There was no need for any unnecessary dialogue, because the necromancers were already attacking the moment we got on the slope. Green bolts of death energy fired towards us in mass, and it was only by quickly deploying another shield, that we survived.
So maybe just charging at them was beyond stupid, but there was no benefit for us if we dragged this fight out for too long. After their death energy impacted the shield, the Necromancers faced something they didn't expect...…..guns.
Soren along with the hundred other monster vehicles were built with weapons before they pissed and restructure each vehicle. Those guns, now cannons in some cases were still there, and they packed more of a punch than ever before.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Flashes of light and flame lit the air as four of the thirteen necromancers were directly blown to bits. Others lost an arm or a leg, and raised a shield of their own to defend against the onslaught of varied elemental bullets. But these shields of theirs couldn't seem to hold, as only three necromancers outside of the lich himself, had a shield strong enough to resist.
Their cries were pitiful as their shields and bodies were torn through and turned to ash. It was the most decisive and anti climatic fight I've ever had in my life. I expected to put up a lot more resistance to be honest, but it is what it is.
The remaining three necromancers started chanting a spell, and based o. The fluctuations of energy I'm pretty sure every vampire could feel in the air, it was bound to be extremely powerful, which was why I didn't let it come into being.
[Perception Cutting Gleam]
The beam of white light flew out of my blade and impacted the chest of the necromancers. As if to prove that they were very much still alive, their spell faltered and blood began to seep out of their noses. They looked confused, dazed, and open.
The Envoys took advantage of it, and attacked, sending all sorts of attacks at them, essentially evaporating those necromancers before they realized what had just happened. Apart from the fact that this was too easy, it was boring.
As soon as the final necromancer fell, all of the undead, except for the final division that had the bone dragons and Dullahans, fell apart. Literally! Limbs and joints dislocated from the zombies, skulls fell off spines and skin was peeled off of flesh. Whatever spell it was that kept them animated, was broken, and their soul flame poured out of their body, and gathered into one massive green ball of energy almost two hundred feet in the air.
It was like a mini sun, only that it was green, and it was not hot or cold, just dead. There was a sudden stillness on the battlefield, almost like the proverbial calm before the storm.
With the bulk of the undead army defeated, I felt that it was time to move the shield forward. Even though the rune was now something completely independent from me, relying on the power of nature to power itself, it was still created by me. So I could still exercise a measure of control over it.
The shield began to move forward, slowly but surely it was gaining ground and turning what was left behind by the undead army to ash and dust. To be honest it was an impressive sight, a massive wall of light with the ability to purify and hurt the undead. I'm sure the council of light would kill for something as profound as this.
"How dare you! Those were my generals! Do you have any idea what it takes, or how long it's required to train 3 sixth circle necromancers and 10 fourth circle necromancers. It took me three hundred years you meddling piece of shit. Not to mention my army, the army I've been building and putting together for four thousand years, fractured by you! Ahhhh! Tell me your name, I want to know your name so that I can tether it to this realm of existence, and in the body of a dead flea!"
So I guess we've established that the lich was very angry, like pissed beyond the point of being reasoned with. I guess there was really nothing I could do about it, he was an obstacle, and I had to get rid of it.
"There's no need for too much talk Mr. Lich what ever the fuck your name is, when we've taken your head...…..scratch that we're not taking your head we'll just rip your soul out of that body you're befouling." I said to him.
"Oh! Do you know this new vessel of mine? I quite like him though, because possessing his body was so much fun. Do you know he was still alive when they brought him here? Sure he was almost torn to pieces, but he was hanging on. He wanted to get back to his beautiful Varsessa, his innocent little Lynn and his kind Nivae. But also to his strong and responsible Kodak, and his unfortunate mute of a son who's a little too smart for his own good Gus! Ahhhh! Now I know why those two besides you looked so familiar. You're his boys, Hahahaha what an amazing family reunion. Let me let you too in on a little secret Hehehe. I made sure he suffered, over and over again. And I kept his soul stuck on this plane until the blow that broke the camel's back came almost a month ago. The death of his wife, it broke whatever was left of his soul seeing as they were bonded and connected even beyond death. Let me whisper it to you boys, you see when your father's soul finally expired, it was the most amusing and satisfying light show I had seen in a very long time. His broken soul made pretty little lights as he just fizzled out, erased from existence, like he never was born in the first place. Your father was weak, he was nothing! Seeing as he couldn't protect his spawns, and so was your bitch of a mother who I think deserves to die for bringing gross abominations like you two into this world!"
[Arggghhhhhhhhhh!]
A psychic scream split and hammered at the minds of everyone here. Gus had gone made with rage, and so had his brother. Their armors suddenly came to life, covering their bodies, and actually changing, blending and reacting with the anger within them. They charged at the lich, intent on making him pay for his crass words against their family. The other Envoys moved to support them, but I stretched my hand out to stop them.
"Leave them be, this fight is theirs and theirs alone."
Kodak teleported, appearing right besides the lich's throne, and smashed his blood hammer straight for his head. A transparent green shield showed up above the lich's head as it defended from Kodak's full powered strike. The shield rippled and released a shockwave that pushed Kodak back.
Gus threw a spear made of blood at the lich, but his shield seemed to encompass his entire body, as the blood splattered over it harmlessly. The lich wave his hand, and bone hand made from energy flew towards Gus, hoping to catch Gus of guard. But Gus teleported away, and just in time as Kodak had pushed a wave of blood underneath the throne of the lich, and shot him upwards like a geyser.
The throne was separated from the lich as it flew sideways. The lich made himself float, as his eyes began to glow a deep green, and skulls made of green fog began to spiral and blow around him. A part of the fog separated and encased the throne, almost as if it was trying to keep it safe. Then the lich pointed his hands down at Gus and Kodak sending the fog of skulls down at them.
The only problem was that Both Gus and Kodak were no longer on the ground. Kodak teleported above the Lich and smashed his hammer on his head. Once again his barrier protected him, and sent a ripple that pushed Kodak back. But this was only a diversion. The lich had made one very big mistake during the duration of this fight, and that was showing to everyone how much of an importance that throne had to him.
Gus appeared in front of the throne and smashed a fist billowing with a sort of heat wave or energy. It completely blew the thrones it pieces, showering those of us still waiting on the ground with debris of wood, metal, and a wardstone that lost it's luster.
"Kyarrrrrggggghhhhhhhh!"
The Lich clutched at his chest as he fell from his place in the sky. But Kodak was not going to let him fall just like that. He appeared underneath the falling Lich and swung his blood hammer upwards at his falling form. There was a very loud thud and a miserable scream as the Lich was sent back into the air.
And Gus was there waiting for him with a spinning kick to the gut that sent the Lich falling right back to the ground. This time Kodak didn't attack him as he fell, instead he created tiny, yet fine needles made of blood, and sent them flying upwards at the lich, watching with cold eyes, as they shot into his body like the bullets of a machine gun.
BANG!
The lich fell to the ground with a loud bang, but he was not completely out of the fight as he waved his hand as sent a spear made of bone through Kodak's body, shocking everyone by the sudden attack. But he acted as if the attack was nothing, and slammed his hammer at the side of the Lich's head, caving in his skull.
And then Gus dropped from the sky, sending his entire forearm through the chest of the Lich. The lich screamed in pain as his body shook in pain and agony. Then Gus pulled his hand out, and it was completely covered with black blood.
"You two are formidable fighters, but know this, destroying my throne has left my soul tethered in the body of your father. Hahaha, which means to kill me, you have to completely destroy every speck of this body, down to the last cell. Can you do that? Can you watch you father die again, and this time at your own hands and in the most brutal fashion possible. It will break you both, that way even if I die, I still win...….urff!"
Gus shut him up with a punch and stepped back, holding his brother who was hunched over as I walked towards them. Kodak was healing, but it was a little too slow, and he would probably bleed out before his wound heals completely. Seems the bone spear was not ordinary, but had a corrosive quality to it, that was slowly eating away at Kodak's flesh.
I moved over and placed my hand on his wound, using the soul rune [HEAL] to completely take care of his wound. Then I turned to the lich and said to him.
"My name is Kael Cor, and for the rest of your days, you won't ever forget it."
"Hahaha, how pitiful, how weak! So you won't kill this body due to some sort of sentimental bullshit! You're going to imprison me for all eternity because you don't have the balls to destroy a face you know. But I'll torture just the same, with this face, I'll make sure the hearts of these boys ache every time the see the face of their father full of hate for them. I can't imagine how their sisters would feel."
I shook my head and sent my soul energy into the body, it didn't take long for me to find the sweltering mass of black ooze and darkness that was the soul of the Lich. The I pulled him out, and using the blood around, formed a blood crystal and shoved his soul into it. And then just like Adein before him, I placed the soul rune [Dream] and made sure he would be existing in an eternal nightmare. The I threw the trapped soul of the lich to Gus and said.
"Here's your trophy. Now you're the coolest guy around.]
