One moment Yoona was trying to talk to Minhyun and the next she was lying in bed with him. Her eyes were wide open, unable to close.

Somehow, after he asked her to sleep in bed with him, her brain completely shut down. The question caught her off-guard and she didn't know how to speak. His words were easy to misinterpret upon first hearing. So she had to back-track to understand what he was trying to say. By his physical condition it was clear he meant just sleeping side by side.

She wasn't necessarily against the idea because she did like him. But they just had their first kiss yesterday!

Yet, without her realizing, she found herself trapped in his arms. The sound of his soft breath orchestrated the silence, fanning against her ear. The heat of his body brought her warmth and the weight of his arm arose a sense of safety.

Before she could protest, Minhyun had already fallen asleep and she had no way of escaping. His body was too latched onto hers and no movement could be made.

With her right hand, Yoona tried to lift his arm slightly, however, the slight movement made him waver. He gently moved his back, letting out a soft groan.

She didn't want to wake him up for she knew how tired he was.

Therefore, giving up on her escape, she tried her best to fall asleep.

---

Yoona could not fall asleep.

No matter how hard she tried, the sound of her beating heart kept her awake. Being in the same bed with him was a lot more intimate than she thought. The fact that both of them were close enough to expose their most vulnerable states was another level in their relationship.

The nap she took during the day also contributed greatly to her dilemma as the tiredness disappeared from her body. What was she supposed to do!

Since her eyes were accustomed to the darkness, she could see that the time was nearing four o'clock in the morning. Oh god. It was so late yet her mind was functioning as if it was the afternoon. How do you sleep again? Count sheep? It had been a while since she had trouble with slumber.

While debating on her next plan of action, she took a quick glance at Minhyun's face. All her thoughts were forgotten and she couldn't help but examine him. A smile entered her lips. Seeing him so calm evoked happiness within her. The stress he latched onto throughout the day disappeared, revealing a normal man. She gently placed her hand against his soft cheek. He looked quite adorable. Innocence ringing from his expressions.

She was really lucky to have him. After all, he was the most sought-out bachelor in Korea. The fact that she was even living with him was considered an honor.

Handsome. Tall. Rich. Smart. Those were all characteristics that made him so desirable in the public eye. Those were all great and Yoona was grateful that he was blessed in such areas, but the greatest part about Minhyun was his heart.

The fact that he treasured her like no other.

While Yoona was smiling to herself, drowning in her thoughts, Minhyun's eyebrows furrowed and he began to stir. His arm flew to the other side, releasing Yoona from his clutches. He turned to the other side, his body curling up in a protective stance.

Yoona pursed her lips. Something was wrong.

Her upper body stood up and she leaned to get a closer look. The sight of cold sweat made her freeze.

Was he okay?

"S-s-stop," he mumbled. "D-don't..."

Yoona didn't know what to do. Her hands moved in all directions, trying to find their purpose. Clearly he was experiencing a nightmare. Should she wake him up or leave him alone?

"Don't kill me." A barely audible whisper, yet in the silence, each word was clear.

Yoona gulped. A knife struck her heart. Was it simply a childish nightmare or was there more to this confession? From his words and reaction, it didn't seem like an imagination. From her gut feeling, she knew it must be a memory.

He shifted again, his back against the bed. She grabbed onto his free hand, gripping it tightly. She wasn't sure if it would make a difference, but perhaps through his nightmare, he would be able to understand through her touch that he wasn't alone.

Minhyun's muscles loosened. His breathes becoming regular.

She knew that there was something he was hiding from her; the past he didn't want to admit. After his confession while she was 'sleeping', the thought always lingered at the back of her mind. What was he so scared of? What could possibly make her hate him? After hearing the words in his sleep, she couldn't help but feel as if they were all inter-connected.

And was there any way she could help?

However, seeing that he wasn't vocal on the matter, Yoona knew not to pry in. Minhyun probably didn't know that he talked in his sleep, exposing his inner thoughts. She shouldn't have latched onto this topic.

The best she could do for him was stay by his side and make sure he understood that she wasn't going anywhere.
