Mano had contemplated whether he should show the video or not to these old bastards. He knew that as soon as word was out about Jaelah and their daughters, these old bats will come singing of their injustice.

With Lady Jaelah and Kamryn, he could dismiss the elders' fight for their reinstatement easily, but with Lula...

"Lord Mano?... Why aren't you saying anything?" An elder smirked.

Even if we don't have Miss Kamryn and Lady Jaelah, they could still create ties with the royal family through the future queen's sister, right?

Mano had his eyes closed, wondering whether to show the video or not.

He still didn't know who sent it or what their intention is but if he doesn't show the video, these old cows will continue to badger him.

He promised Lyra to change, he should make a clean break.

Walking to his desk, Mano pulled out his tablet from last night and played the video for all the elders to see.

When the recording stopped, the elders were appalled. They no longer had any words to say.

"Is there anything else....?" Mano looked around at the stunned elders, waiting for many more arguments, but none came.

"Good. As of today, the issue about the divorce is final. I expect everyone here today to keep all clan matters confidential..." Mano laid his hand on his tablet, to make his point clear.

The elders also knew that talking about that recording won't be good for anyone.

"O-Of course, Lord Mano. You have made a wise decision for the clan." With one elder leading the others followed and agreed with Mano's decisions before leaving the room.

Outside, Mika bumped into all the elders as they filed out one by one from her father's office.

"Oh! Hello, a great day we're having uh?...*breathes in*...ah, smell that fresh air!"

Having just lost their golden goose, they felt none of the joyous mood Mika was feeling.

"Miss Mikaela, shouldn't you take the mood around the estate into consideration before you make comments like those!"

"Hmm? Did I say something wrong?" Mika looked at the old crooks.

"Miss Mikaela, do you realize what happened to your two sisters!"

"Two sisters?... I don't know about sisters, but I do know about three women who did some underhanded things behind their clan leader's back, only to get kicked out on their asses...Are these the women that our elders are speaking up for?..." The elders felt like coughing up blood.

Grumbling, they left Mika with a swing of their arms and a shake of their finger.

They couldn't get father to change his mind, so they think to take out their anger on me, tsk!

Mika didn't bother with the old crooks and knocked on the office door.

"Come in."

"Dad..."

"Mika, what brings you here?"

"Dad I want to see the orchards."

Mano leaned back in his chair, he never got to follow up with Mika about her awakening.

"Mika..."

"Dad, I'll tell you everything when the time is right."

*Sigh*

"You are just like your mother with these secrets... Fine, take this." Mano threw a master key to the farms into Mika's hands.

"Thank you, dad."

"En.."

Mika left the office and went straight towards the orchards.

There was only a week left until she had to leave for school, she needed to get as many samples as she can before then.

Reaching the doors to the farms, Mika used the key at the gates to enter. Since Sienna's theft, her father has upgraded the security. An invisible dome now surrounded the whole farm, without identification or a key you will not be able to enter.

Inside, Mika spotted the farmhands moving back and forth, harvesting the sap and then preparing the trees for winter.

"Miss Mikaela?"

Turning at the sound of her name, Mika came face to face with the orchards director.

"Y-yes, director...?"

"Agis."

"Right, director Agis. I'm just going to take a walk through the fields, you don't have to mind me. You can go on about your work."

"Of course, Miss Mikaela." Agis bowed and then left Mika by herself.

Figuring the sick trees to be secluded somewhere towards the back of the orchards, Mika started there.

Nodding hello to all the farmhands, Mika acted like she was a tourist looking at a scenic view for the first time.

"Oh look, a pretty butterfly!... Lalalala... *Sniff* these flowers smell amazing...hahaha... Wow, look at that... Lalalala..." Mika kept up this performance until she escaped from the farmhands' eyes.

"Ugh... about time." After passing the last section of workers, Mika was finally alone.

Walking deeper into the far reaches of the orchards, an odor began to permeate the air.

Though lighter than the stench at the cave and Lord Tasar's farms, it still causes one's stomach to flip.

When the funk got thicker, that's when Mika eventually saw the trees.
