As Mika and Yumsa were busy looking for the old Vlacca clan estate, Braeden was hunting down the small clan leaders who escaped inside the city.

"Over there! Get them!" Braden spotted two leaders running farther into the city.

Braeden had picked up his bow and arrow to shoot, but with everyone running around a cloud of ash soon blurred his vision. Who knew that after thousands of years, the city would still be covered in so much ash and soot making it difficult for them to breathe, let alone catch these men.

"Sir, we were able to catch four of them, but I think the rest fled farther into the city."

Coming to the same conclusion, Braeden order half of his men to stay behind and led the rest farther into the city.

The sun was now high in the sky, and Mika had been walking since early this morning looking for the clues.

Every ruin they searched, held nothing but deteriorated walls and dry land. Not even coal could be found in these places.

"I don't get it. Even if Analise's fire burned the city to the ground, after thousands of years something should have started to regrow." Mika dusted off her hands after shoveling ash away from the barren ground.

"Analise's fire just took care of the city's appearance. However, the contamination was already slowly killing the plants, soil, and water of this land."

"The contamination was that deep!?" Mika though the contamination only affected the honey trees.

"Yes. Everyone first thought the water was the problem, as the water nymphs were the first to start dying."

"...water..." Mika thought back to the cave, the tree there was surrounded by a stream of water.

Closing her eyes, Mika entered her mind's space and sought Darko.

This time Darko didn't bother to hide and was waiting right where she left him yesterday.

"Darko, are all honey trees Analise planted surrounded by water?" Hearing Mika speaks with seriousness in her voice, Darko didn't correct her on his name and just answered her.

"Yes, they are surrounded by the water she created."

"She created water?"

"Yes. Your great-great-grandmother was an elemental, and a powerful one at that. Remember, when the Fae first arrived here, they were still demi-gods. It was Analise and her followers that bought life into the entire barren planet. Though, they paid a heavy price, as their powers were drained in the process."

"So, the pools and streams of water surrounding the original honey trees were precisely made for them."

"Yes."

"Thank you, I believe I know how the find her trees now." Mika left her mind's space and opened her eyes to Yumsa floating before her.

"Where did you go?" Yumsa was worried when Mika wasn't responding to her calls.

"I was talking to Drako."

"Drako...Drakonas! He's still alive!?" Yumsa flew to grasp Mika's nose, making Mika had to cross her eyes to see her.

"Yes....and will you step back some, I can't see you clearly." Mika uncrossed her eyes and rubbed the lids a little bit to release the tension.

"Sorry, I was just a bit shock is all."

Mika looked at the blushing Yumsa and surmised that it was more than shock that had Yumsa acting that way.

"Yea, sure whatever you say." Mika shook her head, is she the love connector for everyone around her!?

"What did Drakonos say?"

"I had to ask him a couple of questions about the honey trees, and I believe I know how to find them."

"Really!?"

"En...we need to find a body of water. Preferably a small pool or stream."

"Hmm? Let me think.....Oh! I know. There should be one close by."

Yumsa sat one Mika's shoulders, once again showing Mika the way.

Inside the heart of Ash city, a battle was taking place as Braeden and his men were capturing the last members of the rebel army.

"Just give up already!" One of Braeden's soldiers said as he fought with a rebel leader.

"No! I will never admit defea-Ugh!" Braeden hit him over the head the blunt end of his battle ax.

"Secure him." Braeden threw cuffs at his huffing captain.

"....I would have beaten him, you didn't have to interfere..." the captain mumbled underneath his breath, as he went about securing the leader.

"When? Everyone else was done, we were waiting for you!"

The soldier looked around at his comrades to see rebel soldiers tied and unconscious at their feet. Faced with the hard truth, the soldier said no more.

Once the soldier was done, Braeden was about to give the order to move out, when he thought he heard someone speaking.

"Shh! Quiet down..."Braeden signal for silence, wanting to make of what he heard.

"En...we need to find a body of water. Preferably a small pool or stream."

Looking at his men, Braeden knew they heard a fledgling's voice as well.

Wondering what a fledgling was doing at Ash City? Braeden sent a group of his soldiers back with the captives and had the rest follow him.

Yumsa led Mika to ruins at the edge of the city. These ruins were the most intact buildings throughout the whole city.

"What is this place, Yumsa?" Mika looked at the structure with a weird feeling of deja vu.

"The Urmuris empire built this place over our natural springs. I don't know what the place was actually used for."

The structure reminded Mika of the small stadium from her old world, but since most of the building has been destroyed, she couldn't be sure.

"Mmm...let's go inside." Mika carefully navigated her way inside with Yumsa sitting on her shoulders.
