When Mika saw that her warning to General Gilwneys was understood loud and clear, she finally gave all her attention to Ailwin. Unknown to her though, Ailwin had never taken his attention off of her for a second. He saw when Braeden tried to retake his place beside him and he saw Mika's clear warning.

He wanted to laugh but was afraid Mika might take it the wrong way.

"Is there anything you would like to buy at the shopping district?"

"Why? Are you going to buy it for me?"

"That depends on what it is..."

"You think I would spend all your money...?"

"Who was the one who made me pay the bill for a shop full of customers, just so you could get your sword." Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

"That was before I knew you, besides I did tell you it was mine. You didn't listen."

"And you wonder why I am skeptical about what you want me to buy."

"All right, how about we just get something to eat..."

"Okay."

"...for now."

Ailwin smiled as Mika got distracted when they reached the shopping district, and the smell and sight of the food stalls called out to all her senses.

Yup, I knew it. The way into this girl's heart is through her stomach.

Pulling her away from the long lines for street food, Ailwin led the group to one of the most famous eateries in the city, The Golden Spoon.

Guided into private room reserved for VIPs by the manager of the restaurant, the group marveled at service, scenery, and menu before them.

Saavi and Kaze were a little humbled by the whole scene and treatment, Jonas on the other hand fell into the atmosphere almost immediately. Everyone had almost forgot he came from wealth.

"When you're ready to order just press the buttons..." Bowing, the manager left the room after serving drinks.

"So, what will it be? Everything is on me." Ailwin was not going to have someone else pay for his date with Mika, even if they were out as a group.

"Mika?"

"Shhh! I'm trying to decide..." Mika was reading every word on the menu.

"Might I make some suggestions...?" Mika looked over at Ailwin before sharing her menu. Together to whispered back and forth over what dishes they should get.

Saavi picked up her menu to see an array of very beautifully descriptive dishes that didn't help her decide which ones she should get. She wanted to consult with Mika, but when she looked over, she realized Mika and Ailwin were in their own little world and she didn't want to disturb their fun.

"You don't know what to order?" Braeden had been watching as Saavi nervously looks over the menu.

"No..."

"Want an suggestion from me...?"

"Okay."

"Try this one, it's delicious. I have it every time I come here."Braeden pointed to a roasted herb chicken dish.

"You come here often...?"

"Only when that one.." Braeden pointed at Ailwin, "...drags me here, I not a big food junkie like he is." Braeden shook his head as he saw Ailwin added two more dishes on top of the four dishes he and Mika had already decided on.

"Me too, Mika is usually the one who drags me to all of these food places... Though I will admit that almost of time I will leave there satisfied."

"That is true..." They both laughed at the irony.

Kaze on the other hand was edgy.

Who knew just ordering one meal could do this to me?

He was about to throw caution to the wind and just press any button for any dish. He'll just eat it when it comes, whether it was good or bad.

"You don't want that one." Jonas spoke right before Kaze could place his order.

"You won't like it...this one...this one you will like." Jonas pressed the button, ordering Kaze's dish before going back to his own menu.

"En...thanks."

A little while later the food arrived and the mood in the room became more relax. Stomachs were slowly being filled and the conversation was entertaining.

That was until an uninvited guest intruded into the room.

Kamryn had been sitting in one of the booths downstairs with the group of girls from earlier this morning. Suddenly, one of them had pointed out that Prince Ailwin was at the entrance. Taking a peek, she recognized it really was him.

Thinking he must have followed her here to apologize for this morning, Kamryn fixed herself  up before he is shown to their table.

When the manager led him towards her booth, she could hear the girls sighing in discontent at Kamryn getting another princes to fall for her.

Ego inflated, she didn't realized that Ailwin and the manager had passed right by their booth to enter the VIPs' section.

"Who are those students that came with him?" Hearing the girls words Kamryn stop daydreaming to see Ailwin wasn't here for her, but to eat with a couple of students from the school. By the time, she tried to get a good look at their faces, it was too late; they had already entered the room.

Feeling slighted twice, Kamryn didn't have the face to look at the girls anymore. Nonetheless that didn't mean they left her alone.

"Kamryn, I guess Prince Ailwin really respects his brotherly relationship with Prince Thallan, to not even notice you when he passes by."

"Yes, he must want to lay those rumors to rest."

"...I wonder if the rumors were even true..."

"Probably not, what are the chances that two Princes are fighting over her....heh"

"...That's true, I wonder if Prince Thallan is even-"

*Bang!*

Kamryn stood from her seat, slamming her hands down on the table to stop the girls from saying anything more.

Excusing herself from the booth, she made her way to the restroom.

"...b***hes..."

Looking at herself in the mirror, Kamryn thought back to how close those girls' words were to hitting home.

After her wedding, she only saw Thallan five times and all of them weren't long enough for her to have their first night together. Things weren't going the way she nor her mother planned.

Fear began to eat at her as everything she did to try to get his attention was met with a cold response. The words those girls were saying had played in her head dozens of times already while she was living with Thallan. Now back at school she didn't want to hear these comments from the girls around her, especially the covetous ones.

Straightening her back and holding her head high, Kamryn whispered to herself in the mirror.

"You are future Queen of Kaia. The one they fought over, you can't crumble now..." Her confidence renewed, Kamryn left the restroom to walk straight towards the VIP room she saw Ailwin enter.
