Chapter Two part One: You are a Pervert.

“They’re waiting for the Princess even more than our Prince, aren’t they?”

“You people aren’t the ones aren’t the ones marrying her, you know…”

The warriors grimaced at the sight of the crowd of people at Tarkhan’s palace..

No one can blame the prince’s siblings.

The husband wasn’t able to meet the bride because of those beasts, but the other royal family members were free to watch.

“But the King didn’t come.”

Fortunately, the King wasn’t there to see the sorry state of the Princess.

But what ended up happening wasn’t that good, either.

It was obvious what reason the Prince’s brothers and sisters had come all this way for.

“They’re spying on the Prince’s bride and trying to get rid of her somehow.”

Even if they were all from the same womb, they were somehow twisted and flawed.

But the bride had many clear faults that anyone could see.

As the warriors watched the royal family congregate around the carriage, their hearts dropped.

The royals would think that there was a new addition to that carriage.

The rule was that the carriage door would only open when it came to a full stop.

But it suddenly broke open!

Please don’t let it open.

Please, let lightning strike them down.

The door opened gently with no problem.

“Oh my God!”

“What the hell—”

In contrast to the magnificent carriage, the princess appeared as if she were wearing a giant flag.

The people present were so shocked that they could not even laugh at her.

The silence lasted only for a few seconds, however, and soon you could hear snickering from within the crowd.

“She’s definitely a match for the prince’s humble bloodline.”

“This is the perfect level for his bride.”

“I had expected a princess of Silvania, but even if I were to look under the Panyu River bridge, I wouldn’t be able to find such a pitiful woman.”

Giggles…

They continued to insult her and laugh as if no one could hear.

There were eyes that looked her up and down as if they were piercing into her.

Even the Silvanians who had accompanied her had laughed and ignored her. In fact, her own people’s eyes were even more mocking than the eyes of these strangers

“Nobody would ever welcome such a wretched person.”

“She’s been acting strangely since we’ve arrived to Airugo. Perhaps she thought that things would be different here.”

“Now that she’s realized what kind of place this is, she’ll finally become obedient.”

Everyone, except Durante and a former guard of Tarkhan, laughed at and scorned Aristine.

At that moment, a piece of cloth covered Aristine’s body with a flutter, covering her with an enveloping smoothness.

Huh?

Her body was lifted up before she could even figure out what had just happened.

In a flash, her feet were swept off the ground, and firm hands and thighs caught her as she was about to fall.

“My Princess.”

A low voice, like the growl of a beast, rang in her ears.

She shuddered, her skin crawling with goosebumps.

Aristine then realized what had happened to her: someone had wrapped her in silk and was holding her in his arms.

“Ah, um…”

What the heck was this person even thinking?! People will misunderstand!

Aristine’s face twisted in embarrassment, but the man holding her didn’t budge.

Although she tried wriggling away, this only resulted in her leaning further into his chest.

His shoulders were so broad that she was totally buried against his warm, firm chest.

“Hey! Stop touching me, let go of me this instant!” Aristine cried.

The Silvanian knights also shouted at the man.

However, their clamoring wasn’t because he was holding Aristine, since to do so was not a crime.

“Hey! Do you even know what type of silk that is!? It’s valuable enough that to buy it, even a box of gold would not be enough! Such silk is reserved for the King of Airugo…to…”

The knight’s words trailed off. His mouth clamped shut and his eyes quavered like a ship in a storm.

Aristine was truly amazed; she was completely overwhelmed by this whole situation.

Even though he didn’t really do anything, why is everyone so afraid…?

As soon as she lifted her head up, her eyes met his for the very first time.

Oh, the gleaming eyes of the sun.

So pretty.

They had a golden gleam that she could not forget, even if she wanted to.

“So what?” the man asked. Without looking away from Aristine, the man’s lips moved smoothly.

It was a small voice, but strangely menacing, as if a beast were growling quietly.

“I’ll give you everything precious, my bride.”

Bride?

Only then did Aristine realize.

When she turned her eyes away from him, she could see Durante and the other warriors kneeling before them. It was a spectacular sight to see the tough fighters bowing their heads together.

The Silvanian knights were behind him.

She had never seen those arrogant jesters behave like this before. Although they faced the  Airugo with mockery and loathing, they could not say anything against them.

There was an overwhelming sense of intimidation surrounding this man.

This is the person–

His eyes met Aristine’s again.

Unlike before, this time she knew for sure who her opponent was.

He is my husband.

Tarkhan looked at his brothers and sisters who had gathered to ogle his bride, but the bothersome royals quickly avoided his gaze and turned away.

It was not worth the fight. Tarkhan took a step and strode into his palace.

The courtiers there knelt to welcome the return of their master.

“Do not let these mistakes be repeated,” said Tarkhan, who then put Aristine down lightly on a large sofa.

“Already so attached, my lord?”

Arristine was astounded at the courtier’s reply.

Usually, even it was a façade, servants would tend to cower and cringe in front of their masters. But this person seemed totally unphased.

“It’s not like you enjoyed it either, my princess.”

“That’s true.”

Aristine agreed with Tarkhan’s words, though she hadn’t even considered it from the beginning.

Even if she didn’t look into a mirror, it was obvious what she looked like at the moment.

When Aristine’s arm was lifted, instead of perfume, the stench of sweat wafted out.

“If you look at me like that, isn’t it kind of dangerous?”

If Tarkhan really ate her up like he looked like he was going to, the only thing he would be able to taste would be the dust that covered her.

Although Aristine was shocked by his beauty at first, now she could only see him as a pervert.

“Oh, I should not think of this person as a pervert,” Aristine muttered to herself.

But no matter how strongly one denied it, the end result would always be the same.

“So…”

“A pervert?”

“What?”

Tarkhan could not understand what she was talking about. What was this about a pervert? Even though she had mentioned such a thing, her face showed little emotion.

Tarkhan clicked his tongue. “No, I don’t care about such a thing,” he ordered the courtier, “Wash her.”

Even in this dusty state, Aristine tried to correct the situation.

“We are married after all.” She said it suddenly.

He was wondering what else she was thinking about, and then he realized what she meant.

Women always wanted him to do that.

Tarkhan wore a disturbed smile.

“Do not worry. You will be eaten only after you are washed. No one would eat a dirty woman.”

He had really gone and done it now. You should never say such a thing to women who had grown up in posh and luxurious palaces. Besides, if they were dirty, then they were dirty, there wasn’t much difference after washing anyways.

Tarkhan glanced at Aristine, but soon he became annoyed.

I don’t care.

Why did it matter what she thought?

This was a marriage that is ordered by the King. It’s not like she was actually important to him.

“You’re still going to eat me…..?” she asked, her lips trembling.

Even though he was the one who said it first, it truly gave a different feeling when the words came from his own wife.

The woman paused, looked him up and down, and spat out, “You…”

Ah, that voice sounded quite pleasant.
