Thick and thin golden veins made up the tree from the top of its highest branch, down to its lowest root; where it connected to other plants in the surroundings.

This...this is what I should be seeing from the honey trees...

Feeling the vibrant energy flowing through her fingertips, she understood now why the spirits were dead and dying, if this was the sort of life they were use to.

Even she didn't want to leave it.

She had been continuously testing the sick trees but hadn't really taken to time to test her skills on the healthy living trees.

Was this why I never had this kind of feeling before...

However, remembering that now was not the time nor the place to be having this notion.

She was supposed to be having her test right now, and though she doesn't know how long she has been standing here touching a tree, she needed to stop before everyone starts to become suspicious.

Pulling her hand way from the tree, Mika opened her eyes. The last of the glow faded from the tree.

"What was that...?" A student ask as he regained his sight.

Ynaselle looked at Zaos for answers, but he had none. He never seen something like that before in his life.

Moving his glaze from Mika to the tree, his eyes brightening in amazement.

Though she didn't make the tree grow like Celaena did, it did have more vibrance to it. The color of the leaves were more vivd, the nuts hanging from its branch looked more heavier and lush. The trunk of the tree looked strong and striking.

Mika was seeing the same thing Zaos was seeing and didn't like it. She needed to fly under the radar, this is not under the radar.

Thinking of masking what just happen, Mika follow through with her original plan.

Swiftly calling all the water in the air and ground until training area's air was dry and the ground resembled dry mud. She pooled all the surrounding moisture into a ball in front of her.

With a ball of water four times her size floating in front of her, all the questions and attention that was on the tree was successfully distracted.

Okay, now let's get a good score...

"Professor Zaos, may I trouble you to find a willingly party to spar with me..." Mika smiled as she asked nicely.

"En...Ynaselle."

"Me!?" Ynaselle's voice rang out a little too loudly for her liking.

"Yes, let's finish this testing already. It will take up too much time to go find new guards again."

"Sigh...alright."

Walking into the middle of the ring, Ynaselle looked at the floating bubble of water then at Mika,"Student Amara, are you ready?"

"En." After nodding her agreement, Mika jumped into the bubble and sat down crossing her legs.

"Hmph! Fledglings these days..."

Picking up a wooden sword from the weaponry, Ynaselle immediately struck at the bubble. Sending two energy strikes at it before landing on the ground.

Sensing the attacks coming her way, Mika made a shield of medieval times made of the water from her bubble to block the hits.

"Hmm...very good. Let's take it up a notch then, shall we?" Before the shield could fully absorb the first of Ynaselle's attacks, she sent out four more strikes. They surrounded Mika from all four corners, closing in at a faster speed than the previous two.

Of course, I just had to be the one to get the teacher, right?

Mika cursed her luck, she shouldn't have waited.

I should have taken the test right after Saavi.

Instead of manifesting a shield this time, Mika moved the bubble around the training ring to avoid the attacks.

"Don't think I'll let you get away that easily..." Ynaselle laughed as the thrill of the fight began to flow through her.

Not wanting to stay on the defense any longer, Mika separated a couple of water droplets from the bubble and fired them at Ynaselle, like bullets.

Caught by surprise from Mika's water shooting, Ynaselle had to hold off on her offense.

"Damn...!" Ynaselle cursed as she ran to the tree for cover.

After successfully avoiding the last two attacks and breaking her opponent's third attempt, Mika didn't want her momentum to stop and switch to aiming water arrows. Circling the tree, any time Mike saw Ynaselle she would spend arrows her way.

Ynaselle had to continuously keep moving on the branches. With Mika's training with the bow and arrow, Ynaselle had a hard time escaping her precise aiming.

"Argh...!" Tired of playing the rabbit, Ynaselle waited until the bubble was right in front of her and then jumped.

Force to face a jumping teacher, Mika's stalled in her shooting for a few seconds, but the was all Ynaselle needing to throw the wooden sword in her hand straight into the bubble at Mika's head.
