Kodak knocked on the door of the house in front of him. It was located in a rather secluded place, and it was his first stop In his quest to bring down the slave merchant that Bob had sent him after. The merchant was well protected, but apparently he would be able to find a way to get to him, by looking for his errand boy. Kodak was not here to kill the guy, on the contrary he was here to employ him as a spy. Of course he doesn't know it yet, and it's not as if he's also going to be doing it willingly.

The door swung open with a loud creak, and Kodak found himself standing face to face with a scruffy looking faun. Of course he wasn't sure if it was a faun or a satyr, they were both goat men, but apparently different in a lot of ways. The Faun/Satyr in front of him was scraggy, messy and downright dirty. Kodak could smell the scent of sweat, grime and sex allover him, and most importantly the smell of death. This guy was definitely not a saint, and Kodak did not have to see him do wrong, he could practically smell evil from his body.

"What do you want boy! I've got no females in stock for you to pop your cherry, come back when your balls have dropped a little lower."

Kodak twitched as he almost punched his head off his shoulder. Shao Tie was not helping matters either as the boisterous laughter of the dragon could be hear ringing in Kodak's mind. At first Kodak was not sure what to say or do, this guy was even more vulgar than Kael, and Kael was the most vulgar person Kodak knew, he cursed a lot after all. But this goat man was in a league of his own.

"I'm looking for Ramon Goldfinger, do you know where I can find him." Kodak asked, choosing to stay in control of his murderous tendencies and let the smelly goat man live long enough to get him what he wants.

"Pffffttt, you're looking for the Goldfinger….seriously! Do you have a death wish or something kid, he doesn't deal in boys. So he wouldn't buy you no matter how good looking you are, though you do seem exotic with your purple eyes, horns and red skin. He might consider buying you, but I would have to see your worth first, you know….get a little sample of the goods to know if it's acceptable to the boss."

(Ha haha haha haha oh that's so funny, he wants to sample you. By all means young vampire, please give it a shot, at least then you'll shop being a virgin.)

Shao Tie's voice rang out loud in Kodak's ear, adding more flames to the fire of anger that was slowly burning within Kodak's stomach. It was not as if Kodak had no idea where to find that Goldfinger dude, but he needed to get direct access to the man to avoid causing a bloodbath in his attempt to stop Roman. Roman was well connected to big players in Duwaiser, if Kodak kills him and is exposed in the process, he would probably have half the entire town breathing down his neck.

"I need to find him, I have information about a group of vampire that are going to be smuggled out of Duwaiser by midnight today, and apparently this vampires belong to the inner circle of Kael Cor."

The goat man widened his eyes in surprise, looked left and right and then dragged Kodak in his dingy home, which actually smelled a lot worse than he did. Kodak had to resist the urge to bend over and vomit as his eyes gradually watered from the stench that assaulted his senses. The place was quite dark, but Kodak could see easily, however he pretended to stumble around, just to keep up his pretends of being an ordinary mixed race kid. Kodak could felt so devoted that every second he spent in here made him feel all kinds of wrong. The goat man grabbed the collar of his shirt and slammed against a wall. Kodak had to fight hard to resist the urge to growl and retaliate at the rough manner this goat man was handling him.

"Where did you hear this, and who did you hear it from?" He asked as he stared at Kodak with his beady black eyes.

"I heard it from a group of men talking at the docking bay, and older human guy wearing a crest of a lion surrounded by Dragons, and the other person seems to be a young girl, I think the man called the girl Rhea. They're moving the vampires tonight, and they said they're going to leave a nasty surprise for the town on their way out." Kodak made sure to sound as scared as possible, even with his horns, red skin and Violet eyes, Kodak was rather innocent looking, so he was banking on that. However this goat man was still suspicious.

"then why did you come to me instead, why aim to sell this information to Roman Goldfinger rather than someone a lot more wealthy and powerful than him." Kodak opened his eyes wide and asked looking confused.

"Isn't Roman the one responsible for selling vampires? Should I have gone elsewhere." The Satyr looked at Kodak and started laughing as he patted his shoulder, as if to comfort him for a loss.

"you stupid little boy, you really didn't think this through did you. You just wanted to make a gain from your information, and so you ran to most familiar person who dealt with vampires, rather than going to someone who would pay you a lot more than Roman. But I admire your tenacity boy, I'll teach how to sell information properly once I get back, but for now wait here while I go relay this to Roman. He would want to lead the charge himself. Don't worry, I'll get you your reward. Just wait here for me to get back."

There was no way This goat man would not have bought everything that Kodak had told him. After all Kodak had been subtly using the Allure the entire time to make his words seem believable. The bloody goat man never stood a chance, though Kodak could have used the Allure to completely have him complete the task he needed complete. But the Allure was not an all powerful skill. It started out weak, and you had to train it. Kodak could not erase the trace of him using the allure. Once he uses it, his victims become nothing more than mindless puppets, with their sole focus being to complete the task they have been given.

A truly power user of the Allure could easily make a man kill his entire family, and that man would believe the choice was his right from the start, and he would be aware of his actions. But for now all Kodak could do was this, however Kodak still had one more card to play before this goat man gets Ramon Goldfinger into the ambush he had prepared for him.

"Wait!"

"What is it boy! I don't have much time, there's money to be made!" the goat man spoke with his tone heavily laden with impatience.

"Look at me very closely and listen to what I have to say. You never saw me, you don't know me, you found out about this tip from an anonymous source. If you see me on the street, that's to be the first time you ever seen me. Now go, hurry!"

The glassy eyed look on the goat man disappeared seconds later, and he shook his head a bit, feeling a bit confused about why he was facing a wall or how he got there. There seemed to be a blank within his memory, but he didn't have time to worry about it. He had a mission to complete, and time was of the essence. The goat man left his house, coming out into the dark streets of Duwaiser as he took off running towards the northern part of the city. His hooves made clopping sounds as they touched down on the pavement, heralding his arrival and his sense of urgency to the world.

Kodak stood on top of a street light, his gaze on the furry figure of the goat man, a promise of death and pain within his gaze. Kodak would wait, and watch as all the pieces he had arranged fell into place. The wind blew with ease, wailing and howling as the scent of an incoming shower filled the air. Rain was good, because at the very least it would wash away all the blood that's sure to be spilled tonight. Kodak could not help smiling, Duwaiser was weird, but for some reason he had found a soft of peace within the lawlessness of this hell hole.

Everyone here was a runaway, all of them hiding from the world for a number of reasons. And Kodak fitted right into them, he has only been here three days, but this place was already growing on him.

"You look really comfortable up there little one."

Kodak had to fight the urge to roll his eyes at his landlady as she looked up at him from her spot on the street below him.

"Ikaria what do you need now, you've been all up in my business since I moved in." Kodak said to her as he crouched down still standing on the street lamp and looked at her.

"You're going hunting, I want in." she said to him as she pushed her glasses upwards.

Kodak raised an eyebrow and looked at this landlady of his, a woman who he recently discovered had two personalities. One; a simple librarian/secretary, good girl. And the other, a sultry firecracker that could match him blow for blow if not more. Kodak didn't trust her, she was weird in every sense of the word, but even he didn't know why he said.

"okay let's go."
