Shu Yidan walked slowly, his hands flicking in every stroke. It was the martial art technique that was sealed in his memories, Eight Trigrams Divine Palm. The predecessor had cultivated it secretly, and reached peak Houtian realm or the level that was expected of a Jianghu's First-Rate expert, the tier of experts that dominated the mortal world, the 'World of Martial Arts'.

Unfortunately, it was a waste.

Martial artists ranked their cultivation as Amateur, Third-Rate, Second-Rate and First-Rate. When the Martial Dao was at its peak, all these martial artists would be put under the realm of Houtian and be on the same tier as Qi Refining Realm cultivators.

But the Martial Dao had fallen into mud and the Immortal Dao ascended to the sky. The cultivation stages ahead of Houtian were meaningless as a breakthrough was impossible.

Not speaking of the broader perspective, even comparing Qi Refining cultivators and Houtian martial artists, the Qi Refining cultivator would nearly always win. Even a peak Houtian expert who dominated the Mortal World couldn't match a 4th Layer Qi Refining Realm cultivator.

Jianghu's martial artists were focused on refining True Qi and all their martial arts were sword or spear based. This didn't change even at peak Houtian realm, the limit of martial cultivation.

The Qi Refining cultivators of 4th Layer… while their cultivation of Spiritual Qi couldn't match to the reservoirs of a peak Houtian martial artist, they could use spells and control flying swords.

The battle would proceed like a match between a guy with a pistol and a guy with a knife. Even a dumbass would know the victor.

There were always ways to upset the table. Battle circumstances, top-tier martial arts, treasured weapons… but nevertheless, from the 4th Layer onwards, Qi Refining cultivators could mop up ten martial artists of similar ranks comfortably.

Heavenly Wind Sect's Qi Refining cultivators were required to learn the Flying Wind spell. Adding any treasures on their hands, they could turn tail and flee, summon their seniors and exterminate the clans of the idiot martial artists who dared to offend them.

The seniors could range from peak Qi Refining cultivators, to Foundation Establishment cultivators, to Golden Cores, to even Nascent Souls…Not to speak of Divine Transformation and Void Refining cultivators.

That was a major reason why sects held so much clout and weren't to be offended.

While the Eight Trigrams Divine Palm was quite a decent martial art and would probably make rivers of blood flow if thrown into the mortal world, from Shu Yidan's perspective, training it was a waste. At the most, it helped train up his True Qi and tempered his body. For looks sake, it could help forge his muscles.

But that's all it was good for and all that could be done easier by using some spells and pills.

As the Heavenly Wind Sect's young master, Shu Yidan's predecessor should have known what an utter waste of time training in martial arts should have been. So why waste time on this?

With such thoughts on his mind, Shu Yidan walked leisurely, heading to his room where he had asked Feng Shiyao to take Xiaoyi. He had impressed on her to NOT treat Xiaoyi as an enemy, but something might have gone wrong and they could erupt into battle. So he had to go to take care of the girls.

Just then, a blue-screen flashed, time stopped and notifications filled his eyes.

[DIVINE QUESTS]

[Note: These quests DO NOT require use of cultivation base, nor do they require risking of life. Thus, these quests are extremely safe and require only time to complete.

And so, they are all compulsory for completion. Rewards would be awarded after total completion of 15/15 quests!]

[Meet up with more girls!]

[Fuck Feng Shiyao!]

[NTR!]

[Throw money at a girl to bed her!]

There were more than ten quests and all of them were from the True Immortal Divine Sense transmission he had sent to his former world of Modern Earth. In truth, he had only sent the message out to check if he wasn't in an illusion of some sort; after all the spatiotemporal channel through which his soul transmigrated would fade away soon. In the past timeline, he didn't even know the means by which he transmigrated and no illusion would be capable of incorporating something like that.

The fact that Modern Earth existed was comforting, and the fact that he wasn't in an illusion even more so. He didn't have any ambitions to return back to Earth – he was dead there, to start with.

Any attempts to return by sending an avatar would probably end the world due to the sheer incongruence with the Laws of Physics, reincarnation would saddle him in a random kid's body with him being incapable of meeting up with his friends and family and if he couldn't do that, what was even the point?

The True Immortal Divine Sense established a way for him to harvest faith energy and would give him luck by driving his fate towards certain fortuitous events. But what the fuck was with this?

No quest description, no description of rewards and no nothing. Even the quest titles were half-assed. He was supposed to bring his dick out and fuck a number of girls in the way that the quests described.

And he would be given rewards after completing these missions. Not to mention that he hadn't gotten any benefits from the system, since its activation was pending.

What was the intent? A sense of pride and accomplishment? This system was worse than fucking EA!

Despite being a transmigrator from Modern Earth, Shu Yidan had attained the cultivation of True Immortal in only 250 years in the past timeline. He had pride that he never allowed to surface in his interactions, yet it was buried deep in his bones.

And now he was supposed to whore his body out like a fucking AV Star on this unreliable system's directions?!

The True Immortal Divine Sense surged out like a flood dragon rising up from the lake.

With one thought, the entirety of his body was scanned.

With another thought, the located foreign entity in his body, the System, was forced outside.

Before him, a pearl of Divine Energy floated. Shu Yidan was utter shocked seeing it.

Was this the faith energy harvested from Earth? The quantity was enough to create a Divine Energy Spirit Stone that True Gods would desire!

And that was with the newly established pathway cast by a single Divine Sense transmission?

No wonder the System turned greedy! This amount was enough to match a newborn Saint, it would certainly be enough for the System to gain sentience and sapience!
