When you're left with a choice, a choice that would take away someone you love, what would you do. It was like Jack and Rose with the Titanic, Jacob and Bella from twilight (I still hate that movie), and now I'll be joining the long list of men who lost the women they loved to chance, circumstances, fate and sometimes just being a good person and doing the right thing. Would I do the right thing, will I give Asha back her life, the life she's truly meant to live even though I knew that I would lose her in the process.

I wanted to be selfish, I really did. But whatever choice I make, I'm still going to lose her either way. There was no right choice out of the two options Dracula had given me, and it more than shows that just as much ad I've been blessed, my life is more screwed up than most. And my habit of loosing people I care about does not seem to be at an end, it's like I'm cursed.

I was sitting over Soren as we made our way back to the bridge that would lead out of Transylvania. So far we've been attacked by mercenaries six times, and each of those times, Soren and Emrys has had to fight on their own to keep me safe. I wasn't in the right state of mind, so I couldn't focus, not when I had a massive rock in the pit of my stomach, and a colossal cavity within my chest.

Still they gave me the space I needed and kept silent about my encounter with Dracula, whatever might happen, they knew I had to make this choice myself, and whatever that choice may be, they were ready and more than willing to support me. But it wasn't fair, life really sucks and I hate that it seems to like tormenting me the most. It's not fair.

I didn't notice that we were already on the bridge until her dark chuckle brought me to attention. I watched as Kali slithered around the bridge in her monstrous form, every mouth on her body chittering in tandem with the other as she shook with excitement. I noticed that she had grown larger and longer, but I was not in the mood for chit chat or a fight. But after everything I've found out, Kali was a threat that had to be removed, at the very least this was a way for me to help whatever is left of Transylvania.

"I can feel the residual energy of my divine essence clinging to your Aura, your Majesty. Tell me where is it, or better yet, give them to meeeee!!!"

She was excited, but she was also creepy, but she also had to die….which if you think about is situation I would prefer. This thing was an eyesore, and even though a god can't be truly killed unless of course it's with a god killer, at the very least I could banish her into none existence for a few thousand or a few hundred thousand years, a million is not out of the question.

"You're responsible for how messed up Transylvania is aren't you? The barrenness, the cold, the heat, the lack of life and the hard way of living, all these happened just so that you can feel worshipped and have more power. Why?" I asked.

My voice was bland, even to own self, I could feel how dead my voice was, how devoid of life or joy or vibrancy of any sort. I truly sounded like someone who had the weight of the universe on his shoulder, and Kali noticed it.

"I think you just answered why your Majesty, it's so that I can be a more powerful goddess, so that I can be loved and respected beyond the title of just being a simple demon goddess. I was rain and blood, divine ichor and immortal bodies to rain from the sky, falling to the strikes of my trident as I establish dominance over the realm of the Gods. You're not fit to judge me, because apart from the fact that your hands aren't clean, I am the demon goddess of war and demons. Your unworthy of being in my presence, much less judging me. Now hand me my properties."

Looks like this goddess has quite a chip on her shoulder, I could feel the rage and the anger she felt, and with I felt the unease of the souls she has captured within her body. I felt their pain, the apprehension they felt about being used in a fight again. Just by being in her body they run the risk of ceasing to exist, which meant they would be completely cut off and erased from the circle of life, not even becoming a memory.

"Emrys please kill her, and make if fast." I said to the tiny sleeping dragon on my shoulder.

"I'm not your executioner, kill her yourself, all you need to do anyway is with it and nature would bend over for you. Me? I have to actually put in the effort to drop this has been. And to be honest I'm quite happy where I am lounging on your shoulders, so please take care of the trash yourself."

His answer definitely annoyed Kali that was for sure, and it sort of jolted me our of my brooding mood, at least for a while. Choosing whether to give Asha her divine essence was a perilous bridge that I had to cross, and so I'll cross that bridge, when I get there. But right now, I'm going to do something I've not done since I was reincarnated here, something that I'm sure no one else has done…..I'm going to kill a god, well a goddess.

"Emrys help me with this." I said to Emrys as I got off from Soren's back and faced Kali.

"We had a deal! I've kept my end of the bargain, so do the same! Where was your moral compass when you made the deal with me! You didn't even give a fuck about Transylvania, so why make things difficult for both of us. You know you can't kill me, I'm immortal, a goddess! No matter how many times you keep on attacking me, I'll keep on coming back, healing, undying and just as powerful. But you, regardless of the fact that you're a vampire, and you have a talking lizard and a mechanical lion with you, all these things won't be enough for you to beat me, much less kill me. The only outcome is you dying, so make the right choice and give me back WHAT'S MINE!!"

It's imperative that in any fight you don't sow weakness to your enemies. But Kali was frantic, the idea of how true power being so close to her and yet she couldn't take it left her on edge. She was bound to make mistakes, however the fight wouldn't even last long enough for her to know what hit her, plus she would be holding her punches anyway. She's felt her divine essence on my aura but that's just a residue, a proof of sorts that I've come into contact with something divine, and it carried a scent she recognized as hers.

But she knew it wasn't on me, she didn't know where they were, but I've not denied finding them, which means they have to be somewhere out of sight, hidden away from her. She'll want to beat me into submission just so that I can hand over the essences to her, killing me means she looses them, and maybe this time forever.

But she was in for a shock. Emrys turned into a beam of light and went into my chest, and almost immediately the world seemed to spin sideways as I blacked out a little. But when I came to, I was already in my dragon form, a form that dwarfed Kali as I flew above the bridge and the river of blood below it.

"That's not possible, no how? You're a dragon! And you have an aura, an aura of a god. It's not strong but it's close to one, like some sort of demigod! What have you done with my divine essences, tell meeeee!!"

All the mouths on her hundred meter long giant centipede body stretched open as all manner of attacks, elemental, physical, soul and spiritual alike seemed ready to go off. She had completely misunderstood what was happening here, thinking that the power I had now; my ability to shift into a dragon and even release the Aura of a god meant that I had probably used her divinity to gain such power. But she was wrong, and she was about to find out the hard way.

Before she could release her attacks, I opened my ferocious jaws wide and spewed out my black and white flames. Now these flames were powerful, how could they not be, they're the flames of a dragon. However there was a secret between them, as said flames are not to be used in a crude manner. The black flames were flames that punished souls, destroying them if they're found evil and tainted by the kind of life they've lived, and the white purified souls, cleansing them and preparing them for rebirth. But that was just a rough explanation, another would be the black destroys souls and the white heals them, but all in all they're both very hot destructive elemental forces, and against a monster who's entire body seems to be made up of souls....it was like pouring salt on an earth worm.

"Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Her screams seemed to shake the world itself, the flames rapidly spread allover her body, burning at her flesh that was made from the faces of wailing souls, and as she screamed so to did the souls. There was no sound of burning, neither was there a scent, there was just screams of agony, such that even reality itself seemed to suffer for it, as the earth quake and the river of blood in the ravine down below boiled and raged over like a storm at sea.

Her huge and monstrous form seemed to keep getting smaller and smaller, with everything being stripped away and burnt into nothing. And as she grew smaller so to did her screams, and the screams of the souls she had trapped for hundreds of thousands of years. They were free of her control and of her torment, and as she was burned to nothing, there was a sudden explosion of light, and standing before me, in a form that dwarfed even my dragon body, was a beautiful woman, though the four arms she had would have been a mood killer for some, she was without a doubt a beauty that many would never forget. I was looking at the true form of the goddess Kali, a final gasp or display of her divine power just before she faded to wherever it is gods faded to when they died, only to return many years later.

"I will never forget this King Kael of Leonis, I'll come back, and it doesn't matter how long it takes, I'll make sure you pay for offending a goddess of my stature. A million years in limbo and darkness is a price I'm willing to pay for revenge, and you better hope you're alive then, or your children and their children's children would suffer for your sins." That was a powerful threat, but who says I'll be the same by the time she gets back.

"Once you come back, if you come back. And you stupidly refuse to take your second chance at life and make the best of it, and choose to instead come after my family. Just know that I'll be there to stop you, and even if I'm not, I guarantee you one thing. The next time you face a Cor of my bloodline, as an enemy....that's the day you die….and this time it will be for real." And I meant every word I had just said to her.

And then just as she appeared, she fade away in an explosion of light, leaving behind a glowing red crystal ball. A fourth shard of her divinity. The earth shook harder, the blood river flowed swifter, and I could hear thunder and lightening dancing in the sky as the winds blew with fury. I think it knew, I think they all knew, the universe knew that this day, Kael Cor had killed a god, and it was damn easy.
