had to be the High Water Elemental that had given her the blessing earlier when she first appeared in this world. It was a high class blessing that the Elementals hardly ever gave out because of how it could be misused in the wrong hands.

She had not realized how great of a benefit she had received earlier on. In fact, one could say that she would not have progressed as quickly without the help of the blessing given to her. She had been able to compare the different ways that the magic reacted with and without the blessing.

Nine bowed low to the High Water Elemental out of gratitude, and received a trill in return, the Water Elemental conveying her joy and happiness. Before she could react, the Water Elemental gestured towards Anya and whisked her away, a touch of water caressing Nine's face, as if telling her not to worry.

She could feel that Anya had been taken for further training, which surprised her. Then again, this was the High Water Elemental's territory, and nothing that happened within this territory would escape the Elemental's eyes.

Luckily, she had been left a clue by Anya's magical signature before they bonded, and with Nocturne's help, they were able to track down all of the surging signatures.

Both of them thought that this was likely happening near the Elves' hideout.

Located on the Night Tide continent, in a forest near Morhtil, where the Vampire King himself stayed foMr long stretches of time, there were various darkness and light elements that were mixing together in a strange, unnatural way, and it only led to Nine solidifying her beliefs that the Elves were in it alone.

Nine, Deltan and Nocturne hadn't exactly been lowkey whilst they were travelling the Night Tide continent earlier with Seyton, and she had always been waiting for their troubles to explode back in their faces.

What surprised her was how no one came to find trouble with them. It had been distinctly unnatural, with how high Vampires prided themselves. With three new Vampires and an older Duke who was well-known but not influential, it should have been easy to seek revenge, but none ever came.

Either one, someone was supressing them from higher up because there was something that they could do for them, or two, someone had been taking care of all their troubles for them out of goodwill.

Guess which one was more likely?

The person who was 'taking care' of their troubles likely had use for them and knew where they came from. They hadn't been discreet about where they came from. Nine had been waiting for someone to come and indoctrinate them to their cause or kill them secretly or overtly.

Why would someone let four powerful Vampires roam around without anything to stop them in their own home?

If Nine had to say, either the Vampire King or one of the Royals had betrayed him, selling him out to the Elves. She didn't know what kinds of black rituals the Elves had access to, but she knew that there was something that could basically control their every waking moment.

That particular black ritual involved sacrificing the lives of two kin who were related by blood, a hundred virgins below the age of twelve, ten Magic Beasts of around Tier Six or higher, and a drop of blood from the person themselves.

Let Nine remind you how seriously blood was taken on this world. There were so many applications of using blood, and they were each very serious. It was because blood was the medium to magic, and magic made a person.

The most heinous ways that blood could be used was in dark rituals like this, which involved sacrifice and death. The results were always almost catastrophic.

As she was thinking she received a message on her bracelet that Deltan sent her.

"Going to Morhil. Suspicious activity sighted. Mephisto heading there as well."

Instantly, Nine shot out of the room, alarmed. The person behind Darkness Uprising was making their move. It wouldn't be so coincidental that 'suspicious activity' was sighted. This was basically the apocalypse. Everywhere should be suspicious!

"Nocturne! We're heading to Morhil as well," Nine said, grabbing her bewildered wife, who rapidly regained his calm.

"Alright. I don't need to pack anything anyway," he said, leaving himself in Nine's hands. "Why are we going there now? Didn't we agree to wait until the rest came back before we set off?"

Nine nodded. "I received a message from Deltan saying that they saw some suspicious activity in Morhil, so they're heading there. We have no more time to lose. Mephisto is heading in that direction as well."

"What?" Nocturne said, alarmed. "Guess whoever the mastermind of this whole debacle is finally making their move."

Nine rapidly made preparations in the form of giving out missions to the Undyings, leaving the city's main defences for them to keep up with the Cosmians.

Before five minutes were up, various Undyings in the city stood up as their eyes glittered. It was finally their time to shine.

The Undyings included Valerius and Zenith, who had just logged in.

Valerius patted his back, praising himself for good luck. A minute later and they would have missed it!

As Nine finished all her preparations, Nine and Nocturne left through teleport hand in hand.

She teleported the two of them to Morhil just in time to see Mephisto crash through the city gates.

Looking at the trail of destruction left behind, Nine coughed, hiding her laughter.

City Morhil had still been in pristine condition before Mephisto's arrival, standing tall and firm, but her familiar rapidly changed that.

"Mephisto should be safe for now. Let me summon Rainier as well."

Rainier appeared before her, wrapping himself around her and blending in. He refused to budge from his position no matter what Nine said, hiding himself.

Nine hid her smile and took Nocturne's hand into her own, kissing his knuckles. "Shall we, my lady?"

Nocturne pinked at her sudden flirting. "We shall, my lord."

Both Vampires walked in like they did nothing wrong, two stunning figures side by side.

The Vampires and humans that had been staring at them subconsciously parted way for them and were left staring at their backs.

"Hey, who's that?"

"I don't know," the other Vampire shrugged. "But they sure have class."

The first Vampire nodded. "That they do."
