Chun Hwa in a Strange Nation 8
Wrapped in darkness, Chun Hwa could hear a voice that reverberated through his soul.
[I am the sword of Grete, Lamia. I have chosen you to become my owner, and will bear a pledge to you through your soul. You who will become my owner, will you be with me forever?]
“……”
Chun Hwa did not speak, but within himself, he was cheering. He had yet to perish, and being overwhelmed with emotions, a tear rolled down his face.
‘I’m alive. I can see my elder sisters.’
It took a bit of time for Chun Hwa to regain his composure, as he was too elated with the outcome. Having calmed down a little, he began to remember the words that were just said to him.
‘Lamia? Isn’t that the name of the sword that Greydrone was protecting?’
As if pressing for an answer, the voice rang within Chun Hwa’s soul again.
[Will you be with me forever?]
The voice sounded as if it was a mix between gentle silk, warm heat, and a delicate touch. It was a voice that was nicer to hear than his elder sisters. He would have been beaten to death if they had heard it, however, it was the truth.
[Will you accept me as someone who will be with you forever?]
The voice was heard again. At this moment, Chun Hwa tried his best to roll the pebble within his head. It wasn’t a matter of being with it or not. It had suddenly come out of nowhere to ask if he would be with it forever, not only that, but it wasn’t even a human but a sword. Chun Hwa had come to the agreement that this world was very disparate. Being fed up with it, he had given up. He couldn’t be surprised every time something puzzling happened. The problem was that, he had to somehow get out of this dream like state first, so he had answered back in a brusque manner.
“Alright, I’ll do it. I’ll do it, so what exactly have you been saying until now.”
Although Chun Hwa answered back insincerely, the other side seemed to have heard it as an agreement. He could feel the voice resonating against his soul.
[A promise of eternity has been made between our souls. I pledge that I will not forsake our promise for as long as my soul shall live. You are now my fated person……..]
As the beautiful voice subsided and a light spread out from within the darkness, Chun Hwa once again felt as if his body was floating on a cloud. Then, as his vision grew blurry, a girl with long, silver hair appeared from within the light. She was wearing beautiful clothes that were as bright red as the moonlight.
‘So beautiful………’
With those thoughts in mind, Chun Hwa’s vision completely clouded over.
