The dense network of underground tunnels was like a new Underworld, and it was fortified by enchantment.

The first goal was to dig two wide tunnels underneath the city, using the cliff body as a foundation. Two 20-meters wide magical city gates would be built at the base of the cliff!
The enchanted city gates would not involve a push mechanism. Instead, the gates were to be pulled up using metal chains.
These gates had a great advantage. As long as they were tough, it was impervious to ramming. William did not have to worry that the gates would be lifted open as the opening mechanism was controlled from the inside.
Even if somehow the gates were being shattered…
William could simply destroy the tunnels by using explosions.
He would bury his enemies alive…
The second goal was to make full use of the 80-meter tall cliff. Legolas organized a group of people to construct arrow, pike, and cannon slots.
Whether it was the Darkness invasion or attacks from other countries, all of them would be subjected to projectile attacks.

These vines originated from the Blackleaf forest.
It was a defense mechanism used by the Blackleaf Elves. Although the name was not appealing, the vines were very tough…

“But when a teleportation portal was connected to the dimension vortex, and creatures entered the dimension vortex, they would be teleported to Stormy Island. Unless I use my magic to seal this route.”
